He’s difficult to replace because Milano almost always makes the right decision. Elite LB decision making is rare and undervalued trait and what makes the Bills a Top 10 defense. Thus, it makes him one of the best LBs in the game.
Mat Milano is severely underrated by Bills fans. He’s a solId, dependable and smart; one of the best LBs in the game who helps makes the defense Top 10. When he’s out they aren’t early as good and his replacement would be very difficult to plug in.
Too many people are severaly underestimating the importance of Edmunds and Milano. They control the middle of the field, read and react so well and are crucial on pass plays (see corner today's corner play) Need at least one back for Rams because Klein is at best average and Dodson is just too inexperienced. The depth just get worse from there.
"Lost?" You insisted the starters would not be missed and the Dolphins had no chance. You were told repeatedly that was wrong, Fitz would abuse the backups and the Bills would need 30 to win. All those things happened. Learn how to take the L.
You may be fooling yourself.
I’ll say again, Dodson is a rookie playing perhaps his 15th play at game time and Klein is an average LB, in no scenario are they close to Milano and Edmunds in any facet of the game.
Whether it’s pass, run or triple option, in no way, shape or form are Dodson or Klein in the same league as Milano and Edmunds. Don’t fool yourself, Dodson and Klein are a sharp drop off and Fitz or Chan Gailey can take them apart. Bills may need 30 points to win.
Woods is a very good all-around player, one of my favorite. Assuming same contract I would swap him out for anyone after Diggs and Brown. I think Brown and Woods have a very similar game. Woods may stand out a bit more but Brown has a special connection with Josh Allen.
I don't mind Josh Allen run plays, it's what makes him so dangerous; same for Lamar Jackson, Randall Cunningham, etc. However, I believe Daboll deserves criticism for the calling the play that led to the second fumble. It was Josh's fault for fumbling but it was a dumb and unnecessary call at that point of the game.
