  1. Ah yes, good old "he was young and we all did stupid things as kids" excuse Of course it will be a big deal cause he is about to be put into the spotlights a high draft pick into the NFL. With fame comes people digging into your past to bring you down. Hopefully he has grown and realised it was a dumb comment to make and learns from it that it doesn't matter if you delete it, things posted on line can always be found. Its possible that an NFL team leaked it, but chances are it was some good old internet trolls releasing it to do some damage like usual... I agree, it's fair cause he said it publically. Its foolish to automatically toss him away because of it without knowing if he has matured and grown since then. Why? So the Giants, Browns, Broncos or whomever the Bill's trade up to can get a steal later on?
  2. Does McCarron have pull with the front office yet? He might be the one releasing the other tweets to keep him off the Bill's lol
  3. CK knelt during the anthem a few times and a few players followed and joined him. It got attention in the media and then the president chimed in with his tweets accusing him of disrespecting the country, military and flag which poured gasoline on a bonfire that's leading to burning an entire forest down. Had the president not chimed in to rule up his fanbase, this all would have blown over
  4. It's all a smokescreen, no one ever says anything truthful at this time (unless it's something the like or want to hear) Jackson says he hasn't spoken to the Bill's, it means he spoke with them every day and theres a contract already in place to be signed, unless Jackson isn't your choice then he hasn't spoken with them and is eliminated from potentially being drafted by them......
  5. Actually, you dont support free speech 100% because your are now putting limitations on when and where it's acceptable. CK didn't break any laws or even any league rules when he chose to kneel for the anthem. He had his reasons and it was only a problem when the point was twisted by the public and a certain person on Twitter who took it to mean something else. If people have a problem with CK using his position as a QB in the NFL to support a cause, no player should be allowed to. Players supporting local food bank, or underprivelaged kids, or hospitals, or illnesses shouldn't be allowed either then. They shouldn't be allowed to mention or thank god/jesus in interviews. They should just shut their mouths and play their sport. Then everyone can stay happy cause nothing would change and everything would stay the same...... It's all about free speech until someone says something you dont like. Some may see what he is doing as respecting his country more because instead of just sitting back and accepting it, he is doing something to try and make it a better place for all Americans, not just the white ones. And maybe the problem is (if you believe he is disrespecting the flag) that the country the flag represents is not respecting him and others that are a part of it by not treating them as equals?
  6. There will be a melt down of biblical proportions here after the draft that I cant wait for. The tantrums and foot stomping for grown adults acting like toddlers because their favorite sports team didn't make a move they believed they should make or because some other team made a move that they assumed the Bill's would have done so therefore the Bill's didn't try. It's going to be amazing and definitely going to have to have a few bowls of popcorn ready to go..... "I can't believe the Bill's draft "X"" "The Bill's gave up way to much to move up for 'X', my mock drafts had him at 'y' and the other team would have taken less" "How could that team move up and the Bill's stayed put? McBeane asleep!" All of those and more, almost all followed by the classic "I'm so done with this team!"
  7. Technically, your still assuming a lot with what you said. They did trade away players not in their plans for picks, but no one said they are being used to obtain a QB, they are trying to rebuild an entire team. They are also making moves giving them cap space, but again, nothing is guaranteed that it's being used for offensive weapons. So far they haven't spent on the offence and are using cap space for the defence. And they got rid of a QB that no one thought of as being a good starter for way more then anyone thought they could get. Then they signed a younger QB who is thought to have potential to be a starter. They are definitely going to get another qb, but I wouldn't be shocked if they arent making every move just to get to the top of the draft for a QB
  8. Better get on the phone and inform the media, they have so little time to discuss the possibilities and options at QB. I was getting so sick of hearing all the arguements about which TE was the best one in the draft and what might need to be traded to get into the top spot to get them....
  9. Was there a difference for you?
  10. It all depends on how the Browns front office ranks the QBs this year. If they feel there are 3-4 guys that are equal in being able to be their franchise QB, they dont have to grab one with their first. If they feel that Barkley (or Chubb) are the best at their position in the draft and much better then the next guy, take them first and get your QB 4th. They can only do this because they are in a situation that doesn't come around often having 2 picks in the top 4th. It's not like they have their first and the Bill's 12th or 22nd and people are saying to take a non QB and then whatever qb with their next pick. If they have no preference between the top 3-4 QBs, it's a smart move. These QBs are being overhyped because demand is high this year from teams looking for one. It appears this class is more quantity over quality so everyone thinks this is some amazing class that contains the next Manning/Luck/Brees when it's a good chance it is a year where most are the next Marriotta/Winston/Trubisky. Serviceable starters, but not exactly elite talent that will turn a franchise around on their own or someone you would be willing to give up a 1/3 to 1/2 of your draft for.
