It’s hilarious people hate on EB without real reason. The Chiefs’’ offense has regressed tremendously without him and he has dollar general Baker Mayfield on pace for 5,000 yards. But clearly he has no idea about offense. I swear there are people on this board who hate certain types of qbs and coaches for very idiotic reasons. and McDermott isn’t getting fired. But EB and Ben Johnson should be the number 1 candidates.

Bills fans need to stop with the Mahomes-Allen comparisons at this point. It’s laughable. Imagine if the Bills traded Diggs away. Do we think Allen wins a MVP & SB? Mahomes is on a different level than almost any qb ever. mahomes has learned that your awesome arm isn’t all that you need to have to win games and take what the defense gives you. Allen is absolutely amazing but he still plays too much hero ball which puts this team in bad spots. I also know that’s what makes him great but our margin for error is so much smaller.

Haha, yeah. Now all we need are arguably the top 2 receivers in the nfl, a 1st round rb, and to play against college teams!!!! brady got fired after 4 games in the nfl. Huge difference between the nfl and college. By all accounts, he’s a good and charismatic guy. But you aren’t going to magically have a different offense. You need to call/ encourage Allen to run more, stop constant shotgun, giving up on your best rb early in games, and take shots. LSU has more offensive talent than most nfl teams had that year.

Still get to work with a top 3 qb. That should be attractive enough.

True but I do think given the success, McDermott will get another crack at picking an OC unless Brady does a great job. But man, 2 out of his 3 choices sucked.

I get why Cleveland wanted Watson. He was a top 5 qb and they have a very talented roster. On paper, it’s a SB team. But I don’t get how you make that move with all the stuff hanging over Watson. sad part is they are having a better season than us wirh bottom 5 qb play. It’s wild that Josh Dobbs is swinging playoff races.

I generally agree with this. It’s what happened with Mahomes but they adjusted. I think the book is that Allen will give you the ball if you take away the big plays. but completion % has become the most garbage stat in a vacuum. Basically if you are under 65% in college, it’s a major red flag. If you are under like 63/64% in the nfl now, it’s a huge red flag. But the rules are set up for guys to have insane completion %. I think Trent Edwards has the highest 2nd year completion % ever. Cousins always wins completion % and they haven’t missed a best since he left. I think Lamar (“the rb”) leads the nfl now. It’s a dumb stat without context. The second something goes wrong, he looks like he lost his puppy. He needs to fix that. I know how much Allen cares. He’s a warrior but the team feeds off their qbs body language.

I won’t say he’s a mental midget and he’s a top 3 qb so we are not picking. But he hasn’t been top 3 level this year and now that he is making that type of money, he is going to get held to a different standard. it’s funny a lot of posters love to hate on Lamar and Cam. They “can’t read defenses.” They are just running backs. Yet, now the talk is Allen needs to run more and is needs to read defenses better.

I can’t stand how people over to overstate things to make a silly point. No one with a brain is saying Allen is broken. Mahomes is having the worst season of his career. Yet, he is coming off his second MVP and SB championship after trading Tyreek Hill and throwing to maybe the worst receivers in the nfl. Allen is playing good but we need him to be great. But let’s stop with the Mahimes comparisons because it’s silly at this point.

He’s worst this year with Bill O’Brien. Dude has like 5 good games in the nfl. He was never going to be good. He will get hired the second they fire him. While this provides that the “Patriot Way” was basically having Brady, man boobs is still a good coach. Just an awful GM. If he went to a team with a good GM and qb, he’d be great.

They are the Jauron Bills (actually worst). They won’t hit complete rock bottom to get a franchise changing qb so they will settle for scrubs like Jones. I’ve never been happier than when they picked him. Dude for propped up by superstars at every position and he acts like he’s Brady.

Losing to that dork Mac Jones might be the worst loss of the Allen era. I just keep having visions of those nerds doing the griddy on us. I’m now furious again.

Good post. This happened to the Chiefs last year and people starting question in their offense fell off. But then Mahomes and Reid adjusted. also, I heard that Allen was 6th in qb rushing yards which is wild. We have neutered one of his greatest strengths. Haha, yeah, I feel bad because the nfl never helps the offense!!!! maybe when scrubs start passing for 4,000/ 5,000 yards, it might be time to balance things out. And smart coaches/ qbs will find ways to beat this as well. tight end are cover 2 killers.
