  1. releasing kelsay would be about the dumbest move this team has made since signing lankston walker to a big contract kelsay is your starting end and will have a career season facing constant single coverage. youre going to get above average production for below average cost (3.75m). you cant have superstars everywhere and kelsay will be the perfect compliment to three stud linemen and a star part time pass rusher (merriman) people who rag on kelsay now might as well just tatoo im with stupid on their forehead

  9. cancer cells would be proud to be referred to as randy mosses paaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaassssssssssssssssssssssssssssssss now t.o., i think hes broke and desperate and beaten up enough to behave. if they bring stevie back and cant find anything better i wouldnt mind him as wr2
  10. buddy nix pretty much said point blank that evans refused to do the kind of blocking/picking their offense requires so i seriously doubt they would sign him back even if he played for free
  11. easiest question ever top three most disappointing games in bills history 1. wide right 2. illegal lateral 3. choking to deep scrubs to lose playoff spot questions?
  12. ditching edwards for pornstachio should be worth four more wins right there

  14. cant help but lol people that dismiss seventh round picks every pick is valuable in the nfl. the draft used to be twelve rounds and back then you could say that anything after ten was of very dubious value, but a seventh then was still considered a decent chance of finding a contributor. still is, in fact moreso considering the expansion of practice and gameday rosters, and the historical increase in injuries that results in more churn although its obviously at a lower rate, seventh rounders routinely have nfl careers. its no coincidence that teams enter a mad scramble after the draft to get guys that werent picked, and we know those efforts are vital to at least filling out a teams depth so you know if they traded lee for a seventh yeah it would be a rip off but a fourth is still a nice quality pick for an aging low-tier wr1 who might end up getting cut from his new team next training camp. no doubt its unfair to base that solely on the seasons outcome, but independent of that it was fair albeit disappointing compensation when the deal was made i think a fourth sounds small when compared against a max of seven rounds because its viewed as mid-round. but really the importance of early fa rookie signings makes that sort of a free for all draft for contributors so a fourth in that context has a lot more perceived value
  15. he also said that you know youve got too close to brady when you can detect the distinct scent of vinegar and water
  16. the biggest boost to this defense will come from not having that suck arse george edwards calling the shots
  17. i hope youre right but consider this: this is his last chance at a payday. its all or nothing now. it would be extremely easy for him to figure well i might as well make the biggest stink of my career now cuz im gonna be playing somewhere next season and not possibly for less than the two mil i make now so i might as well swing for the fences which is exactly what i think is gonna happen. hope not, but you can see it coming
  18. well duh of course it doesnt become an issue until official functions open, how could it but mark my words, the minute freddie hears theres no extension planned hes gonna start sqawking. and the minute the otas begin it will be the center of the bills universe. they will go on for a while and try to work something out, but if freddie holds firm on a big raise then it wont take long before it starts to overwhelm everything the team does and THATS when they will need to do something RIGHT NOW
  19. haha aint a team nowhere nohow gonna give you a second/third for a 31yo back bills would be lucky LUCKY to get a seventh rounder for him. thats just reality. and its why hes gonna get released, cuz he will refuse to play here without a new deal, the bills wont want the distraction, and will essentially do him and themselves a favor by just letting him walk and choose his next team uh yeah there is this isnt madden. the other players on the team have emotions that affect their play and preparation. jackson is/was a leader on this team. if hes pissed and holding out the entire organization is in limbo. players will lose some of their attention, perhaps get irritated at the club themselves, divisions will be created in the lockerroom you either try to get a modest extension done or you release him just to avoid all that and move on. and one of those two things is definitely going to happen, with most likely it being the latter
  20. some of you guys just dont get it the bills wont release jackson because they want to. they will release him because freddie will make a stink, demand to be traded, nobody in the nfl will give the bills squat for a 31yo rb, and the bills will reluctantly release him to avoid the distraction and to let him get on with another team this will be EGG-ZAK-LEE the same situation as thomas jones. he was still under contract when he had a big season with the jets. he freaked out when they wouldnt extend him for mo money. the jets cut him. he goes to kc for the same dollars the jets offered. he was never the same EGG. ZAK. LEE. i get no joy in reporting this. well except the joy of being right in the face of all you doubters. a-gain. but this is gonna happen
