Bad Things

For what it's worth, I grew up in Upstate NY in the 70's and 80's and still visit. It may just be nostalgia on my part, but I remember that the pizza of my youth was far better than what I generally see when I'm home visiting family. Maybe I was just spoiled with the little family-run Italian places of back in the day, when I lived there. That said, I sooooooo miss NY State food! Thankfully a little pizza place, run by an Italian family opened up in town about a year ago. My wife and I almost cried when we first ate it... best pizza since we moved here 16 years ago, with the exact same taste and texture in the crust and sauce that I remember from Upstate NY pizzas of my youth. (In fact, I'm eating some right now!)

Good. Our O-line needs to play with a tougher/nastier attitude. There were a number of times last season, when the other team acted like they were the dominate ones.

Keep pushing the ball downfield. Our last game showed that we can successfully execute the long ball. Keep the run-game, but certainly have the passing game be the focus of the offense. We need a run game to keep defenses honest. Don't run Josh as much during the regular season. (Unless necessary.) I'd like to see a more physical presence and attitude coming from our Offensive Line. Although they improved later in the season, there were games when they were getting pushed around physically and mentally. We need a more nasty attitude from the entire unit. Let Josh shine.

I could swear that I read a story during training camp, where Bruce visited the camp and preached the exact some thing. I'd be very surprised if our DL guys didn't have a "first move" ready for each play. However, it would be inexcusable if true.

Through the decades I've seen some great quarterbacks, carry their teams, and "will" them on to certain victories here and there. However, I've never seen anyone do it like Josh does. When he's on his game, he plays on a completely different level compared to all the rest of the players on the field. It's a joy to watch, and I am so grateful that he's on our team. Next year! Let's go Buffalo!

For the first time in my life, I had to turn the game off before it finished. I don't know exactly why, but this game was insanely stressful to watch. It honestly got to the point, where my smartwatch started beeping, giving me a "stress warning". What? I took the hint, turned off the tv with 2 minutes left and took my dog for a walk. I just had to chill out. Thank God I did, because I probably would've had a heart attack if I hadn't. Ugh. Let's go Buffalo!

Top of the South Island of New Zealand here. (Tasman Bay) The game is on at 12:30pm and I was supposed to be at work, but... we were just moved into a different level in our Covid response, so I get to "work" from home. Ha!!! It's a beautiful sunny, summer day and I'm stocked with beer and food for the barbie. The wife is at work and I'm just home with the dog. Perfect! Where else would I rather be...? Let's go Buffalo!!
