  1. if we can do a nice trade down we will stack up our picks and just take all kids of guys. i think this is gonna be one of our best drafts.
  2. we'd put him at rg for at least one season then maybe move him to RT if we need too. i think we are gonna trade out of 11 and get paid handsomely for it.
  3. you know, with all the very highly rated OL in this draft, if there is a run on the top guys early (i meam mcfadden, ryan, all the D guys) then our pick could get us a ton. remember when walker was so coveted we got clements and henry and spoon with that pick? i think if otoh or albert are there (even clady maybe, especially of the others are gone) we might have a shot to trade down to KC at 17 and get mad picks (like a 2nd and 3rd!!, maybe more) for our troubles. if the run then happens on the OL, then harvey, merling, the dbs will all go and we might still get the best wr (thomas) at 17. that would be just an outstanding draft.
  4. NO THIS IS TO THE DEATH!!!!!111 sure, lol.
  5. anyone of those guys can back up just as well as jp can. they are all not starters, but neither is jp. a draft pick and one of them >>>>>>>> JP his value to us is as a back up, IF trent gets hurt. he's not a starter, he's not a future prospect, he's a benchwarmer.
  6. BUT LOSMAN MIGHT BE THE GREATEST EVER, HE HASN'T HAD A CHANCE YET, WE'LL NEVER KNOW!!! i think any of the 1st round busts (carr, harrington, leftwich) are interhchagable and better than our first round bust qb. culpepper too, although he isn't really a bust as he had some good seasons.
  7. sure, they need to get value, but i don't think the value is that high. they might do it for a 4th, fo sho for a 3rd imo
  8. HIGH FIVE BRO!! i see a lot of moulds in him too. i think we need an injection of physical wr, and MSU has 100CCs of devin thomas ready and loaded!
  9. nonsense you silly tit! if we are willing to trade jp, does that tell you the FO thinks they have a guy who can relace him as a back up or not? clearly, it does.
  10. i dunno who (nall?) but i think they are offering jp for a trade which means they aren't affraid of losing him. thus, they have some other guys targetted. JUST CUZ THEY HAVEN'T TOLD US WHO IT IS DOESN'T MEAN HE DOESN'T EXIST!!
  11. of course it comes down to value -- i'm fairly certain our FO can sign someone as a back up they like as much as losman. and i was agreeing with c bisc and then making a joke about the posters here who think jp is somehow a good player and not worth losing for less than a high #2. basically he is worth more than lito sheppard or marcus stroud, which is INSANE, those guys are probowlers, jp has lost his job 3 times.
  12. i think we'll add some key talent to the O, but yeah we are clearly loading up on D. we now have a high 1st in our secondary, a high second in our LB core along w two solid (and in crow's case very good) vets, and went out and signed a real stud DT and a guy who i think is gonna be great for us (spencer). along w that we have our pro bowl DE, and a fairly decent rotation. if we add a 1st or 2nd rounder to our D I think it will be pretty friggen good. i expect us to be in the top 10 in sacks and to really frustrate opposing teams and grab a bunch of picks. if we go trade down, wr, corner, q groves, te, oc, etc. then we will have some big time firepower on D. ME LIKEY!!
  13. subsidies stamp out innovation and competition, and drive prices up. with higher education you also get a nice diluted lower standard!! all you have to do is see how hard it is to gain employment, get ahead, or buy stuff in europe. very expensive with low wages and tons of unemployment and poverty.
  14. WE'LL NEVER KNOW, HE HAS SO MUCH UPSIDE, HE HAD SOME GOOD GAMES IN 06, NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO. lol 4 real, i REALLY want him to be on kc or some such team and play us. aaron (who gets lambasted around here) would be able to get revenge for all the good games our D played while JP just laid eggs out there.
  15. i really think this draft has a chance to shake out awesome for us. if there starts to be a run on the OTs but a couple are left after the first 10, we might get the world beating down our door for Albert, otoh, or clady. if we can get a 15-25 pick and a few extra ones (we can just milk whoever we trade with in this case, like a 2nd and 3rd to exchange 1sts) we can nab a wr, groves, and a cb in the first 2 rounds, then go te and OC/OG there after. 2 day one starters and one big contributer. NOICE
  16. lol cereal dude, i wish the guy on this board were a gm FOR AN OTHER TEAM. they'd trade the whole draft for jp NO DON'T TRADE JP, HE'S ONLY BEEN IN THE LEAGUE 4 YEARS, HE WAS HURT FOR HIS FIRST YEAR. OH POOR JP, HE'S THE GREATEST EVER BUT WAS JERKED AROUND BY OUR BAD BAD BAD TEAM. HE LOST HIS JOB BUT IT WASN'T HIS FAULT. HE'S JUST A ROOKIE, WE DON'T KNOW IF HE'S GOOD YET. HE'LL BE BRETT FAVRE ON ANOTHER TEAM, NOOOOO DON'T TRADE HIM NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!
  17. just when i think i might have a problem, be too into the whole thing, i see this. you make me feel less shame and, indeed, pride for my fandom. you have enabled (who says that's a bad word) me to really go all out in persuit of my "destructive" hobbies. i salute you sir.
  18. RIVERS ZERO SACKS WILL HELP OUR PASS RUSH!!! AND DON'T FORGET CORNERS DON'T DO ANYTHING TO HELP THE PASS D!!
  19. i agree. if we get shep (and are ok with the contract) and a 3rd along w 19 overall i think that is solid. if we end up w thomas at that pick then that's a friggen great day
  20. he polls horribly in florida and ohio. he is popular with the accdemic big city set, and young people on the coasts and usualy blue states. it all comes down to florida and ohio for the presidency. obama cannot beat mccain there. that's my lock pick!
  21. i think obama will win the nom. i also think he is virtually unelectable in a national election against mccain. it all comes down to ohio and florida, and obama will get destroyed there. i've got my money on mccain, and i think he'll walk away with it.
  22. crow is a friggen good LB. lito is a better corner than nate, nate is a sick playmaker and great hitter, but lito is a more steady more fundamentally sound guy, who also has pick off and run back ability. lito on moss with donte over the top, moss breaks in for the pass and BOOM -- moss get's lazy and short armed. we would also have 4 guys in our base D that could drop back and cover the top 2 WRs on most any teams for like 4 or 5 seconds. that means sacks and turnovers.
  23. he's 6'2" and about 220, but he's very buff and physical. that kind of physical play is what we need IMO. remember how softy price would be open all day when moulds was tearing it up? imagine evans with that kind of space, he'd make it like playing against 6 in the box, since the safties would have to scramble back all the time.
  24. i'd love this trade more than my own children (hungry little idiots that they are). i would like a 4th as well. with the 17 we can get thomas, then in the second get q groves, then TE, then OG/C etc. our D would be redunk
