  1. Probably need to give them both 1sts, 2nds, and 3rds. Everyone knows Buffalo is desperate now to get someone that's capable in starting next season right away. I thinking more likely we hear they have a deal in place in a trade for a starting QB over one in place for a draft spot.
  2. Not a bad move for them, let a guy who at one point was supposed to be in the running to go 1st overall IIRC come in and learn from watching A Rogers....
  3. I think this is to free up space and not have to move up. Get cap space to sign one of the FAs then see what falls to them. If not this could be a bad move cause all the teams interested in dealing with them know the Bills are desperate with a barely NFL capable QB on the roster and no more veteran bridge QB.
  4. Feel bad for him. He wasnt bad enough to deaerve the browns...
  5. You dont get it, this is completely different, the NFL and sports are a billion dollar business and therefore must do things that break the law so they can protect their money in case some player ever is asked a personal question and flips out which would just destroy the league entirely..... Because the players are always asked questions about their personal live daily by reporters. Don't you get sick of home many times ESPN reporters ask Tom Brady about his sexuality...
  6. You know those sports journalists from ESPN and Sports Illustrated, always asking if your moms a whore or if your fantasizing about your teammates in the shower..... Unless it's part of some story being written about your personal life or past, I can't recall athletes being asked questions outside of things happening on the field or sport related.
  7. You can tell who the straight white males are by the responses. The ones that haven't had to face actual discrimination before because of something. They are typically the ones saying it wouldn't bother them, they would just laugh it off or move along. "Why can't you ask it to see if it rattles someone?" It's a bit different when your a person who happens to be Gay, or Black, or something else that may have been descrimnated upon in the past. It's not so easy to just laugh it off and take no offence when you have never lived it. It's also why people are taking more of a stand over things like this. Because if the NFL just accepts it and let's it go on, its saying it's still acceptable to do it because you may have had a reason for asking it (to gauge a reaction)
  8. These interviews are job interviews for the players and teams. The entire point of them is for the teams to get to sit down and talk to players they feel they might be interested in employing. It's just like any other job out there, the potential employer brings you in and asks you questions to determine if they want to employ you. The only difference is they get chosen/hired through a draft instead of the employer making them an offer. It's great for him that he is just brushing it off. Still doesn't make it acceptable or better. He may just be saying that because he doesn't want it to ruin any chances with his future career right now. He like everyone else has watched what happens when you stand up (or kneel) for a cause or belief, imagine what would happen if he stood up and complained about being wronged in this situation. This is also why Hollywood is such a mess right now after years of people just sitting back and accepting things as they are even though they were wronged.
  9. And Athletes are a higher class of human beings, everything they do is different then the rest of us simpletons, therefore nothing is comparable or applies to them like it does everyone else. Are they getting paid more? Yes Is there a chance they get more attention and fame from their job? more likely None of this means that the laws or rules don't apply to them or that teams or employers can treat them any different. Rules are rules when it comes to employment and discrimination. Asking questions about religious and political beliefs, sexual orientation, or other highly personal information is not permitted anywhere. Even after they higher the person it's still not acceptable. They can ask what do you enjoy doing in your spare time, or interests, etc. But that's about it. This isnt the 50s anymore
  10. Henry Winkler? His nephew Ciaci was.........
  11. This is a great way to compete......... with the Browns
  12. Maybe then they can finally take the time to let us all know the details on who his famous grandfather is? as for Bennett, his brother gets traded the same day he is released by the Pats..... Do the Eagles need a TE?
  13. True, but they have to be willing to make the deal also. Slot of the teams with the cap space are in full rebuild and may prefer to use the cap on younger players then on older vets. Those teams also have to feel that player fits in with what they want to do and how they play And some of them are just poorly run
  14. It's the cap, teams get tied up and they are forced to deal good players and take what they can get for cap space.
  15. Unless the Giants want him and aren't willing to trade out of 2. If the Browns feel that there are more the at least 2 franchise QBs in the draft, waiting til 4th to take one is a much smarter move, even if it means that at worst the QB is the 3rd one on the board. Walking out of the draft with the top player and a franchise QB is much better then walking away with your top rated QB and something else. If they don't think there's 3 QBs capable of being franchise Qbs then it's debatable on what way to go....
  16. It's actually a smart move if you think there are 3-4 "franchise qbs" in this draft cause you end up with the best player in the draft and a franchise QB to go with him. Otherwise you still get a franchise QB who is your top choice of qb and someone else that's not the best player in the draft
  17. What about the Vikings defence before that? Another group of scrubs? Bills fans have been kicking and screaming for someone who can come in and put up points against them, someone does just that and could be an option but now they don't want to use up resources or will talk down about the Pats defence. Brady in his prime could be available and fans here would be arguing against signing him....
  18. To be fair, there's a good chance Rex would have also been able to get him since he is a former Jet and Rex loved them The Bills have been making some moves jumping on the pre FA signings
  19. If the browns dont take Barkley 1st, they wont get him 4th. If they take him 1st theres still a very good chance they are able to get one of the top QBs in the draft at 4 and get one of the best RBs to go with him. Seems like a smarter move for them since they need a lot of talent for that team
  20. Does he get accused of sexually assaulting someone first though? I think we are getting to a point where you can count on both hands the number of celebrities who haven't been accused of something
  21. Sure, except that option #2 isnt realistic. There's no way anyone in the top 4 is dropping down to the bottom 3rd in the draft unless they are getting a while lot more then what was listed above. Most likely gonna have to throw in a few more late picks and next year's 1st also. Especially with the QB demand out there now and the supposed greatness of the top QBs this year.
  22. You draft him as a backup in case Foles doesn't work. If both work out, then you have a trade chip later on.
  23. That would be a good plan. Get Foles and draft someone like Jackson without having to move up much, if it all at 21 and 22.
  24. So does this mean now that all the Olympics and Oscars/awards crap is done tv will go back to normal and no more repeats?
  25. Will this get the Sabres and Bills another FA though? Terry did say he would just drill another well......
