  1. Perfect. Although you do realize this guy's been using a ghost account to stir up attention for quite a while, right......
  2. If you think Jim Heaney is objective and knowledgeable, I've got a great deal on a slightly used bridge for you....
  3. I see they've taken any reference to their methodology down from their site. If they're still dependent on broadcast feeds for their player evaluations then they're exceptional marketers but lousy talent evaluators... Edit: I found this gem in their FAQs: https://pff.desk.com/customer/en/portal/articles/2505598-why-is-player-x-rated-so-low-or-so-high-in-your-rankings- Why is Player X rated so low or so high in your rankings?Last Updated: Jul 06, 2017 11:17AM EDT This is easily the most asked question we get and so it is going to get pride of place at the top of our FAQ. The first thing to note about our “rankings” is that they are not rankings in the traditional sense. We don’t measure talent; we’re not telling you who the best players are. Our rankings are more of a performance evaluation, and a reflection of how efficiently a player made plays in the time he was on the field.
  4. Per whom? Mrs. Ducasse?...
  5. Well deserved negativity, as well....
  6. "More journalists and investors will pay attention if The Athletic can get to the point that it can rely only on its own revenue, rather than having to turn to venture capital." The problem with these ventures isn't quality, it's quantity. The F5 problem, if you will. Newspapers battle this every day, and TBN's Bills Blitz is showing how difficult that constant day-in-day-out demand for content that people will pay for can be. Sure, everyone 'wants' high quality long form articles. But that takes time...they just don't pop out of the oven like Timbits. So quantity rules, and with it an acceptance of 'good enough' rather than exceptional. The Bleacher Report analogy seems apt. And it may be all these guys want anyway if they can cash out in a few years. I hope their stable of writers are getting equity. If not, they're just setting themselves up to be sold off to some deeper pocket media conglomerate who'll then start attacking the cost structure to recoup the purchase price. Rinse and repeat...
  7. Saw that as well. It's a really fine line, with all the hand movement and other things OL are allowed to do these days.
  8. I've wondered about how they're using the DT's this year. They seem much more focused on gap control and clogging the middle on pass rushes so the QB can't step up in the pocket. As opposed to the high risk-high reward stunts, twists and out-right guessing the DTs ran the last several years. It looked great in the past when Kyle and Dareus stunted/guessed right and shot gaps, but there were nearly as many 'guess wrongs' and big gash plays up the middle. Discipline can make a DT look a lot less active, but ultimately more effective in a team sense. It's also not as much fun to play, which may be the biggest problem for Marcell...
  9. Played 41 snaps (57% of defensive plays) plus 7 on ST, which I believe is his high for the year. He seems to be getting his groove back...
  10. That one shocked me--especially in that situation and down and distance. Maybe the most critical play/time of the game and they gave it to guy who hasn't had a snap all season, ran it wide...and it worked! Who are these guys...
  11. Dan Quinn is giving this game away. Ultra ballsy fouth down gambles offset by plain vanilla offensive play calling. Weird...
  12. LB coverage ability was a glaring problem (except for Millao's INT ) That said, I was really impressed with the way Winston was getting rid of the ball. The pass rush was good all day and he took a lot of hits but got the ball out fast and accurately. Much better than that Thrursday night perfomance against New England when he looked downright bad, despite throwing for 300+
  13. LOL. I knew you were smarter than me...
  14. Waivier claims go to the team with the worst prior year record...
  15. Says the guy with your avatrar? Looking for a bit of attention are we? Off to the ignore bin you go...
  16. Asshat. Defend post #78 that I replied to or #95 above. I'll wait for your fair and balanced response....
  17. Not at all. Shining a light on close minded petty comments is an appropriate thing to do. But ultimately, it's a waste of time. Like tying to bail out the ocean with a bucket. HGH....
  18. Gone, baby, gone... You just proved my point about parochial, judgemental.
  19. ML's a west coast kid through and through. Parochial, judgemental upstate NY was a bad fit--but that applies to most Bills who grew up in larger, more urban areas. Fat, drunk Canadian chicks stumbling around on Chippiwa might disagree, but I enjoyed Marshawn's time here...
  20. According to Wiki, he died of diabetic ketoacidosis, an ailment common among diabetics caused by high blood sugar and lack of insulin...
  21. Agreed. Although who knows how the coaching staff wanted Lynch to play. It seemed like they ran a lot of Dennison-like wide stretch runs, which Marshawn just wasn't suited for.
  22. March to the left, March to the right. March right out of here...
  23. Cap hit is not contract. If I was DC Tom I would include 'stupid' in that sentence, but I'll just bite my tongue...
  24. Again. Not an insider at all. Just a guy who agents plant stories with. He's no more legit than Mr. "I swear on my kids grave" from a few years ago...
