  1. Ya, josh is amped. I think position was bad, spreading guys out will help
  2. I'm so flipped jittery and amped and everything. Goooooo billlllsssss!!!!
  3. we had just about the worst first half possible on O vs pittz. there was an adjustment made prior to the half tho, where we scored a fg. schematically there was a difference in how the interior line was blocking, and it worked. ever since that game the bills o line has simply been better, including closing out games running the ball in pretty dominant fashion, and against above average to very good Ds. This isn't just some jonny come lately wrinkle to be figured out either, this is the entire 4th quarter of the nfl season, save most of the first half vs pittz. vs two teams that needed wins for playoff entry or playoff positioning, and two teams that at least have good Ds and were playing for pride. i know this discussion focuses on the pitt game, but to me the playoffs comes down to the indy game. if the bills can weather any early storm and ride positive mo and play with the confidence they have had, it is going to take an honestly better team having a great day to beat us. this kinda reminds me of the 08 giants SB victory. they lost late in the year to NE, but they had so so much confidence and played so loose that it always seemed like they were the ones in control, not their opponent. they beat TR lead dallas, and favre in green bay en route to stealing away the pats perfect season.
  4. exactly, pass pro and being where he is supposed to be on the odd screen pass is much more important for us than his power running at this point.
  5. you can check my old posts, i've been calling him FavrElway since day 1
  6. we need to not get gashed in the run game, and particularly not consistently lose the rock paper scissors of paying run when they are passing and playing pass when they are running. on the other side of the ball, we need to avoid bad turnovers (like down the field ints won't kill us as much) and handle the pass rush. given how both teams have played for the passed 10 games, i fully expect our D to have maybe 1 or 2 lay down drives and otherwise really frustrate them, and on the other side im going in expecting to score on every drive. we won't score on some, but it will honestly be a surprise for me when it happens.
  7. i figure at the least he can be a stand in for Hill during practice so they can figure out how to slow insane speed
  8. Bills got out coached there. Bad tackling obviously, but the pats knew exactly where to run the ball. Gotta make some plays
  9. And ya, knox is just a great athlete who is bad at football. Straight up doesn't look the ball in. Not a pass catcher
  10. Moss runs with his center of gravity in his ankles
  11. in terms of his quality of play right now, i agree, but the pro bowl is number one a stats thing, and as a safety who doesn't have a ton of picks or sacks (not that i think that's the be all and end all) on a D with meh stats, it's just how it is.
  12. he was a decent journey man QB. he did fold hard in that one game, but TBH they pulled him out of retirement for another season. he never really wanted to play for us. BJA (before josh allen) we had a string of just horrible horrible QB play. to put it in perspective, chicago is ground zero for bad qb play (won one w a meh qb, lost to manning w what might have been the worst qb to go to a super bowl ever, rex grossman) and we got orton AFTER another team from when chicago dumped him. and he was the best QB on our roster by a decent shot. remember when kelly holcomb was an upgrade at qb? shocking shocking stuff.
  13. i always thought haskins was a stud when he was coming up at OSU. then i saw him at the combine, he frankly looked flabby for a young soon to be pro athlete. i get the impression he just isn't a work out warrior or a hard working guy. drew bledsoe was born with near maximum qb talent (except he just couldn't run) and he was a student of the game coming into the NFL, but after a few years in he coasted a bit. Brady was the film rat and gym rat even though he was less talented than Drew, and based on brady's dedication to the game corch bill made him the man and traded away drew. if bledsoe can be run out of town for not quite working as much as he should have, i imagine haskins is gonna be filling out UPS applications.
  14. I just read about diggs and the cart! Awful
  15. Lil worries about tre, is this AJs second noggin floggin? Could be a real problem
  16. knox is a stud athlete and everyone seems to love him, pretty sure he is allen's roommate and that's not a small thing. he is just athletic and talented enough to get open and not quite catch the ball. it's not like a case of dropsies or whatever, he is simply not a good pass catcher. blocking too, if he gets his mits on someone he can do some work, but he is fooled and out of position plenty. if we have a good post season run and he contributes, i think they give him plenty more opportunity next season to prove what he's got. if not, they bring someone in and i bet he can't compete.
  17. i think you kick it to the 5 yard line, make the return team block (chance of a hold, but im guessing the refs don't wanna call it) and play disciplined D
  18. the last 3 games he has balled out pretty hard. he's not perfect, and obviously he makes some mistakes, but in a 4-2 he's asked to be all over the place and does a bunch of things well (lately) but not much great. i really think the bills entire season is gonna come down to how we play KC in the playoffs. if edmunds can sniff out the run and cause some problems vs their all world TE, he's worth his weight in gold.
  19. it looks to me like both our RBs are playing for the job. i think after his rookie contract motor is gone, moss is gonna get more of the load, and i expect an RB to get drafted between rounds 3-7 next draft (likely later than earlier)
  20. Totally dude Was calling up trash and had ol problems. He flips the switch at half time (maybe even to finish the first half) and called some gems.
  21. What a game. Over 7 days we beat the two worst matchups we had imo. I sheet all over them a lot, so I gotta give props to the coaches, dabol pulled his head out and turned a disaster into gold, and after one let down drive on d, fraser had em extra nasty. At the end of the game, we had the best d in the nfl spent. They couldn't stop us from running even when josh slid early (kinda bad spot tho)
  22. First game in like two years where our coaches out adjusted the others, and it was a over the top, down the throat, beat that ass win. You love to see it
  23. Both o and d had huge let downs after a great stop by the d. Exactly like in the Seattle game. They really need to put the going into a shell ish to bed
