  1. You'd think the Jihad against Edmunds would be better prepared.
  2. Mission Accomplished, Walter Football. Six pages of Bills fans clicks. Next mock: "Bills need to draft a 3rd round QB because Josh Allen's play is not sustainable."
  3. Klien is not a starting MLB and if/when he's released, he'll sign as a backup at a much lower price that his current projected salary. There is a very good reason he's a cut candidate, career backup and the Bills defense would take a significant step down if he was the full-time starter over Edmunds.
  4. You do realize that Edmunds will be on the team in 2022-23? Klein may be the #1 cut candidate.
  5. You did an excellent job of setting up and knocking down all those straw men. Well done, you should be a sports commentator. Klein? Are you serious? Klein won't even be on the team.
  6. Edmunds is a Bills fan Rorschach. They'll see what they want to see. I believe too many fans expect/want a different style of play and then are down on Edmunds when it doesn't happen. When a player does the same thing for four years and is praised by coaches but criticized by fans, there is clearly something amiss. I see a very good player because Edmunds does exactly what the coaches ask him to do, which has a huge impact on the entire defensive scheme. If the Bills weren't a Top 3 defense, I'd think, "Whatever he's doing is not making a difference," but the opposite seems to be true. In the end, I believe the Bills sign him for "Milano money."
  7. I'm still amazed that after months (years?) of debating Edmunds that a Bills fan could still suggest that Edmunds will get, or he even expects, "Darius Leonard money." There is simply no evidence for that scenario. On the other hand, I think it's possible or even probable that a team will offer Edmunds $15M/year, but I believe it's just as probable that Edmunds would stay for Milano money, which could be fair for both the team and player.
  8. "Decline to answer" = "Cannot answer without sounding like a Putin stooge"
  9. It's a good bet that none of these scenarios would occur.
  10. But how are the schools?
  11. It seems wierd this relationship followed the exact same pattern as the other dozen.
  12. "Will" retain is speed is a bold prediction for any injury. Williams is a good receiver but his speed and quickness set him apart. Ramping back up to elite speed is far from certain. Like I said in the OP, I think much more likely the Bills take a very good player at a position of need than take a chance on a WR who "might" retain his speed and "might" be ready to play early in the seaon.
  13. A Catch-22: If the Bills receive assurance Williams will retain his speed, so will other teams and he won't be there at #25. I think the Bills are too close to a Super Bowl to "waste" their first round pick on a receiver who might not play or at risk to not come back 100%.
  14. I don't understand the logic of this post. I would think not securing a futures contract is additonal proof Davis will not play next year and be available to take a position with the Bills.
  15. I feel this topic should have been saved for the late June Stadium Wall lull.
  16. Mahomes didn't get "figured out," he had a bad half of football. If Mahomes was just slightly above average, the Chiefs could easily be in Super Bowl. I think it's a very good bet Mahomes will again be a MVP canddiate next year. Same story for Allen. Talent is talent. For those who think the NFL has "figured out" Lamar Jackson, I believe a healthy LJ is still extremely dangerous and a potential Top 5 QB.
  17. Your history lesson skips over a massive amount of context.
  18. That “might” be true but there is little evidence it is true in this case. Also, we have no idea whether Daboll truly succeeds without McDermott’s leadership and input.
  19. This logic makes little sense. McDermott hired Daboll. You may want to review the history of the Dennison hire.
  20. Every hired coach is a “gamble.” Which OC candidate is not? Who is most likely to have a productive working relationship with the current staff and coaches? Who is most likely to adapt to the talent on the roster? Who is most likely to have system that can be implemented effectively? There are many great football minds but that’s only one consideration in coaching hires.
  21. “Bills pass on McDermott and Beane, want a coach and GM with experience.”
  22. If Dorsey is the guy, I’m in full support. There are other factors as important than OC “experience.” No outside OC will know the players as well, have watched every snap, who understands tendencies, saw what worked and what hasn’t, has the trust of players and coaches, knows the system, etc. IMO, for over a year, the Bills have evaluated Dorsey and their internal staff for just this decision. So far, all the chatter from management, coaches and players point to only one candidate. If there was any doubt about Dorsey’s qualifications, I think the Bills would have hinted that it’s an open process.
  23. I don't believe there a reason to change, but if change is coming I believe the team is a great position to grow.
