And yet, isn't that same expectation on the front office. The players take their cue from the FO's indifference--and so do the paying customers...

I know the players do this for a living and make a lot of money by everyday standards--but it must also be a motivation killer to recognize that the front office isn't doing anything to help them. Sort of like kids whose parents are unemployed, sleep in to noon every day and then yell at them to "bring me another beer!"

Actually, it wasn't much of an issue until he called them SOBs. That lit the fuse and the massive increase in player solidarity. Absent Trump's name-calling, there's no mass protest, no dilly dilly by the MAGA-noids, no hit on team revenue...

Neither do most folks bitching at the players...

I don't get all the dilly dilly in this thread. If Wentz were in this draft he'd be the top QB by a mile IMO. Each one of this year's crop has at least one negative more pronounced than Wentz had in his draft year. His top question mark was quality of competition, which is always a crap shoot. But that's better than a mechanical/decision making/athletic issue if he isn't overwhelmed by playing at the next level. I believe that's all Mayock is saying, and I agree with him...
