  1. Because they are pretty starters. However, Linemen tend to get dinged up, and right now the Bills backups have a significant talent gap.
  2. You may be aware there are six additional rounds. And what happens if Saffold (32), Bates (never started more than 4 games) or Morse lose weeks, or months? The current depth is not comforting.
  3. There’s a good chance that Zion is rated much higher than whatever CBs are on the board.
  4. OL. Not enough depth if starters miss significant time. After Jameson Williams, Zion Johnson might be my top choice amongst realistic choices.
  5. Zion Johnson, Green and Lloyd at LB are definite possibilities. Could see the Bills playing a lot of 4-3, and Johnson and Greene could play a lot if starters get hurt.
  6. I don't know one reporter who doesn't believe that the Bills LOVE Edmunds and will do everything possible to sign him longterm. I personally believe there is a much greater chance Poyer is traded for his replacement than Edmunds.
  7. Agent chatter is even less reliable.
  8. I think Moore would be a nice addition. But if we've learned anything, the Bills do not leak information.
  9. Bernhard Raimann Jack Jones
  10. This may be the most comfortable I've been with a draft. Other than the glaring hole at CB, just about every other pick allows the Bills to provide added depth. Personally, I believe the Bills will have a veteran CB on the roster by draft day, which could provide further flexibility. If the Bills took three CBs, three OL, and the punter Araiza in the 3rd, I think I'd be perfectly fine.
  11. It makes no sense. First, Bills would need to assume Gardner is a can't miss prospect. Second, that Gardner is THE key to a Super Bowl this year. Third, there are no other good options at CB (even by the third round) Fourth, the Bills have exhausted all other options to give up a 2023 first and third for other assests. On the surface, none of these can be reasonably considered true.
  12. This a creative way to start another Edmunds rant. "We need a guy like Jerry Hughes who had a lot of costly penalties." Way to sell your point.
  13. Horror stories? Like what? I grew up outside NYC and visit often. I have never had a problem.
  14. I believe Tyler Smith will play for 10 years and be a perrenial pro bowl contender. Walker will likely be a "fine" RB for a few years.
  15. I believe you could have a high degree of confidence yet worry about every down, let alone every game.
  16. Gilmore is one of a long line of maligned players that did not deserve hate from fans. One of the great CB in the league and some fans never appreciated his talent.
  17. Announcers I like listening to and make a game intersting: Mike Breen - basketball Kevin Harlan Gus Johnson Gary Cohen - baseball Color: Tony Romo Walt Clyde Frazier Ron Darling
  18. I'd defer because I want to know what I need to do. I'd hate to have the ball first and have to decide to kick an easy FG or attempt a difficult fourth down. If you have the ball second that decision is made for you.
  19. Don't get why this isn't also for regular season. I assume they don't want games going on forever but you could institute two possessions and then a tie.
  20. But this isn't a video game. You don't get to name your price and expect a team to accept.
  21. I think it's logical to give a bit more "weight" to a position of extreme need. If it's close, I think if the Bills select a CB, no matter how much I like someone like Zion Johnson cementing a potentially outstanding OL. My standards for WR are a bit higher, as I believe that a receiver needs to be good enough to become a starting slot or WR2 with Diggs possibly moving to slot (see Jameson Williams).
  22. You cannot rule out a potentially excellent starting lineman for a CB or WR you don't believe has first round value. It's very probable that ALL of the first round worthy CBs and WRs are gone by 25. If so, it would be hard to pass up a starting OL that could help the offense cook.
  23. At #25, you don't get to be picky. Many "experts" believe it's rare there are 32 "first round worthy" players, especially this year. Normally, from about 25 to 32, the "rules" seem to be different. For the Bills, it probably comes down to whether the "top" CBs and WRs are on the board, and if not, take the best offensive lineman. However, if the Bills believe the OL is far ahead of a CB and WR, then go ahead and take Zion Johnson, I mean, whoever they really like.
