  1. Picked 22nd in 2004....
  2. He does fit the mold. It'd be funny if they take him....
  3. ....No Aaron Rogers, either. http://www.espn.com/blog/buffalo-bills/post/_/id/24186/bills-gamble-on-j-p-losman-in-2004-backfired-badly
  4. Fair enough. Rosen's interviews made me think of Brady. The whole, "I don't give a $hitt what you think of me, I'm comfortable with myself." He may not give off the jock vibe that Mayfield does but Rogers never gave off the jock vibe relative to Farve...and that turned out alright. The California kids are different. Sometimes you get a Losman, sometimes a Rogers...
  5. Love this line: https://www.buffalorumblings.com/2017/4/18/15340020/buffalo-bills-nfl-draft-mitchell-trubisky-nfl-history-trading-up-franchise-quarterback "Going back to the merger in 1970, a trade into the top ten for a QB has happened twelve times. Two of those quarterbacks won a playoff game with the team that drafted them. Three have spent time in prison."
  6. It''s plenty strong. Just not that accurate or efficient....
  7. Bad footwork according to whom? Ittakestime? Lol...
  8. The problem with the Uber/Lyft business model is that some people began to think it could be a job. It was always about '"what the hell, I'm going that way and could use some company."
  9. LOL. I must be watching some other combine...
  10. Agreed. That seems much more process-like...
  11. Rosen is the top of this class as a pure passer, based on the combine throws I've seen so far. The ball is always ahead of the WR, who doesn't have to break stride. Man, he looks good in shorts vs. these other guys...
  12. Different eras, differnt opportunities for AVP to throw. Van Pelt averaged 32 throws per game, Marino 25. And yet Marino had 15 more TDs Marino: https://www.sports-reference.com/cfb/players/dan-marino-1.html Van Pelt: https://www.sports-reference.com/cfb/players/alex-van-pelt-1.html
  13. Not real impressed with his combine interview with NFL.com. Seems like a nice kid but I don't see a 'face of the franchise' kind of guy...
  14. Not really. The group-think of draft ratings, buzz, media and fan pressure generally push QBs up each year, causing teams to irrationally say 'It will be worth it this time." The QBs go where they're slotted and the teams that trade up are the ones who go out of order...
  15. Thanks to Andy Dalton A QB-trade up/bust would surely doom this GM/HC combo. No way this fan base/owner is patient enough to just shrug it off. But as you say, the Not For Long league would just keep flowing and the Bills could easily be mediocre for another 5-6 years...
  16. And yet, 30 seconds of Googling finds ample support for his premise. While some of his So-So's could be debated, the gist is generally correct. https://www.cbssports.com/nfl/news/history-says-trading-up-for-a-first-round-quarterback-is-generally-a-terrible-idea/ https://www.buffalorumblings.com/2017/4/18/15340020/buffalo-bills-nfl-draft-mitchell-trubisky-nfl-history-trading-up-franchise-quarterback http://www.nj.com/jets/index.ssf/2018/01/does_trading_up_for_a_quarterback_in_the_nfl_draft.html
  17. Good reads.... https://www.cbssports.com/nfl/news/history-says-trading-up-for-a-first-round-quarterback-is-generally-a-terrible-idea/ http://www.nationalfootballpost.com/the-comprehensive-guide-to-10-years-of-first-round-trades/
  18. Agreed. Peas in a pod, except for the difference in athleticism...
  19. Bingo! Jimbo was a selfish, me first kid when he was drafted. Worked out pretty well once he grew up...
  20. His point is about trading up to get one. If your guy falls to you, that's a win as you don't deplete draft capital....
  21. Signed, All the GMs that produced those statistics.....
  22. Very happy to see so many offensive linemen on that list. IMO, it's a major priority to upgrade both lines, particularly the O-L where we basically have one established starter...
