  1. 100%. Hell, Edelman was a QB in college or something, wasn’t he?
  2. I agree they never had awesome wideouts, but they had elite slot guys in Welker and Edelman.
  3. We drafted the lead singer of Midnight Oil?
  4. So, if one of the top DTs had magically fallen to us at 30, you believe Beane would have taken Hairston anyway? I’m not saying you’re wrong. I’m interested in your learned opinion on something I don’t research one iota. OK, maybe ONE iota, but definitely not two. 😉
  5. I dunno. Listening to Beane’s presser, I got the feeling he thought he was getting a DT yesterday, and was a tad disappointed having to “settle” for Hairston. Not from anything he said but by his demeanor. 🤷
  6. Obliquely… excellent.
  7. I won’t be surprised at all.
  8. No doubt. I’m praying for one of them to be like “WTF, there’s no way I’m playing for that sh1t organization”. Now that would get me up in my chair!
  9. Oh hell no
  10. He ran pretty well for 40 yards with that scoop after Lamar’s fumble in the playoff game. Still can’t believe that guy didn’t knock it out of his hands.
  11. Boy, I'd love a scatter plot of each team's overall ranking and their winning percentage. I see we're in pretty good company down in the bottom third.
  12. Stones show in '81. I was 15 and my parents finally caved and let me go because "they may never tour again". LOL. Got a bit overserved at the tailgate. Stood on the field about 20 yards from the stage, packed shoulder to shoulder. It was warm and muggy. George Thorogood and the Destroyers are working their way through "One Bourbon, One Scotch, and One Beer" and my lights went out. Couldn't fall anywhere so I just slumped straight down. My older brother took me up to the concourse to get some air, and I was good to go. Journey got booed off the stage after about five songs and then the Stones rocked the house.
  13. That’s one intellectually lazy analysis, IMO.
  14. I personally think (and hope) they're smarter than laying their cards on the table for 2025 in an end of year press conference. That would be kinda dumb before the draft and free agency, IMO.
  15. I guess I and many others are in the camp of "We're really close. We're competitive with the Chiefs-- they're not blowing us out (even though it kinda feels like it) and we've proven we can beat them in the regular season. If we make smart moves with players and scheme modifications, I think we can get there". That said, if the record goes the wrong way and there's a sense he's losing the locker room and/or Josh's trust, then all bets are off and he probably has to go.
  16. Where do we look for such a no-brainer, slam-dunk coach that's out there laying around unemployed? Maybe we can look at coaches that have beaten them in the playoffs or regular season recently.
  17. It got peoples’ attention and got them talking, like this thread. From a marketing standpoint, “mission accomplished”.
  18. I think Mack Hollins showed up ready to play.
  19. If the players didn’t believe they can beat them, I don’t think the score would have been nearly as close as it was. Plus, I read somewhere that they actually beat them earlier in the season. Next question.
  20. There’s always a thread that convinces me to tune out of TSW until the draft. This might be it.
  21. Been enduring disappointments like these for over 50 years, so I'm to the point where my recovery time is measured in hours, not days. Today, I treated myself well-- bundled up and went for a long walk on a cold, sunny day. Treated myself to a nice lunch out. Then got a 1 hour massage. Although I'm here, I'm trying to limit the doom-scrolling. It's a lot of people talking past each other and fixes nothing. Go Bills!!!
