  1. Today's silver lining is that there's absolutely no evaluation needed at the QB position. It's all up to the college and pro player personnel department and McBeane to pick the best guy for the future. They better find some competent WR help as well, but that shouldn't be too difficult.
  2. Same here. Competent QB play wins that game. The player personnel department better make the right decision on whether FA or the draft is the best way to address that position.
  3. The Process was never about tanking, like the Sabres. It was about building a team culture of accountability and sell-lessness. That's being accomplished whether they make the playoffs or not. And in the long run, having meaningful games in December for the rookies like White, Dawkins, Milano and Jones may be of greater value than 2-3 earlier slots in the April lottery.
  4. Moulds caught 54% of the balls targeted to him in his rookie year (only 37 throws, BTW). Jones at 37% is just abismal... Moulds: https://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/M/MoulEr00.htm Jones: https://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/J/JoneZa00.htm
  5. This is a great thread...especially now that the 16-page ignore limit has been lifted. Like shoot'n fish in a barrel. Thanks, OP.!
  6. This headline from this story shows up in a lot of websites, based on a google search. Probably just MAG-nuts flocking to the site to spew their SOS... https://www.google.com/search?q=NFL+TV+Partners+Set+To+Lose+Up+To+%24500+Million+On+Ratings+Decline&rlz=1CAACAG_enUS765US765&oq=NFL+TV+Partners+Set+To+Lose+Up+To+%24500+Million+On+Ratings+Decline&aqs=chrome..69i57j69i60l2&sourceid=chrome&ie=UTF-8
  7. Not really. it's pretty common to tear cartilage and not even need surgery... https://www.mayoclinic.org/diseases-conditions/torn-meniscus/symptoms-causes/syc-20354818 "A torn meniscus is one of the most common knee injuries. Any activity that causes you to forcefully twist or rotate your knee, especially when putting your full weight on it, can lead to a torn meniscus. Each of your knees has two menisci — C-shaped pieces of cartilage that act like a cushion between your shinbone and your thighbone. A torn meniscus causes pain, swelling and stiffness. You also might feel a block to knee motion and have trouble extending your knee fully. Conservative treatment — such as rest, ice and medication — is sometimes enough to relieve the pain of a torn meniscus and give the injury time to heal on its own. In other cases, however, a torn meniscus requires surgical repair."
  8. Sigh. After taking a two-year hiatus from TSW, I was wrong to come back this August...
  9. I think we need a Rasputin as well....
  10. Any player personnel input Russ had was for 1-2 years at most during the Marv II GM experiment. He acknowledged his limitations as a 'football man' but stepped into the role at Ralph's insistence, so Wilson (as with so much about the Bills) was the root problem. The issues with this team run much deeper than than anything Brandon did--or did not--do over the past two decades. And BTW, Russ is the most accomplished guy the Bills have had in terms of actually doing his job. That's not even open for debate, given his track record of selling seats to a bad product for so many years....
  11. Psychologists call this displacement. Pinning the problem on a guy who sells tickets just because he's been associated with the teams is silly, IMO.
  12. Patrick was here for a year and he left when his contract ran out. The Pegula's newly-hired GM chose to go it alone and they handed him the reins. Would it have been better if they meddled in the day-to-day management decisions? Isn't that what 'fans' B word about the most when it comes to ownership faults, whether in Buffalo or elsewhere?
  13. Revisionist history. Craig Patrick was one of the most experienced hockey men in the NHL: https://www.nhl.com/bluejackets/news/craig-patrick-accepts-position-with-buffalo-sabres/c-699794 Tim Murray was a great GM pick according to all media reports, hockey analysts and the majority of Sabres fans: https://www.si.com/nhl/home-ice/2014/01/09/pat-lafontaine-shows-genius-in-hiring-tim-murray-as-buffalo-sabres-new-gm The worst aspect of TSW is how so many posters revise history when things don't pan out. There was significant enthusiasm and support for the Sabres and Bills hires--and not acknowledging as much is two-faced simple mindedness...
  14. I was wrong in saying letting Jonathan Williams go was a mistake. Young RBs really are a dime a dozen...
  15. Yet another reminder of how TSW makes each day worth living...
  16. Terry say "F*** it, I had more fun drilling holes in the ground"...
  17. I've seen a lot of bad Bills football over the past 50 years...but today's 'performance' set a new low for me. There are SO many holes to be plugged. It's next to impossible to think they can start to move forward next year. Even if they land a quality QB, it could not make up for the lack of talent in the defensive front 7 or offensive line. This is way beyond discouraging
  18. I'll await the postmortum.
  19. Anybody know the NFL record for INTs in a game???? BTW. where's Savior P.....
  20. I hope McD is humbled by this season and learns from it. Hubris is often a career killer...
  21. What the hell does DiMarco bring to this team...
  22. That's the world we live in now. Nothing matters but this instant in time...
  23. No, but Dareus occupying two blockers and allowing the MLB to flow to the ball has been AWOL since his exit....