  21. not surprisingly, what ive been predicting for over three months appears to be coming to fruition heres the deal: the bills are going to release fred jackson. thats been in the cards since even before spiller pretty much duplicated freds stats when he got the chance to be featured why fred will be released - its stupid to pay big bucks to a 31yo rb no matter how good he currently is. just go through the names in your mind and back after back after back hits the wall soon after 30. and when they do its a brick wall. shaun alexander is mvp and gets a big contract then cant get past the los. thomas jones leads the nfls best running attack then goes to kc where he cant outrun my grandma. its a cold reality that backs become almost useless soon after 30 because they have very little ability to adapt their game to a slowing body - you are either explosive as a rb or you arent, and if you arent youre worth no more than spot duty and catching a few balls - the rbs themselves never see it that way. they always think they can still be just as productive and when they have a great season they demand mo money. thomas jones forced his way out of ny and essentially got the same money in kc that the jets were offering. freddie is going to do the same thing, make a stink and force his release. and mark my words, he will never be the same back he was here last season. too bad he cant realize that and just finish his career here where he has his best chance to extend his prime production as long as he can, but its virtually assured he wont do that - spiller pretty much produced just as well as freddie did, is eight-ish years younger, and is going to have to get paid soon. theres only so many big contracts one team can pay. why would you give freddie those dollars when hes gonna start declining any time now and spiller has only upside for the next few years? answer is you dont freddie was great and hes a nice man. this situation is not fair to freddie. life in general is not fair and nfl life certainly is not fair. it is what it is. thanks freddie, and goodbye
  22. the nfl has created an environment where the better your qb is the less you need everywhere else, except perhaps oline to give him a little time. the cheaters have probably the best qb the game has seen in a while, as much as i hate to say it, who makes every reciever look like a star. they barely have a rb and their defense is one of the worse in the league but it doesnt matter personally i think thats ruining the game and id like to see them go back to allowing contact with the recievers down the field until the ball is thrown. but thatll never happen so for the forseeable future its going to be a ridiculously qb centric league
  23. personally i think its great. nothing more retarded than lunatics getting in fights over entertainment choices. wait i cant say retarded. nothing more gay than lunatics getting in fights over entertainment choices. wait i cant say gay. dammit fact is, im not at all homophobic or racist, i understand why homosexuals dont want you to use the word 'gay' to tease/taunt someone. but truth is words usually have many meanings depending on context. the word gay has come to mean lame and usually is used in that way without any reference to sexuality or offensiveness whatsoever. even the stronger word fag can be used without intending any moral judgment about sexual orientation. and besides, real homosexuals use that word all the freakin time. same thing with blacks and the ubiquitous 'nigga' - go to a rib joint in the hood and they use it a thousand times a minute to mean like five different things none of them offensive, but they dont want a white person to use it EVER, which is pretty fkd up when you really think about it personally i think people should be able to say anything they want and be exposed by their own words. but that also means that the reciever has to be much more patient and discerning about determining real intent. most people fly off the handle at anything they think is remotely possible to be sexist, racist, or homophobic even when its not. they feel that certain words in certain situations should be banned, which of course causes its own problems often times more damaging than using those words in the first place but when it comes to sports teams way too many people are crazy. sounds absurd for someone to get into a fight about who their favorite actor is, and yet thats exactly what happens thousands of times every single nfl sunday in american stadium parking lots and bars, not to mention at football/soccer events around the world every freakin day. somehow your favorite team becomes a substitute for tribal warfare - as stupid as that is its just a sad reality that has to be managed. thus i think its a great idea to ban all that stuff at those kinds of events because the risk of neanderthals getting all worked up and brawling is too great its just so ridiculous to have to talk about the risk of serious violence at a sports entertainment event, but there it is
