  1. Oh yeah, man. No complaints here. So much fun.
  2. Currently in the phase where our 6yr old and her activities are our main hobbies. So with that said, if anyone wants to swap Pokemon Go Friend codes, hit me up! 😆
  3. Sad, addiction sucks and he sure was fighting it. These "private doctors" that are nothing more than drug pushers tho...
  4. A DB from the early-00s lives in my parents neighborhood in Lancaster. I think it's Ken Irvin, might be Marlon Kerner, but Irvin sounds right.
  5. Anyone have a link to a site that shows all the teams rivalry unis in one easy place?
  6. Not a huge fan but like them better than the all-Reds. They look like UB to me...
  7. It was great TV when the 2012 Dolphins revolted against Philbin. Would be fun to watch it again this year.
  8. Yeah but they already stopped all that documentary stuff with the no cuts, no cameras in coaches' offices stuff. This is all fluff and marketing this year. They need to go back to the bad teams next year. Give me full access in the Raiders building. 😆 What other last place teams would make for good TV?
  9. Agreed. Good teams are just guys going to work and "doing their job". Nothing too entertaining as it is. WRT Davidson, maybe they (Beane) knew he was likely cut and wanted to talk him up so he catches on with another team? The Bills do a pretty good job at setting guys up to get work elsewhere.
  10. I think you're complaint would sound way more valid if the Bills sucked, and werent considered one of the top 3 teams in the league for over 5 years running and hadnt made 2 AFC Championship appearances in the McBeane tenure. I'm all for taking the next step to get to and win a Super Bowl, but it's tough to argue against bringing guys back when we've been so successful. It should also be noted that most of those guys we bring back were quickly scooped up by other teams and overpaid because of their time with the Bills. They may seem like broken down retreads (and some are), but to other teams they're valuable assets. What looks like trash to us is treasure to other teams because our standard is so high nowadays. I'm not counting on any of them to be All Pro, or even make the pro bowl. And Im on record saying we'll lose any and every game Poyer starts. But same could be said for almost any practice squad player around the league. It's not like they've passed on a number of better players that were available. These arent the drought years. We're not retreading Coy Wire Larry Tripplett.
  11. Thanks, I checked 3 articles before posting and not one mention of an injury, so I do appreciate the clarification. The rest of it stands.
  12. Look I hate the Chiefs as much as anyone, but lets be real here. No one was even injured in Rice's accident. It's illogical and unreasonable to say "almost killed people" or "damn near killed people". If that applies then you can say the same about every one of us who goes 1mph over the speed limit. It isnt up to the NFL to be judge, jury, and executioner on things that occur outside of football. They get to do it a little more because their business is based on public image/interest, and these players make a lot of money in a high profile position, but none of our employers would be able to punish any of us over a car accident either (not counting CDLs). They WOULD however punish/suspend/fire us if we were cheating within the business. PEDs, gambling, etc directly affect the NFL and their bottom line. Off-field stuff typically doesnt. It's that simple. Jurisdiction. The REAL courts already sentenced him to 30 days in jail, 5 years probation, and $1M in settlements. There is your justice.
  13. Haha, I've referenced those meetings here as well. Haley and Gregggg just circling Jackson like sharks in the water.
  14. Or theyre trying to expedite the 6 years it took Poyer and Hyde to figure it out into something like 3-4? We'd all love Bishop (and even Hancock) to be a cagey veteran running on instinct, but that's a borderline unreasonable ask. I do have higher hopes for Hancock tho, he seems to have a higher floor to learn from.
  15. Josh has 8-10 more years (hopefully), so that's our window.
  16. Because guys like Poyer and Phillips are known quantities, and they also know our system. It's a complete waste of a roster spot (even with 99 of them) to have them around, when you can instead have a young/new player to try out and see if someone pops. one more lottery ticket. If no one shows out, you cut them and bring back the vets that were given the bonus of having camp off and are fresh and ready to go (as practice squad players).
  17. Yes, a plus is having pro-bowlers at every position. But...
  18. If that's the case, I'd rather have Poyer than Forrest as he's proven to know McD's system.
  19. Poyer came to the Bills in his 5th NFL season, after being cut by the team that drafted him, and then not being able to crack the starting lineup of the 0-32 Browns. And then became All Pro around year 6-7. Some things take time.
  20. Disagree. This is very much like the classic "Patriot Way" of the 00s. Once your high-priced vet ages out, let him walk. And if he wants to come back a couple years later on the cheap as a role player, welcome him back. It used to be that guys were just waiting for their contract to expire so they could flee Buffalo and never look back. Now, we are the ones looking to move on, while the players beg to come back. I dont want Poyer actually playing a single down, but this signing is a + for the organization, not a negative.
  21. Yikes. I can justify and even appreciate bringing Phillips back. But Poyer is cooked. Maybe they're hoping he can be the experienced vet in the room as more a player/coach. If he sees the field, we're screwed. I'll put this in writing: we wont win a single game Poyer starts. Hopefully he'll never have to, but if we get there it wont be pretty.
  22. They really have us at about $9M under. The -$28M is based on all 82 contracts against the $279M cap. If you look one more column to the right, they have the "Active 53" total. That comes in at about $270M against the $279M cap.
  23. Right now the cap number is based on the top 51 contracts, and there are ~90 players on the team. At least a few guys with $1M contracts will get cut and we'll be right back under cap by a few mil when its all said and done. We wont have much room to do anything. But we'll be compliant.
