Addressing the "Josh Allen is TO machine" narrative
C.Biscuit97 replied to FireChans's topic in The Stadium Wall
You’re losing it buddy. You are having temper tantrums because some posters, who have all said Allen is a top 3, rightly have said Allen gets loose with ball and the bills aren’t this tire fire around him that you make them out to be. And instead of saying yeah Allen could be a little more careful with the ball at times, your response is “you hate Josh Allen.” It’s weird. Why do you hate Josh Allen??? -
So I guess you’re not 🙄 I’m disappointed. You are a doctor. you do realize that points can occur in many different ways - turnovers, special teams, turnovers that put the defense, etc. to blindly use points is pretty stupid. but again, I’m sure the Bears having the biggest defensive turn around in the nfl has nothing to do with getting a new MLB. 🙄😉
-
I’d like to think you are smart enough to know why yards/ game is a better stat to use than points/ game to evaluate defense. few questions: so the bears haven’t made an improvement in defense this year? the bills defense hasn’t regressed a bit? are MLBs important players in a defense? did the Bills have multiple seasons of top 3 defenses with Edmunds? Is MLB typical a sack positions (since weird people like using sack stats again Edmunds. And I get ints, but TE has 2 this year)? Im fine with going after guys who were trash people when they were here. TE barely talked and had zero issues here and was so really good Ds here. I think our defense is not as good this year and I like TB. But for the best fanbase to go after a guy who did nothing wrong here over and over again seems tacky and corny. I’ll let Gabe Davis know this is coming for him next year.

Addressing the "Josh Allen is TO machine" narrative

Dude, you’re a child. I hate the Allen pick because I say he’s a top 3 qb; the Bills have been a good organization; and he turnovers the ball over a bit too much (which is a proven stat). Oh my god, I’m just a hater. I root for the Buffalo Bills. I stopped rooting for players a long time again and don’t form emotional attachments like you apparently do. I really really like Allen (but you only said he was top 3 you meanie!). Met him a few times. Great guy. But guess what? He doesn’t care about you. He’s going to do what’s best for Allen. He is getting paid $250 million. Expectations are extremely high now. He is going to have to carry this team because we don’t have the cap space to load it up like we have. everything I say on here is fact. Allen leads in turnovers since he was drafted. He is really good so you take some of them. But have the turnovers hurt us? Yes. Stop being emotional and go for a walk outside -

If you don’t think KC has a worst group of playmakers, you’re simply not being honest Gabe Davis would be the best receiver on KC by millions. And taking age/ contract/ injuries in mind, I’m not so sure the majority of GMs won’t take Kincaid over Kelce at this point either. I agree the other groups besides Baltimore are better and that’s why I think Allen is better than all those qbs (I lean toward Allen over Burrow because Allen is more dynamic). But you keep pushing this false narrative that Allen is surrounded by bums. A top 5 wr and TE is pretty good. 2nd round rb. A good oline. No major injuries. You act like we are the Carolina Panthers. -
Nix seems like a good dude but I think it is laughable he got to play this long. He is a dink and dunker. He got to play 60 gsmes in college. That insane. I do wish there was some minor league program where qbs could play. I would watch Tre Lance go against Zack Wilson in the spring. Nix is a backup at best though he could probably operate SF’s system. But his arm isn’t good enough long term. and I love Penix but those injuries are insanely scary and he threw to a nfl receiving core. And it’s so sad that stupid money had to ruin the Pac12. Loved that conference and loved betting against them when they played physical teams in other conference. So soft. USC and UCLA are going to get bullied in Northwestern in December on the road

Addressing the "Josh Allen is TO machine" narrative
C.Biscuit97 replied to FireChans's topic in The Stadium Wall
Yeah, the only stat that matters is fumbles. Fumble recovering is total luck. You just can’t put the ball on the ground ever. Ints are not all the same, like an end of the half Hail Mary. -
It’s so true! the Bills defense has dropped 5 places this year. Fun fact, a defense ranked ahead of them are the Bears, who weee the 4th worst defense in the entire nfl last year and are now top 10. now I’m not as a same as some of you. But I think MLBs are an important part of a defense. This is a crazy thought but maybe the MLB who was part of almost exclusively top 5 defenses here and helped the bears improve almost 15 spots might be a good player. this backhand Edmund’s sucks comments sucks. Obviously, he got overpaid but he’s a good dude and player. And I like TB. I still worry about him holding up long term and think he would be even better as a OLB.