  11. You do realize they have a boat load of picks already. They need quality, not quantity. It's not as bad of a move as most people think cause if they were to do it, they walk away from the draft with the top player and either the 2nd or 3rd chosen QB in the draft. And according to most here, this is the greatest QB draft in modern history. A great RB will give you more then 5 good years. How many years has McCoy been in the league? How many years was Peterson leading the league in rushing? An average RB can give you 5+ years of good play. How many QBs outside of the Elite ones give you 15 years as a good starter?
  12. Because they are too busy calling to convince people to keep it! Higher 1k + employees for the outbound call centre, and 2 employees for inbound..............
  13. It all depends on the deal the car company has with them. I believe my Nissan and my wife Hyundai were only 3 months. I think I heard GM is a year and some others 6 months
  14. Nah, if that happened the league would step in and immediately give the Pat's 2 comp picks for this years draft, both at the beginning of the first round.....
  15. Yeah, I was even told at the dealer not to just renew it, but to wait til they call you about renewing and tell them your not sure and would need to think about it. Play it out a bit and you will get it much cheaper
  16. Outside of their own fans, these are not really games (at this time) that would be ratings draws for the rest of the league. NYC is a huge market, but the Jets are the second team in that market playing a team from Detroit. Bears might be a draw but theres no rivalry between Seattle and Chicago and don't see casual fans or fans of other teams looking forward to watching that game Pittsburgh is also a big market/team, but like the Bears/Seahawks, theres no rivalry between them or reason casual/other team fan would want to tune into that one
  17. A few weeks ago was the first time I tried using my phone for the tickets to get in at a couple OHL hockey games and I had a few problems cause it either wasn't zoomed in enough, or the old guy taking tickets complained the screen wasnt bright enough one time
  18. If Luck is healthy it could be, and remember when the owner said the rivallry is back on cause they were screwed over (or helped out) by their HC choice going back to NE? But Broncos vs Cards? Dolphins vs Texans? The NFL appears to be looking to kill any ratings for MNF this year Jets vs Lions? Seahawks vs Bears? Steelers vs Bucs?
  19. They sucked on MNF too. Outside of 1pm games, they usually weren't at their best...... Funny thing is, until the season gets going and they are close to the actual game, you never know what your going to get For all we know, Jax/Tenn this year could end up being one of the better games
  20. I think some do, but I believe they are coached by their agents on how to do it and the agents do most of the dirty work. You don't want to turn down interviews cause it won't look good on you, and you don't want it to be known that you don't want to go somewhere, but I'm sure these guys aren't trying their best to get teams to draft them that they don't want to go to. I also don't think that teams share their assessments and information around the league or with the media. If the Bills heard that the jets didn't have a good feeling about someone because of their pre-draft interview, will the Bills shy away from them or interview the player themselves to see first hand? Smoke screen! Bills are taking Jackson, guaranteed!!!! Remember, during this time its always the opposite!
  21. Wait, so thats not possible? What am I supposed to do with all this helium now?
  22. Theres a difference between jokes and most of the comments made on message boards or comments sections on the internet I dont have a problem with jokes and most of the time i may be the one making one in possibly inappropriate situations.
  23. It's true, I dont know, but I believe the internet will be the downfall of humanity. Read the comments after any story and it always includes someone making some horrible comments
  24. It's hard to actually say because many players careers span over different decades. Also sports seem to always be changing and evolving. What was once considered dominant in a certain sport may now be considered pedestrian. There also weren't as many really good players compared to now. You had usually a dominant player or 2 and then a bunch of mid level guys.
  25. To be fair, i dont think anyone would have cared much if it was just her in a dress that showed them off, the issue people are having with it is that it was during an event/party for her teenage son. It's mostly that there can be a time and place to flaunt and show off, at something for your teenage son is one where people expect you to not do that. But really, who cares and why is it news, except that it's a chance to get extra clicks by showing pictures most guys are going to click on and get traffic to your site
