  1. Would he cancel himself out by being a loss and a gain? Lol
  2. Bills are just cheap and dont want to have to make new jerseys so they went out and signed another Gaines.
  3. I'm a fan of McCoy and dont want to see hin traded, but no way philly doesnt laugh at that trade proposal Philly would be looking for McCoy and one of the Bills firsts for probably just Foles (maybe they throw in a later pick too) McCoy is an older RB, Foles is a QB and SB MVP now. Why would they be giving up more to get the older RB when, as the narrative around here goes, RBs ate a dime a dozen and can be found anywhere?
  4. Isn't it John Ritters daughter?
  5. If your going to say the giants and Broncos needs for a QB are overstated, how are the Jets not included in it too? Like the Broncos they have someone for now along with developmental guys still on the roster. The Giants have Eli who is getting to the end of his career and there's no plan in place for after him. It's the best time and situation for them to get his replacement on board so your not struggling to find one after he is gone. 6. Yup, just ask the Colts how that's working out..... If their line is busy you could also contact the Lions too.
  7. That's your definition of franchise though. The list of QBs you gave as franchise seem to be more in the elite category which i would put above franchise guys. There's more to winning and getting to the playoffs then just the QB, they still need a team around them. McNabb, Luck and Eli are Franchise qbs, Luck and McNabb may have been held back by the supporting casts.
  8. That's the key, it still depends on the quality of the player themselves. Just because many teams are desperate and draft the QB early it doesn't mean they will be a true franchise QB. This draft has anywhere from 4-6 guys who are viewed by some to be picked within the top 5-10 spots, but no one knows who should go where cause they all have serious question marks and non are sure fire can't miss guys. You can call guys like Marriotta, Smith, Trubisky and Bradford franchise guys, but would you give up over 5 picks in the first 3 rounds of a draft for one of those guys? Vince Young and Winston were top picks who like the guys in this years draft, thought of as franchise QBs, would you trade up a bunch of early picks for them too?
  9. To be fair, if a textbook football tackle happened to someone in those locations, they would also likely be charged with a felony assault...... What's the new rule going to be? Big Frat boy d-bags are allowed direct headshots on defenceless players after the whistle? Cause as long as he is in a Pats jersey they wont make a rule that will punish him for doing something......
  10. Or he really likes him and just doesn't want him to have to go to the QB graveyard called Cleveland?
  11. There are 2 reasons you don't make the deal prior to the draft. 1. You want to make sure the reason you are making the deal is still there. You don't make a trade like the Jets did to get a certain player without knowing that the player will still be there when you pick. It's pretty obvious now they have at least 3 players in mind and would be happy with any of those 3. 2. You don't want to give other teams the chance to counter your move and get ahead of you to get what you want. Unless your moving up to 1, you don't want to give another team a chance to jump you after you make the trade to get what you want.
  12. Better watch out, his abilities may be all from witchcraft
  13. Water can be used to generate hydro, but electricity and water don't mix. Don't believe me, you should try experimenting with it........
  14. The difference is that atleast your going into the season with the intention to try and win games. Your fielding your best possible team while intending to try and win until the deadline when it becomes apparent that your team can dump some expiring contracts and start rebuilding. Pulling a Buffalo and going into the season with the intention or goal of being the worst so you get the best odds at the #1 pick is rarely done and frowned upon because people are paying good money to watch and be entertained by the team and it doesn't help the league when teams intentions aren't to try and win every game.
  15. You guys are forgetting, this is THE Drew Stanton, someone you would trade Mario Williams straight up for....... Maybe this will be the new NFL offseason trend, collect as many mediocre and old QBs you can to go with old projects and a highly drafted rookie, whoever collects the most wins the off-season!
  16. I would think it's similar to the film industry or players. Coaches have agents in agencies, those agencies would inform leagues people they have available with write ups of their previous work credentials. Teams would then look over these lists and inform the agents they would like to interview a client of theirs. I don't think it's like other jobs where they just say they need a coach and people just submit a resume to them
  17. Maybe they are trading for Mario Williams?
  18. We can't have electricity in our igloo, the heat from the electricity melts them and water and electricity don't mix.......
  19. 6 INTs in a game isn't the same as 6 INTs in the first half of your 1st career start...... Being a highly rated prospect you could say that maybe it was just a fluke or bad game, or it's against the Pats and they had the playbook well in advance, but when your a 5th round pick against a middle of the pact team, you won't get the same slack.
  20. Wait, a former Bill heading to Carolina? Isntnit supposed to be the other way around?
  21. Thats whats always funny around this time. A team/coach/GM does something you like or agree with and it's "this is what they are doing....", they Do something you don't agree with and "it's a smokescreen to throw everyone off..." The moved up to 12 because that's what they were able to do to maximize the return for Glenn. They were planning on moving him to clear cap space anyways and they worked out a deal to move up. Could it be that they also feel it would help if they wanted to move up, of course. Does it mean it's why they made the move, not at all. They have never said they were collecting picks to go all out for a QB, or that they were even looking at finding a franchise guy in the 1st and would do whatever it takes to get one. That's all fan and media speculation. They know they need a guy, but for all we know they like AJ enough for him to be the potential franchise guy. It's the same as the Jets move up, everyone assumes it's for a QB, yet they just signed 2 guys and have 2 already.
  22. How bad are things when someone on video doing something isn't enough evidence for charges? I'm not saying he should have conserve jail time for it, but to drop all charges sounds weird? It's like the legal equivelant of Day Jones was handling the case......
  23. Well at least Peterman is more efficient then those guys, it only took him half the time to get to that many picks! There's also a big difference in that Peterman was a 5th rounder who's ceiling according to some scouting reports was as a backup, compared to those guys you listed who's ceilings were much higher.......
  24. Well he did damage property and that's probably the only charge they could lay at the time, unless it's illegal to be under the influence on private property? If they didn't find actual drugs in his possession at the scene I don't think there's anything else to charge him for, especially if his brother or others in attendance don't want to lay assault charges....
  25. I think that mental health is becoming the biggest scapegoat for everything today. Anything bad happens, its a mental health issue. It can explain anything today. Maybe he just took some drugs and had a bad reaction to them. Doesn't mean he has some type of mental health issue unless you feel anyone who takes drugs or drinks for whatever issue has mental health issues. This is like kids today, don't want to do something or act up or won't pay attention? It's AD/HD It doesn't appear like Day has had any issues in the past with drugs or anything, might just have been a something stupid and bad reaction to some drugs
