The Media's Portrayal of Trump and His Presidency
Greybeard replied to Nanker's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
Last Tuesday, 7/28, 20/20 ran a story "American Catastrophe: How we got here." I thought I would learn something watching it and even DVR'ed it. It can be seen on Youtube in parts. Here is the link to part 1. I think there are 3 or 4 parts. I did learn something watching it, unfortunately I will have to watch it again to remember what it was. It is a great piece of unbiased reporting! /s -
Get Sunflower hearts, de-shelled Sunflower seeds. Once the birds find that they come back. If your feeder is on a patio or porch, you don't have to clean up all the black shells. I have yard feeders and a window feeder. The window feeder only gets hearts but the the yard feeders get both types. If the yard feeders run out of hearts some of the larger birds come to the window. A blue jay will come and he is as big as the feeder. All he can do is grab the edge and hang, but he likes to come and pig out. Also, there are not many birds that come and stay if there is someone in the kitchen. I have seen them flying in and turn away if your within 5 feet of the window.

It's always interesting on what triggers a memory. I just remembered Tom would read notes from viewers on what the definition of a "Split Second" was. The one that comes to mind was "the time between the light turning green and the guy behind you beeping the horn." It also happens to be the only one I remember. -
Damn slip knots!

Do the birds love these caterpillars? I would assume the trees would have lots of birds looking for an easy meal.

Ah, the "Affordable Health Care Act." The politicians who passed it should have been forced to use it. -
In early 1970 I came across this album at Twin Fair. The name of the album is "Then Played On." I thought I would give it a shot and it turned out to be not only one of my all time top 10 albums but my introduction to Peter Green. This led to back tracking to get earlier Fleetwood Mac albums. The more Peter Green I heard the more I loved him. He will be missed. RIP If you interested in an intro to Fleetwood Mac, I suggest you start here.

It is amazing how expensive tree trimming is. I had some done the last two years and will probably do some more the next two.

Before the virus, I would gather the carts near the cart rack and make sure they were inserted into each other. Grocery stores often have double and triple wide areas and people often leave carts at the opening. For some reason I am compelled to stick all the carts together to insure there is room to put the carts there. Since the virus I don't like to touch multiple carts so I don't do this very often.

You lost me. Then I looked at the colour and thought is this guy english. When I saw Ridgeway I understood, or at least understood the spelling. And then I had to look up the emoji. So I am still lost. It must be time for coffee.

I always thought color television brought about this fashion. So why is this pic in black and white?

She was well prepared, she had her multiple positive floatation devices ready. -
A friend down the street from me still has two pairs. Last year they stayed around into July. I had one male, one female but I haven't seen them in a couple of weeks. They would stop at the jelly feeder, then go to the blossoming apple tree and stay in the apple tree for few minutes going down the branches. It seems like as soon as the blossoms were gone, so were the orioles. Now I only have a couple of catbirds that visit the jelly feeder.

I don't know but it is appropriate for any professional team in Florida that isn't winning. They should have been doing what some Korean baseball teams starting doing post-virus. That is putting blow up dolls in the stands.

Build one of these. I have never seen a squirell get past it. Although I had to work on the top a little as a chipmunk would crawl up the center and into the feeder. It also has one additional benefit. Most baffles you buy are built to go on a straight pole. If you have a bishop's hook with an L at the base you can take this one and not connect the seam until you are putting it around the pole.
