Agree and I think it is bigger than just Allen and Lamar. For a long time, black, “athletic” qbs would be drafted low if not drafted at all (Charlie Ward won a Heisman and wasn’t given a shot in the nfl). And the Allen type prospect (big, big arm, very uneven production a la Hackenburg or Blaine Gabbert) would be drafted high based on nothing they actually did in college. I hated the Allen type prospect and it wasn’t about Josh, who I truly believe is a unicorn. So when Allen, who wasn’t this Allen in college, gets drafted so high while a Heisman trophy winner is talked about switched positions, it is kinda BS. I also think that because black analysts doesn’t like Allen (and what does that even mean? Who doesn’t have him at worse top 5) because they think he might be too turnover prone, that isn’t just because he’s not black as well. I know you aren’t saying that but that’s kinda messed up to think that a black analyst might think that way.

I agree with this. Allen certainly gets his share of criticism but it’s nothing compared to what Cam Newton got. Newton would get called out all the time for his body language or ridiculous crap. I hope we are getting to a point where qbs are just being judged on being qbs. I think a guy like Allen paved the way for Anthony Richardson (not great college production, high upside/ physical tools). Why? Honest question. What are we even arguing about here? Lamar, who some guys thought should be a rb, has a MVP, the number 1 seed in the AFC, and is like third in MVP odds. I think Allen is better but people should think Lamar (who gets crapped on more than any other good qb) is really good as well too.

That doesn’t make sense in the slightest. The game is less physical now so players can play much longer. Jerry Rice was an absolute freak. and I’ve been on the trade Diggs train for a while. I think he’s been overall really good but it’s just not worth all the drama (fair or not but it doesn’t stop) and the money. His trade value is very high and I think we could get a first. I’d rather take my chances on 2 young, hungry, cheap guys in an absolutely loaded class than run this back. Even though Diggs is still one of the best in the league. NE was great at getting rid of drama and players before they fell off.

I was hoping that this time it was different. Like a kicker would miss a 60 yarder in awful conditions after a HOF C got 2 penalties in a row. But deep down, I knew he was going to make it and we would lose. they only good thing about being a Buffalo fan is it doesn’t completely break you when it happens again. It’s like a bad relationship. They cheat on you, call you fat and ugly but every once in a while, they are super nice and tell you how wonderful you are. And then they do it to you again. 😞 but it will make it that much sweeter if by some miracle of God they actually win one (which I assume will result in a meteor hitting the earth). And the Eagles are the exact opposite at adjustments.

Honestly, as frustrating as it is, what impact did it ultimately have? We had plenty of chances to win the game in the 4th and couldn’t do it. Would I love to see they trust one of the best Qbs in the nfl? Of course. But if they turn the ball over and gift the Eagles points, fans are killing him for that. I hate it but that is way bottom of the list of things that went wrong that game.

Cool. He also threw 5 ints all year and won the game. Brady threw ints in his SBs. Mahomes also lost a game 54-51. Not sure what any of these points mean. Are you trying to say Allen is better than Mahomes? Or are you somehow arguing that Allen gets more criticism than Mahomes, because of course he does.

Well he tried to win the Broncos game and that blew up too. I knew he was going to be super conservative after that. That game further neuter him. and 95% of defensive coaches would do the same thing. It’s why I always wanted an offensive coach.

And I’m sure he was criticized for it. He then won the SB/ MVP they traded maybe the best receiver in the nfl the next year. Allen wins one SB, there is zero criticism when he throws a int in a regular season game. Again, he is amazing and you hate to neuter him in anyway. But the turnovers have been the one ***** in his armor. That was still probably my favorite Allen game of his career. He deserved that W.

It was awful having a top 3 defense every year. Awful!!! He’s firing himself as DC. in a weird way, the Brady looking good thing is even worse for him because why did he stay with Dorsey so long.

If he had an OC but he has been absolutely terrible at that minus one guy (who’s nfl resume was pretty spotty too).

So wait we like the talking heads now? But if they say something bad about Allen or the Bills, we don’t like them again? Allen is the only qb who can make plays that Mahomes can. However, he lacks consistency/ decision making that makes him a bit below Mahomes. Not even sure how this is debatable. He is a top 3 qb in the nfl which is amazing. he played almost a perfect game yesterday and deserved that W. But when don’t have the hardware, mistakes get criticized more. Mahomes throws the same pick, he has the luxury of 2 SBs, 2 MVPs, and the second best record in the nfl. Unfortunately, it’s the luxury Allen doesn’t have but he is still amazing in his own right.

Great guy and I wish him well but I would only take him as a qb coach.

What are you rambling about? Mahomes has 2 SBs. Of course, he’s going to not get killed like other qbs. How is this even a discussion? everyone with a brain knows Allen is a top 3 qb. But he is getting to get criticized more than Pat Mahomes. I’m not sure why this is even a debate.

Are those more the exceptions than the norm for a guy who always host playoff games and won 2 SBs? Allen is amazing. But I’m sorry, he’s not Mahomes. Every non Bill fan would agree. It’s crazy this is even a thing. do we win the SB if we trade away Diggs?

Mahomes throws to legit garbage besides an aging Kelce. He carried worse defenses to SBs than the Bills had. allen isn’t Mahomes and that’s ok. Mahomes is better than maybe every qb ever. Are we just making up things to get upset about? Who doesn’t think Allen is a top 3 qb? I also think some people think Allen isn’t allowed to be criticized. He has been too careless with ball. That’s not debatable. And he has been inconsistent this year. Maybe it was all Dorsey and we’ll see. if Allen played like this against Denver, we win in a blowout. Same thing with NE in the first half.

Even with his funny Geico commercial, Miller has as much trade value as OJ. I’m ready to be hurt again. I’ve taken being in the playoffs for granted now. It would suck not to be in them.

Again, and certainly not blaming Allen, I believe it was an option route. It seemed like the d back was inside leverage so Davis going outside, would have been a wide open td. I don’t listen to postgame but would love to hear the actual players and coach talk about what happened there.
