  1. Fake news. The biggest one's are in D.C.....
  2. To paraphrase DC Tom, only the stupid ones...
  3. Tough to do, now that playoff expectations have been raised. The pressure from the 'pitchfork and torches' portion of the fan base will be a lot different this year. With a more difficult schedule and so much uncertainty at QB and both O and D lines, rebuilding the roster pretty much insures "year one" of the next playoff drought, IMO...
  4. Only 8 playoff games in a 13-year career is certainly going to hurt him. Still, I think his 17,698 all-purpose regular season yards should be enough to get him over the top (1,100+ more than Thurman's 16,532)...
  5. Oh man, that brings back memories....
  6. Yep. his son Jay played for the Bills from 1999-2001. Here's a 'Billsy" entry on Chuck's Wiki page that made me chuckle: "...Foreman just missed a rare NFC 'Triple Crown' (rushing yards, receptions & TDs) in 1975. The last regular season game was a nationally televised contest during a classic Buffalo, NY snowstorm. A hostile crowd supported hometown hero O.J. Simpson, who moved in front of Foreman and tied Gale Sayers' NFL record with his 22nd TD of the season in the first half. Late in the 3rd quarter, Foreman was hit in the eye by a snowball while chasing a pass. He went out of the game for a couple of plays, then returned with blurred vision to catch a six-yard touchdown, tying Sayers and Simpson for the record. That was it, though; he spent the last quarter on the bench, and less than a minute later, Simpson scored on a 54-yard reception to surpass Sayers & Foreman."
  7. Silly. He's the guy who named each of his three boys after himself...
  8. Watched him only twice last year, wasn't impressed either time. Probably a lock to be a Bill then...
  9. User rating?? Come on man, the user ratings are going to be generated by the 10-19 year old demographic the movie is targeted to. If you're over the age of 30, that's useless for making an informed decision.
  10. Viola's double steak and cheese in Niagara Falls...
  11. That's my problem with Bucky's column as well. Instead of working the room, he appears to have hung out at the buffet table--and then got upset when the party ended so soon. A real columnist (like any of the guys at MMQB, or even a kid like Rodak) would have looked for other insiders to talk to. Gleason appears to have sat on his ass and fumed. He then went back to the BN and pounded out a snarky piece that didn't even touch on the salary cap, CBA, NFLPA or contractual issues. Lazy, lazy, lazy. You could go in any barroom and get that kind of perspective...

  13. Too many moving parts, IMO. You'd likely be stuck holding #13 if some other team jumps ahead of the Bills into the top 4, which ultimately would be too expensive...
  14. The Wall Street Journal News Alert Fox Wins Rights to NFL Thursday Night Games in Five-Year Deal Fox Broadcasting has secured the broadcast television rights to the National Football League's Thursday night football package for the next five years. The new pact is valued at $3.3 billion, a hefty increase over the current agreement, according to people familiar with the matter. The deal sends a signal that Fox will continue to be an aggressive bidder for content even after parent company 21st Century Fox agreed to sell a significant chunk of its entertainment assets to Walt Disney.
  15. He'll continue to be a great scout team QB at an affordable price. No need to move along from that role, IMO...
  16. What's the competition for Cousins? Would the Jests have an interest, with all their cap room?
  17. Wow! Didn't see that coming....

  19. IMO, Lattimore will win for the same reason so many guys get into the Pro Bowl. He's got the league-wide 'buzz,' plays in a bigger market that went deeper in the playoffs and Buffalo is still an afterthought on the national NFL stage...
  20. This is where I'm at as well. I also don't want anything to do with Bradford's injury history...
  21. Which is certainly the way so much of this board swings. Certainly a big part of that is the Bills history of ineptitude. OTHO, some is an automatic reflexive attitude by (more than a few) posters that "management is always wrong" and/or out to get 'the little guy'...
  22. Wood probably thought he needed to get it in before the Super Bowl and told his friends/family to show up Monday. Next week, nobody will care about football until the combine...
