  1. For all of you saying you don’t play for a tie - Bill O’Brien went for the tie earlier in OT and still won the game. Should he have played for the win when he had 3rd and 10 at the Indy 11? He chose to go for the tie and won the game. Playing the odds to avoid a loss doesn’t always mean you end up in a tie. Sometimes you get the win that way. O’Brien just proved it. The way Reich handled the situation (as I detailed in an earlier post). given the flow of the game had failure written all over it. In a vacuum, I agree you play to win, but that particular point in the game the approach seemed doomed to failure. Maybe it’s just my BBFS ?
  2. But if you go 0-0-16 you can say you’re undefeated!
  3. It was a bad decision. The Colts had the game in hand and let Watson march down the field for the tie. When the 4th down came up in OT, he tried to draw Houston offside and took the offense off the field, then sent them back out. The momentum, if they had any, was shot at that point and it just felt like it wasn’t going to work and it didn’t. A tie is better than a loss and the circumstances just pointed to failure in this case. I think that’s why the announcers had a fit. It just felt like a bad decision and it was.
  4. Saw this on the OT broadcast; there’s being ballsy, and then there’s just being dumb. https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.yahoo.com/amphtml/sports/colts-frank-reich-makes-worst-decision-nfl-season-212039108.html “The Indianapolis Colts coach did it with guts and bravado, just like his previous employer – the Philadelphia Eagles – taught him to do. But that’s not going to help Reich’s Colts, who essentially gave away a tie when Reich inconceivably called for a fourth-and-4 shotgun pass from his own 43-yard line with 27 seconds left in overtime against the Houston Texans. The rest is history: The Colts failed to convert. Texans quarterback Deshaun Watson connected on a 19-yard pass and Houston made a 37-yard field goal to win the game in overtime. And if that wasn’t bad enough, the Texans actually missed the game-winning field goal attempt initially, only to have that mistake nullified by a timeout called by Reich.”
  5. They might recognize the one that played in the XFL: He Drop Me
  6. Go for a walk with my wife so I don’t have to watch that !?$&
  7. No DVR. Cut the cord. Do have a few days left on the Game Pass trial. Was hoping for some direction from teef. He seems like a role model around these parts.
  8. My wife and I just had a 90-minute intimate, spiritual conversation where she revealed some very personal and emotional spiritual experiences she has recently had. Now, she asked me if I want to go for a walk. WTF. It’s almost game time. But I feel like she’s really vulnerable and needs some attention. How can can I blow her off without being “that guy”?
  9. I went to the Vikings game as a guest of a Vikings player that my daughter and son-in -law are good friends with. Sat in the “friends and family” section, and had to keep my excitement low key during the game. The atmosphere in the family lounge after the game was like a funeral waiting for the players to come out. Was a really great experience all the way around. Hope the Vikings make up for it tonight. Their fans and the stadium experience before, during and after was so much more refined than a Bills game LOL. Didn’t see a drunk until out on the street way after the game was over.
  10. Aww. C’mon teef. You of all people should appreciate the humor that comes out of these types of threads. They make this place more interesting!
  11. This guy. Never should have honored him today against a big underdog. “They are who we thought they were and we let em off the hook” https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=aYKIcnj1MJY
  12. Perhaps she’s lost weight since you dated? ?

  14. He tossed a Croc? That’s f-ed up, man.
  15. He missed ‘em by a foot!
  16. Can’t believe that guy tossed a flip flop like that. He could have put someone’s eye out.
  17. Did you see the Bills defense while you were over there? Apparently they caught a flight out in time to show up for the second half.
  18. That kinda scares me, seeing as I’ll be attending next week’s game as a guest of a Vikings player.
  19. Your screen name belies your personnel management acumen
  20. This seems a little over the top. Davis quit a game - he didn’t put people’s safety or their welfare at risk. It’s more akin to an actor quitting a play during intermission. In the big picture - it’s not a big deal in the grand scheme of things like you raise.
  21. I blame this on the fact Davis had the stink of the Colts still on him. Didn’t they hire a coach that quit before his press conference?
  22. Don’t got a dog in your fight....but Boyst nailed it.
