I also believe they will sign Fitz but probably later than now. He’s not needed for mini camps. Bring in Allen give him some reps and then bring in two UDFAs as camp arms. Let him heal, give him a small 1 year deal, and you have one of the better backups for a year , who can actually win you a couple games if absolutely needed. If not you have a great locker room guy who knows the culture and can help Allen with prep

WR is way deeper than CB this year the value at round 1 CB is gone by the 2nd pick. It’s a pretty significant drop. The Bills could get a baller WR in round 2 or even 3 or 4. There are that many good WRs.CB makes way more sense in round 1. McDuffie at 25 and Dotson/Watson/Pierce etc sounds better than Chris Olave and Martin Emerson to me . 1st round WR is more exciting and it’s possible just my opinion I see Gordon as a dark horse. Fits the Bills blood but a lot of people think he’s a slot only, he’s undersized and ran “slow” at 4.53 at the combine. I think his teammate McDuffie is a way better option to be honest

Let’s talk 1st round Cornerbacks: Sauce Gardner and Derek Stingley are probably gone unless the Bills trade up. So then we have Kaiir Elam CB Florida Kyler Gordon CB Washington Roger McCreary CB Auburn Andrew Booth CB Clemson Trent McDuffie CB Washington Out of these guys I think the Bills would prefer in order Andrew Booth Kaiir Elam Trent McDuffie Roger McCreary Kyler Gordon Its very possible Booth is off the board. I think it’s likely that the other 4 will be on the board and if their set on CB then the Bills will either pick Elam or McDuffie. Gordon has the personality type the Bills love but could be a slot only guy. If the Bills believe he can play outside than he’s in the mix

If we have any type of money left then Donte Jackson is that guy. I suspect their going CB round 1 for sure, then WR, OL, and LB in some semblance

boy idk if we got the cash but that’d be a great get. Good news is we haven’t heard any rumors of interest so that almost guarantees we’ve called right? -
AZ cuts Jordan Phillips - now signed by Bills
gonzo1105 replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall
Man that means Star has to be gone after June 1st if true. so you got Ed, and Jordan Phillips at the 3 Tech Jones and Settle at the 1T Can probably say that there is no shot at Jordan Davis now, not that I personally wanted him -
McKissinc changes mind, returning to Washington

If the Bills are looking for someone similar I’m guessing Patterson or Jerick McKinnon would be next on the line -

so much for that 1 year at a reasonable cost for back surgery . The base pay at 9 isn’t bad but with I’m guessing a lot of reachable incentives it will be more like 11 a year -
Chandler Jones signing with Raiders - 3 years, $52.5 mill
gonzo1105 replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall
Probably Melvin Ingram or Za’Darius Smith or Uchenna Nwosu. Nwosu hasn’t had big production but he’s the youngest. Im a huge fan of Smith since he was drafted and has been a stud for the Ravens and Packers. Problem is he had back surgery and who knows what you’ll get from him. On the positive side you might be able to get him on a 1 year semi conservative deal Ingram is a 1 year deal guy and he still can get after it but for some reason I don’t see the Bills pursuing there -
With McKissic backing out the Bills are back on the comp board for next year
-
yes ik that. It doesn’t matter I’m telling you just go on over the cap they have a whole system and they get like 95% of the right every year
-
when we lost Stephon Gilmore and he went on to be a pro bowler the next season did we get any pick for him despite getting one of the highest paid CB salaries at the time? The answer is no. It doesn’t matter near as much as people try to make it out
-
the pro bowl , contract stuff you heard in the past is a fallacy. The contract only matters for 2 reasons. 1. Alike contracts for gained and lost cancel each other out 2. Remaining players who didn’t get cancel get slotted for a round based on remaining contract size. hope that makes some sense
-
even so far. Players we cut don’t count. So no Williams, Klein when they sign. So far we’re even gained 3 lost 3. Gained Jones Settle McKissic Lost: Trubisky Wallace Phillips Saffold doesn’t count as he was cut by the Titans
-
100% the next signing will be neither Jones or Hicks. It will be at neither position being discussed

2 years 17 million makes me think the Giants may have offered Trubisky more but he saw a better opportunity with the Steelers and took less money -
its actually not hard at all but the mystique surrounding it years ago still gets to people. Did you gain more non cut free agents than you lost. Oh you gained more? No comp pick Did you lose more than you gained? Yes? How many? 2 more? 2 comp picks. How much money did they make? That slots into what round you get as a pick
-
As it stands rn the Bills won’t get a pick next year either

Bills converting Matt Milano salary to signing bonus
gonzo1105 replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall
The only thing I can think is it seems they always have another guy in the back pocket before they make that move. It’s very possible they are going after another slot WR. I wouldn’t be against Jamison Crowder -
My thought on all of the DT interest is two fold. 1. I think by getting experienced guys in the middle with proven success it will help the younger defensive ends have one on ones and hopefully became better at their craft 2. I think they are on the fence with Edmunds. They probably feel they haven't given him enough beef up front to flow and be as successful as they like. If they put all of these guys in front of him and he is still average then they have their answer on whether to reup him or not after his 5th year option.

Levi Wallace gone to the Steelers on 2-year deal
gonzo1105 replied to Roundybout's topic in The Stadium Wall
The Plan B is to sign another Cornerback who's better or to draft one in the first or second round. -
He is very good at catching the ball, not just in the screen game but also down the field with wheel routes and angle routes. He’s a pretty explosive guy, will probably play the role that most envisioned Cordarelle Patterson would have played if he came here. Another speed guy on offense to cause mismatches underneath. Another good under the market signing.
-
Ward signed with the 49ers but they didn’t even list the guy who lost fits the Bills and that’s Donte Jackson from Carolina(yes yes another panther). I’d be going after him right now especially with the way the DB market has been exceptionally slow so far

What I notice so far is a lot of 2 year deals for guys. Thinking there has to be a correlation between that and the new salary cap surge after the TV deals get redone. Not a lot of big money getting thrown around due to tighter caps -
The Steelers signed him to a 2 year max value 27 million that’s 13.5 million meaning that the Bills next year would get a 4th rounder if they sign less qualifying free agents than they gain so scratch this apparently since 13 million is incentives the actual deal is 2 years 14.2 million so 7.1 million is a 6th rounder so disappointed in that
