  1. My initial thought is consistent with the above, but then I think about my having a feeling that Fred Jackson and Stevie Johnson had looked so good in preseason and I wondered how come they weren't being given a shot - and once they got a shot, they did pretty well. Sometimes I wonder if there's a bias on the part of the coaches to favor one player over another....which happens in all professions to some extent. Maybe it's different with QBs, because there is so much time and preparation that the coaches feel it's too much of a waste of the time they invested in Fitz to pull him for Brohm, just to see how he does? And when your job and reputation are on the line, it's a lot harder to make a change "just to see how he does". I know there are some former pro players on here, and I'd enjoy hearing about their experiences with coaches who held back guys with potential and some of the reasons for doing so (as the former players perceived them). Cue Die Hard and Another Point of View.....
  2. I hear ya....this site was SO much different back when you first joined....back in........September. Things have totally gone downhill over the past 60 days. We'll miss your 9 posts! Ta-ta! sorry, couldn't resist!
  3. LOL...I'm 51 and have two colonoscopies. Yeah, with the drugs they gave me, they could have driven a bus through my colon and I wouldn't have cared!
  4. When I high-fived him along the wall during pregame warm-ups his rookie year, I just KNEW he had great hands. Thanks for acknowledging my scouting prowess!
  5. Bills fans at M&T gotta be loving this....if they are still sober and conscious.
  6. Ummm..."Engange" wasn't a word, at least last time I took English as a second language......
  7. .....but he does have a great motor, and we really, really like him. He works hard. He plays hard. He just needs to post more....
  8. Game's not on here in Bermuda, so I'll continue vacationing at the beach with my daughters! Life's a B word!

  10. 1180 AM WHAM. I also stream WGRF online but there is a 10 second or so delay so its tough watching on TV and listening to the broadcast radio network
  11. I really think you need to keep your suck preferences to yourself...children may be reading this.
  12. I vote for cutting Trent and letting Freddy run the Wildcat full-time. Freddy has gotten the ball downfield as effectively as Trent (i.e. not at all).
  13. Whether it's Guidry or Cunningham doesn't matter to me. I just think it's cool an old school Bill made his presence known on the board. He played during my favorite years of Bills football. I started following them in 1968 when I was 9. I have a scrapbook I made back then with newspaper clipping and program photos of the 1968 season. It's hilarious to look at now, only because of my incredibly poor "scrapbooking" skills! I loved those guys back then...they were "shot and a beer" kind of guys....I looked at them much like my Dad the DuPont factory worker - blue collar, hard working and dedicated to their jobs. And I had that childish awe and optimism about those teams...I wasn't old enough to be jaded or cynical. They weren't role models, but they were the focus of my attention, for sure...along with Bobo Brazil, Waldo Von Erich and The Sheik. Thanks for letting yourself be known and if you want to make a grand exit, it's cool by me.
  14. What's $900,000 between friends? Maybe there are bonuses that get him over the $11 million mark?...like $100,000 per false start, perhaps?
  15. Jack - can you point me to that thread? did a quick search and got nada. Thanks...just interested on the background.
  16. VGA is the multi-pin connection and is for video only. If you have an audio input on your TV or soundsystem, you can run a plug from your laptop headphone jack to the TV/sound system input. I had to buy an adapter to fit the RCA plug input on my sound system at radio shack. Looks and sounds like a champ! Note that on my new (low-end) Dynex HDTV, the resolution isn't as high as my laptop screen so the picture isn't as crisp on the TV.
  17. I did this with my laptop and just got a VGA cable and plugged it in. Might have to restart your computer to take effect. I also had to go into the Display properties and fiddle with the settings to match my TV's resolution. Note that many TV's don't have as high a resolution as your laptop screen, so the picture might not be as good as on your laptop.
  18. WE'RE GOIN' TO THE SUPER BOWL, BITCHES!!!!! ......OR PERHAPS NOT.
  19. Honestly, what was up with Joe's haircut? He looked like Mo from the Three Stooges. Hate to see him become a parody on SNL, but man, it's heading that way.
