+1 zona's line was good enough to be a great O w no running game. we are more balanced than that. if we add henderson and a pass rusher to our d, and a te and 2 blockers to our o, we might have enough to be real players. top 5 d, top special teams, and an o that is balanced and can score in the redzone is enough to win.

i've been overly critical of poz because i have high hopes for him, but the guy is far from a question mark. he's a pretty friggen good mlb given how many games he's played in.

How many good players will we lose?
colin replied to apulshunny's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
if we get waters/henderson or both then we have added 1 or two quality big men while losing one in peters. the sack numbers for peters are overdone, he is a sick talent who dominates... SOMETIMES. the problem i think is he isn't committed to football/the bills like he needs to be for that kind of scratch. i think we will be able to get good LT play from chambers/bell/walker/some FA. i think we might get a good RT prospect in the 2nd or 3rd and move walker over and not miss a beat. -
An Interesting Note on the Peters Trade:
colin replied to lets_go_bills's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
could they be swapping parrish and a 4th to land us a TE and a G/DT? shefler, waters, and henderson are all reported to be on the block. if we trade our 4th, our 4th from philly, and parrish for those 3 players i think you can say we are a better team. i'm thinking we might also be able to trade down some from the 11th pick for someone chasing a qb and pick up another 2nd and 3rd to lose only a few spots. that could get us some serious talent. -
Sources: Peters to Eagles for three picks
colin replied to TimGraham's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
i think a huge part in this is how out of shape peters was last season, and how he got a little dinged so he took the last couple of games off. a big fat soft me first prima donna is not worth that much money in the FO's eyes, they prolly figure they can get an impact player at pick 28 and just sign someone to be as productive as peters was last year. -
what did your crystal ball say about jp losman? you're special.

Who hopes that Jason Peters gets cracked this year?
colin replied to Tipster19's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
i hope he sucks, gets a little dinged and takes off a few games just like he did for us last year. i also hope he makes the probowl in spite of all of this and maxes out our draft pick. then he can die in a fire while having homosexual relations with tom brady and bill billecheat. -
he was dominating on many plays, but the oline is not the dline. consistency and crafty play beats awesome performances with fck ups inbetween. i remember the sack where joey porter just whipped jason peters and got trent in a blink of an eye for a safety in miami. wtf was that sht? his ball washers were saying it was because he was out of shape, like that's a good thing for a pro athlete who wants mega bucks?

the iggles have had good o lines, but qb play and sick D has been what got them over the hump more times than not. mcnabb has been hit and hurt plenty of times, and only with TO were they ever at the top of the heap. look at the LTs of the final 8 teams. i think in an attempt to appreciate the o line we have completly over rated the LTs impact to a team.

Could the 3-4 defenses make Aaron Curry slide in the draft?
colin replied to Tipster19's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
curry is a complete linebacker and a tackling machine. if he plays like urlacher or lewis he is worth his draft status big time. i agree w most ppl that we need pass rush terribly, but if he is there at 8 and we can flip a 2nd and get him, i really wonder if that isn't just too good of a thing to pass up. all those slants that kill us might end up resulting in an eplosive hit in the flat followed by a ball hitting the ground. -
i like this kid, but i like maybin too. i think sackpo looks good, but i worry he isn't sudden enough. to me it comes down to who is going to be the most awesome pass rusher, maybin or brown. maybin is jayson taylor jr, brown is freeney jr. i remember when freeney was said to be a 10-15 pick reach around pick 11, and he just came out and caused a mess to start with.

he is lazy and has shown no desire to improve in his nfl career. worst qb to ever get 30+ starts. -

if he just returns punts he might be worth his cash. if he can become a slot guy getting the ball 3 times a game as a WR/RB he would be great for us. still, can we do that with him? would we trade a pick from him for the TE from denver? i think a TE getting 60+ balls would be worth more, but without that i think parrish is great. add a pass rush and we might get an extra 1 to 2 returnable punts a game with a better D. parrish will break at least 5 of those extra 30 or so punts, maybe not all for scores, but at least for good field position. -
it's my fault. i gave you way way too much credit, assuming you could apply thought and simple logic. i'm sorry, i've done a horrible thing. you don't even know the difference between your and you're, or they're and their. it's sad and i've been mean to you. how many times in your life have you typed "your ignorant"? you have to crawl before you can man up to a slow stroll and understand the very simple things i've put in front of you. i'm sorry for hurting you little boy. tell you mom i'll be by later with the cop uniform to swing the baton.

