  1. Yep. As Peter King said in his MMQB column yesterday, the Colts bungling has cost Luck three seasons in the prime of his career. https://www.si.com/nfl/2017/11/06/drew-brees-saints-kirk-cousins-redskins-week-9-mmqb "Luck essentially misses three prime years because of a shoulder injury that should have robbed him of one. The Colts believe Luck probably tore his labrum in Week 3 of 2015 and essentially tried to play/rehab/play through it for the next two seasons. The Colts finished 8-8 in 2015, with Matt Hasselbeck playing in relief in a season that ended with Indianapolis out of the playoffs. If, say, Luck had shoulder surgery on Nov. 1 that season, he’d have been able to rehab it and likely play opening week 2016 at something very close to 100 percent. But he missed 10 games over the next two seasons, and with Luck often playing far below 100 percent, the Colts won just 10 of his 22 starts. So Luck missed or was severely hampered during his age 26, 27 and 28 seasons. In his three seasons at that age, Peyton Manning, Luck’s predecessor, threw for 13,024 yards and 105 touchdowns. That’s the prime of a quarterback’s life.
  2. Reading comprehension alert... Oh, and BTW, fug Caputo (and the Roger Stone's of the world)...
  3. If the O-line can't step up it's game, then the whole offense will stumble regardless of the talent added at WR...
  4. The natural tendency of this coaching staff is to be conservative and minimize mistakes. That's difficult in a hostile environment where the other team is, more often than not, pinning back its ears and blitzing more than THEY would typically do on the road. Throw in the under-performing O-line and WR corps and that's a tough roe to hoe for this roster. Still, The lack of screens, swing passes or any plays designed to exploit the agressive pass rush the Jets threw at them was maddening. Throwing away first down by repeatedly running vanilla running plays for no yardage was not a good game plan...
  5. Interesting pickup. Seems like a good third down option as a pass catcher. But only 27 carries in 66 career games (and just 16 in the past five years!) is a bit odd...
  6. I agree with this. But it should be the OCs job to design an offense that allows TT to use HIS unique talents that most other NFL QBs can't touch. More read option, more moving pocket, more designed runs. He's limited in his passing tree but few QBs have his legs and movement skills. I'd love to see what Andy Reid could do with TT...
  7. It's got to be tougher for older linemen like Incognito (34 years old). The average age of the Jets DL (26.3 years) is an advantage in a short week vs. the Bills starting OL (29.8 year old average). The fact those DL are a lot more talented group doesn't hurt, either...
  8. No OL? What game was I watching....
  9. That's a very accurate assessment. Most concerning was how out-muscled the OL and DL were. Admittedly, the Jets DL had fire coming out of their ear holes. But even Glenn and Incognito were getting collapsed with regularity. On the other side of the ball, #99s ability to clog the middle was sorely missing. That's Football 101 and the coordinators appeared to have little ability to adjust to the Jets dominance...
  10. LBs are a product of the D-linemen ahead of them. The defensive line got out-muscled most of the night, exposing the LBs deficiencies....
  11. Very noticeably. Dareus didn't have stats that showed up on the box score but he absorbed double teams and clogged the middle. Didn't see much of that last night...
  12. Offensive and defensive line. That game was lost in the trenches, on both sides of the ball....
  13. Bingo! We have a winner...
  14. They're OK. All the Brownie fans I know in Cleveland have transitioned to being Ohio State fans. Not good for the NFL, however, to have an amateur hour franchise like this year after year...
  15. Keep em.' At this point, team unity and 'defend our dirt' are worth more than a third round comp pick.
  16. I agree. All the posters who joined TSW in March 2017 are absolute @*&%! and should be ignored accordingly...
  17. Can't see them keeping both. This FO doesn't seem like it would tie up that much cap in one position. A hallmark of McD's process is competition. They have nine more games to prove who's more worthy of receiving a long-term contract. Should be interesting...
  18. Disagree. OJ set the standard for his era and was not even close to being stoppable when defenses knew exactly what was coming. he carried that team on his back. Bruce was the GOAT at his position, but not the difference maker OJ was...
  19. OJ > Bruce on the field. What happened after he retired can't take away from that...
  20. Benjamin's a four wheel drive Escalade compared to Watson's Ferrari Portofino. One's better suited to a cold weather, run first team. The other's perfect for the fair weather, high octane LA offense. Barring problems with Benjamin's knee, this should be a win-win roster upgrade...
  21. Agreed. Nothing in that statement is a shot at the Bills. In fact, if you read his entire comments--which this 'kids playing in Mom's basement' website omitted, he was very complimentary to Buffalo and said he will miss it a lot. Just BS clickbait...
  22. Another March 2017 going to the ignore trash heap. What a surprise...
  23. People can agree to disagree on this. Selling low works from time to time. But it is not a good operating model. Beane has to show that he can be a patient seller, rather than Crazy Eddie...
  24. Likely two of those guys will be gone after this year...
