  1. ive spent a little time with joe d when i was a guest a couple times in the seneca suite. the guy acts like hes got some issues, he alternates between being friendly and funny and a surly self absorbed jerk. kind of unnerving to be honest. i dont know his real personality, after all i was around him probably a total of two hours, which isnt much of a sample, but he doesnt always do himself favors with his own behavior
  2. i dont buy the story that fairly eluded the police. how could he have avoided anybody with those knees
  3. the op is a perfect example of my 'star or suck' observation some fans have only two grades for players: star or suck youre either bruce smith or aaron maybin, there is no chris kelsay youre either henry jones or coy wire, there is no donte whitner youre either nate odomes or chris williams, there is no thomas smith youre either thurman thomas or shaud williams, there is no antowain smith youre either jim kelly or gary marangi, there is no ryan fitzpatrick when you do that crap youre just invalidating every argument you make about quality of players. every pick cant be a hofer, youve got to have average guys all over your roster. an average nfl starter is still a pretty damn impressive achievement and provides value. you have to evaluate their draft position AND their cap hit AND their production to even begin to determine value to the organization, or the efficacy of management. if you dont do that youre just exposing yourself as wasting everybodys time. but that wont stop you, will it
  4. why should i listen to a guy who cant even spell his own name
  5. yeah im not even so sure about that i never wanted thigpen here but lets look at this rationally in his only season as *the* starter (kc 2008, 14 g, 11 starts) he had 18/12 td/int, 55% compl%, 2600 yds, 2 fumbles lost, and 26 sacks. painfully pedestrian but not at all 'bad' and most importantly fewer turnovers than tds (very key) and a relatively modest number of sacks for his exp level that was his second season and was playing for chan as oc. you would think most likely he has progressed far beyond that simply from mental nfl reps alone. but even at that production he would be a reasonably serviceable stopgap for a few games until fitz returned from an injury. granted he looked like lukewarm vomit last preseason but thats really not relevant at all compared to actual season stats in terms of reliability lets put it this way, you could do a whole hell of a lot worse - as in vince young for philly last season. in just three starts vy combined for 8 picks and just four passing tds. which incidentally was his best passing td rate for any season he has started games but still was dwarfed by a downright ugly number of picks for a team apparently built for his skill set if you start getting that kind of play in the middle of the season when the bills are in the playoff/division hunt, believe me you will be LONGING for thigpens painfully pedestrian production so again, could you do a lot worse than thigpen? hell yeah you could. am i hoping with all my might thigpen gets replaced? hell yeah i am. but if he doesnt i dont think thats near the catastrophy that many bflo fans apparently believe it is
  6. listen i like fitz and dont have much confidence vy will ever be starting material again, if he ever even really was but anybody who thinks there wont be a qb controversy at some point is fooling themselves. id even say chuddy is telling a white lie by playing down the possibility of vy challenging fitz at some point. whether hes washed up or not, given his background and experience if vy makes the team it seems almost inevitable its easy to see it happening just like its happened jillions of times before - starter struggles for a while (normal for most qbs), then gets injured, backup comes in, lights it up, BOOM goes the dynamite lots of times it happens cuz the opponent doesnt make adjustments fast enough, even after a couple games. often the new hero cant sustain their magic once defenses do adapt and the sudden star quickly goes back to sucking obscurity none of that will be remembered in those frantic moments when the established starter is throwing ugly picks and the backup who got the chance is scoring tds as soon as he comes in. whether thats a real picture of what will happen long term or not the screams will be for the new guy regardless and in this case, vy wont even have to do anything good, people will clamor for him the minute fitz has a bad game - even before the game is over! i dont think vy has it in him, i mean i think he could be that flash in the pan again that makes a coach consider a qb change, but as a long term starter i dont think he has the ability to read defenses fast enough to overcome complex gameplans on a permanent basis. nevertheless, as a bills fan i hope he finally puts it all (his head) together this time and becomes at least a good backup if not long term starting candidate. not holding my breath tho
  7. THANK YOU i dont like it. not at all. but sadly its true still i feel obliged to point out that since they have stopped cheating theyve won exactly zero super bowls cant wait for brady to go into decline, and see belicheater go back to being just a surly sub-500 coach
  8. he has one big advantage going for him in that being a red haired white male he brings that soulless evil quality they all have
  9. so youre saying youre better than me
  10. all males yes but its especially bad for black males. they have campaigns in the hood specifically to encourage males to go to the damn doctor
  11. its a good move imo black males are notorious for things like not going to the doctor, not taking disease prevention seriously, and not testing themselves like this. im going to give him the benefit of the doubt and say he broadcast that to encourage other black males to follow suit
  12. remember all the holy hell flipping out fans did during preseason last season over the lack of big free agent oline signings? and yet all the bills did was go out and have one of the best seasons in the league despite a rash of injuries there good times. good crazy times
  13. so glad we got chan instead of him
  14. well thanks for your time with the bucs kellen, we're sorry things didnt work out, but as parting gifts please accept this kawasaki ninja and case of maddog 20/20
  15. if it helps keep the team in wny i would be reasonably comfortable with up to four games in to, as long as all playoffs were here hell, if its between that and losing the team to the wc id rather they move all the games to toronto. better than nuthin
  16. the only sacks danny batten is going to get are ones full of shoestring fries he grabs from under his new work station
  17. hes going to have a big season. not huge like voted to the probowl or anything like that, but with mario on the other side all the time and w/d in the middle hes going to draw single blocking almost all the time. i expect he will be more visible than ever and open some eyes with the amount of plays he makes. he not great but hes got just the right amount of skills and experience now to really take advantage of having three studs next to him on most of the early downs
  18. idk. i cant see about half the avatars and dont see any sigs for some reason ive never figured out. if my avatar has disappeared then thats news to me. thanks btw ok there we go
  19. lmao of course he makes the team. hes their best all around de not named mario. he starts early downs and has his biggest season ever. and at four mil he certainly isnt getting paid too much to be a key part of the platoon opposite the hundred million dollar man
  20. the answer is gump worsley its a different question but i just like saying that. gump worsley
  21. one word: gazoo helmets