you are aware that in some cities the desire to find police recruits outstrips those willing to do the job so they actually do have new cops who have criminal histories, correct? http://www.policeone.com/legal/articles/17...r-new-recruits/ this is happening in a large number of american cities. police are unionized civil servants and have a bunker mentality against anyone trying to discipline them or regulate their behavior. cops may join with the best of intentions, but years of dealing with societies run off will bring out the worst in most people.
-
i am far from ignorant. to explain simple logic and the english language to you: i didn't say one has to have a degree from a good school or make a large amount of money to be smart, but CLEARLY given a large group of people in a profession (like say police work) not attracting top graduates from top schools or paying high salaries will result in not employing the best qualified and ambitious people in large numbers. if you offer people a bad wage for hard work dealing with the bottom of society you will eliminate the vast majority of good candidates. you just can't get over your homoerotic hero worship of men in uniform. cops are just people who have a particular job. so are soldiers. they aren't righteous or better than anyone just because they do a job that (when done right) is an important part of civil society, and they are likely to succumb to all the usual sins and temptations, and those are particularly likely to affect police who have to make difficult decisions in high risk situations. these people are simply not the best and brightest. we live in a capitalist society and money and status count in a very very big way. and no sht more people than not do bad work, most people are below average and don't put the effort in, or have the acumen to succeed. just look at how fat uneducated and lazy the average person around you is. if you have people that can't learn a foreign language or even speak their native one correctly, do you really think they will succeed in high pressure situations and not cut corners and skimp on due diligence?
-
99.9%? that's total pollyanna bull sh--. police work is thankless, low paying, and not very selective. you don't get graduates from top schools becoming cops. you don't get the best and brightest doing it. it doesn't pay much. it is shtty shtty work. as a cop you have to enforce plenty of stupid laws that exist as a cash grab (traffic tickets, parking crap) and victimless crimes (drugs, alcohol, prostitution). do you really think that 99.9% of people who have that job are just saints? that's the only people who would do it without wanting to go on power trips, be crooked, or are action junkies. further more do you think that after a few years rolling in the much of the underclass of society a cop won't get jaded and angry? sure there are good cops, but cops are selected from an above average or elite cut of society, and they don't exactly associate with the best and the brightest, so why do so many people assume that cops are better than average?
-
if he didn't hit anyone and got tasered i wouldn't be shocked if the clevland cops got sued.
-
never even talk to cops. citizens in the usa have rights, and not talking to cops would stop many arrests and almost all convictions.

i love scoe, but if we get a pick that we can swap for the TE from denver, well that makes us a much more balanced team right now. we have 2 other sick return men, and you will notice that now only our slot back (reed) and our super deep threat (evans) are small without him. our two young guys and TO are big giant WRs, that's a better fit for our O. -

1billsfan, if i knew you in real life, and i had a horrible penis canker, i would tell every single person i know, and meet, that i have the penis canker, but would never reveal that i knew you. that's how terrible your posts are. your horrible losman ball washing, combined with your seriously learning disabled understanding of the game, it's nuances, and yes life in general. i'm going to stretch my hamstring so i can kick myself in my own face. that will hurt less than what you do.

because offensive production doesn't count? you are becoming a cartoon character bill, you think any o lineman with talent is worth his weight in uranium, even if he is lazy, hurt, and an expensive malcontent. your boi peters was at least as bad against miami as gandy was against pittz, and a call or two differently gets zona the bowl. left tackles are not as important as you think they are.
-
some of you guys make me laugh. there have been plenty of big time expensive big men that had all the talent in the world, and never amounted to jack. peters sucked the bag against miami, he was one on one vs porter and got SMOKED to allow a safety. you guys (bill in nyc) are all over gandy for getting beat in the super bowl vs the number 1 d in the nfl (while still throwing for over 400 yards) but think peters is good enough while getting trashed in our own division? he's not consistent enough to get #1 lineman in the nfl money. i'd like to keep him, but it isn't like he's made us a top 20 even offense.
