Battle for the Division: Bill and Pats remaining games poll.
Slack_in_MA replied to Chaos's topic in The Stadium Wall
Great poll! With a sh*t ton of cap space to spare until Maye comes off his rookie contract. -
Not sure who that comment is meant for, but I'll reiterate my very recent comment: he didn't belong being drafted as high as he was. I don't think he should be getting the snaps that he does, but I don't blame him for that. I think he could be productive in the right role, which I don't believe they are putting him in. That's all.

Mecole Hardman, Come on Down! (Signed to Practice Squad)

I think he could block field goals... -
Agreed. They didn't want to play up tempo due to the heat, got behind and chased the game. Josh had two killer TOs, and the depleted defense was gassed and let up two bigs runs late. Ballgame. We need guys to come back on D and not turn the ball over on O.

Except for a knee injury and interest from other teams? -
That’s just recency bias. He didn’t look too broken after the Chiefs game. Look at most QBs that lost yesterday and you’ll say they looked similarly “broken”. I think “disappointed” is the right word.

I thought the same. A little CYA move.

Anyone else see on the NFL Network this morning that it’s reported that the Bills definitely tried for both Waddle and Q Williams at the deadline?

Going to the game in Miami this Sunday - Suggestions?

https://floridabillsbackers.com/events/ We did the ticket and tailgate package a couple years ago and had a great time, although the Bills lost. I think the tailgate is in the Yellow lot for buses. It was the hottest I think I’ve ever been in my many decades on Earth (it was September, so…) Stay in Lauderdale— Bills fans everywhere especially the Elbo Room. The stadium location sucks and it will take you forever and a day to get an Uber outside the stadium after the game. Walk a mile and you’ll have better luck. -
What team "won" on trade deadline day-2025 edition
Slack_in_MA replied to TBBills Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall
Tell you in two years . -
Is that how you determine the success/failure of the trade deadline? Do you think they know the details of the offers?

Glad he’s out of the AFCE?

No HC bats 1.000 Do you also give credit when he’s made good/great decisions or do you just cherry-pick the bad stuff where talking heads say something publicly? His win-loss record is what it is.

Who in the hell is conditioning these players?
Slack_in_MA replied to NavyBillsFan's topic in The Stadium Wall
In response to your added comment, and back to OP’s original intent, isn’t it an intriguing thought as to whether the Chiefs health over time is a matter of luck or better conditioning? I think it’s fascinating and I can guarantee that every team has some analytical wonk on staff who pores over injury data, because, as they say, the most important ability is availability. -

My point isn’t to try to get to root cause immediately, but rather to determine an objective measure to see if 1) the Bills have a trend that is improving, degrading, or staying steady, and 2) to see how the Bills compare to the rest of the league. We know all our team’s injuries by heart and how much they hurt, but how are they in relation to everyone else? That helps you understand if the Bills are an anomaly. If they aren’t, then using injuries as an excuse is just that— an excuse. -

What would be interesting is a trend of some sort of meaningful injury stat over time, e.g., starting player games lost per year by team, because you’re right, in any year a team can have sh*t luck, but if there is a persistent trend over X years, that might point to a chronic problem.