You’re not funny. And I’ll compare my exist to yours any day of the week (my dad can beat up your dad).

Addressing the "Josh Allen is TO machine" narrative

This is the problem. Are you a fan of the bills or Josh Allen? Like this is kind of weird and I should alert Allen? Any slight (the horror of saying Allen is a top 3 qb but can be inconsistent at times! 😱) makes you react like a soccer mom talking about their kid. Allen had a 69.5 qb rating against the Texans with 2 fumbles (https://www.pro-football-reference.com/boxscores/202001040htx.htm) and made some wild decision making. And it was his first playoff start so it is completely understandable. But if you can’t admit that he wasn’t that great that game, you might be more in love with him than Haley. but yes going forward, nothing will ever be Josh Allen’s fault. With him taking up 40% of the cap space, we just need a figure a way to get Chase and Jefferson here somehow. Allen has the most turnovers in the league. The Bills are 6-6 and lost games to the Jets and Pats. Allen is the best player on the bills. The turnovers have not helped our record. Can we at least agree on that? -
Your ability to read sarcasm is duly noted.

1 - there was no salary cap in 90s 2 - the bills made the playoffs in Allen’s second year when he was very raw still and was a major reason we lost that playoff game to Houston. 3 - the defense has ranked 6th, 2nd, 1st, 16th, & 2nd in points allowed since Allen has been here. zero question Allen is our best player and a top 3 qb. But to act like this is some garbage team surround him is just wrong. The offense has been remarkably healthy this year but has been super inconsistent. I don’t know any reasonable fan can deny that. -
Von Miller faces arrest in domestic violence case in Dallas

At the absolute least, he is guilty of being in a very terrible situation that both should get out of, and the bills should be able to get out of his contract. Might be the worst one in the history of this team and that’s saying something. -
I don’t think the Bills should have signed Von Miller. Worried this contract might aged poorly.

Yeah because isn’t it social justice what people complain about being too soft on crime? but instant reactions to any story without the full facts is very dumb. -

Define the term “social justice” without looking it up. So mango was right about coked Von! and if he did it, he’s a garbage human being and needs to go to prison. And not going to victim shame but maybe marry a stripper isn’t the best idea in the first place. No offense to the good hardworking ladies out there, -

You know it won’t be the outrage of that other situation. You are a liar id you say otherwise. fans cared more about that than Joe Mixon and Tyreek Hill combined. -

This organization also helped Allen get to where he is as well. This team had some of the best SB odds of any team this offseason. Let’s not pretend like Allen is on the Pats. allen is amazing but he is going to be under scrutiny because he is making $45 million/ year and the roster will be limited now because of that. Allen’s good is as good as any qb in the nfl. But we need to stop pretending he plays like that every week. It has been very inconsistent this season and he is part of the reason. Not all but it’s wild how so many just give him a pass (awesome pun). Hopefully with Brady, we will see more Eagles games than Broncos ones (where he was absolutely terrible). -

I agree and there’s a long way to go. But things close fast in the nfl. Allen is making big boy money so we aren’t going to be able to load up like we have in the past. It’s going to be on him more than ever. bills fans love hating on Cam Newton (who I think favors Allen a lot even though they are different races and you can’t compare them! 🥴). Newton set rookie passing records; won a MVP with Ted Ginn as his number 1 receiver (he would have killed for Allen’s weapons); and went to a SB with Ron Rivera (McDermott is the far superior coach). Then like 2 years later, he was done. It can happen so fast, -
Wow, what a great guy he is. If people were like Tyreek, this would be the best country ever!

I’m starting to think those two might not be good for each other, -
His numbers have gotten better every year. Last year, they were murdering teams so he didn’t get to stat pad like other qbs. This year with a first time OC (we just fired one of those), there has been an adjustment period. Now he is showing he is able to come back against the best teams. again, Heisman trophy finalist; mostly likely at worst back to back mvp finalist; 400 yards in the SB. Yeah, he is like Tyrod as Alex Smith is to Brady.

That’s how bad the refs are. They can’t even cheat good enough to make the Cowboys win. also, when did the Cowboys become Americans Team? They have been Bengals in the last 30 years.

AP - According to a source (Mango from TBD), Miller was on cocaine and waited to turn himself into police. He also wasn’t wearing his glasses, which is a clear sign of guilt.
