  1. UPL is probably Ullmark if he hits his ceiling. He's okay as a tandem, I suppose. Need to sign or trade for a veteran. Throw money at Fleury for a few years. I like Kuemper, but he is probably going to want longer term than you'd like and you'll have to overpay. Levi needs a few years to develop and maybe Portillo if he signs.
  2. Did he find your wallet?
  3. He's probably going in the second. Zero chance he falls to the fourth.
  4. The stadium has been falling apart for twenty years. They've been putting band-aids on ad hoc. If they wanted a downtown stadium with all the expense of infrastructure and dealing with municipal politics, they could have done so. Orchard Park was always the favorite and there are good reasons for that.
  5. It's like an especially bad April 1st joke. Why devote resources for that kind of payoff?
  6. Josh Allen has a chance to end up No. 1, but right now, this is correct, even though some folks will be squeamish about it.
  7. I like Breece Hall and Kenneth Walker III, but they are second round picks and I don't think rb merits that high an investment. James Cook somewhat later is who I like.
  8. We posted at the same time. If I had seen the answer posted, I would not have "chimed in."
  9. Fella, he's saying "No to taking McDuffie over a receiver." Gunner is not one of the folks who is pushing cb position over wr. He's got a very high rating for Booth. He also likes a lot of receivers. I believe he mocked Williams to the Bills.
  10. I really think Gunner's opinions are quite astute. Booth is the one D fella I can't complain if he is the pick and I am very much an advocate for wr in the first. WR and OL better be addressed first three rounds, though.
  11. Technically, you can look at Diggs' previous contract and say there was no need to act. Existentially, in reality, Deebo Samuel's discontent and Diggs' enigmatic social media tweets indicate that the current escalation of wr dollars was going to need to be addressed if you want to maintain a happy locker room. As we are in the optimum window for SB success (should have won last year,) I'm not sure Beane had too much of a choice. As far as paying up at the crest of the wave, maybe, but do you think the price is going to go down, because without being an expert, I just rather doubt it? It may stabilize, but then, how does that come down to a different bottom line other than the length of contract, where there are some outs at the end apparently? And none of this is to dispute the basic assertion that Beane has done a good job but made mistakes and will, undoubtedly, make more, because even if very good at his job, a human being who errs . . . maybe not you.
  12. Well, except for the odd something happening of significance to the Bills day, I have to be bribed into turning on NFL Network in the a.m.
  13. I think Booth is the likely pick at 25 if he is there. Personally, I would trade up to try and secure Jameson Williams. I am fairly certain KC and GB will be thinking about it among other teams. If we go CB in the first, we better be prepared to trade up in the second to get Pickens, Skyy Moore, or Christian Watson if he somehow falls into the second. Strengthening the Oline remains a concern as well, but I like the idea of adding a wr that combines top line speed who is developed enough already to not be a complete project to the arsenal available to Josh Allen. We should try to emulate the kind of pressure and stress Mahomes with Kelce and Hill was able to bring to every game.
  14. Cannot take Bonnetta. I thought Jane Slater was fine, today. I like Kay, but everyone needs to step away and recharge now and again.
  15. I want Jameson, but Booth is the one defensive player that has a chance to be there @25 I don't see Beane passing up. I won't complain, but they better have a trade up in round 2 for wr if it plays out that way. (But I think he goes way earlier, to be honest.)
  16. Apparently Tottenham Hotspur stadium is a reasonable template. Designed by the same firm and similar size, though soccer pitch. I'm not worried. I'm sure it will be pleasing. And best of all, it keeps the Bills in Buffalo.
  17. I honestly think Nakobe Dean would come in as a rookie and outplay him, because Dean has the instincts for football, though not a physical specimen like Edmonds. (But I want a top wr in the first, and if we don't go there, it will likely be cb, so the point is moot.)
  18. You mean Christian Watson, I think. I was thinking second round for both, but from comments in the Watson thread, looks like he may go in the first.
  19. I would include Dotson as a wr I'd be comfortable taking @ 25. If the run on wr starts to look like they are all gone before our pick, I hope Beane considers a trade up, though I'd be happy with Booth at cb if he somehow is still on the board. Otherwise, I like Pickens in the 2nd, but you probably need to trade up to early in the second to make certain you get him. I don't think this is a stand pat and let the draft come to you year.
  20. He is less risk averse, yet for some reason in the middle of the KC game we went conservative and just threw away several drives. At the end of the game, there were inexcusable errors. You've got to be sharp in the crucial moments and there is certainly room for growth there . . .
  21. I want Olave or Williams in the first. I would trade up a bit to get them. If it's cb in the first, I am trading up in the second to get George Pickens.
  22. Or maybe Beane trades up a bit and takes Williams. I don't think that is outside the realm of possibility. Keeping him away from KC is a not inconsiderable bonus.
