  1. Elite pass rusher >>>> oline and receiver. Those groups can be very easily found in the draft. The Steeelrs rarely ever draft receiver high (I think JuJu, who we passed on, might be their highest drafted Wr in a long time) but they always can find guys. In in terms of nfl team construction, the hardest positions to find are qb, pass rusher, and cb. The rest of the positions can fall into place after you have those other pieces. Mack wrecks teams by himself and he loves Buffalo. I would have definitely given up the 9th this year and hopefully something like the 20th (fingers crossed) or so next year. Honestly, it’s pretty much a no brainer. True but he became the player he is at UB. The only reason a guy from Florida ends up at UB is because he wasn’t that great in high school.
  2. Of course, Peters is the better player. I was referring to the situation as being somewhat similar in terms of position moves. The Bills gave Peters a solid contract after a year of playing RT. He moved to LT, was great, and immediately debated a LT salary. Look at the a erave salaries by position: https://www.spotrac.com/nfl/positional/. $8 million for a LT, $5 million for a RT, and $3 million for a G. If I was him or his agent, I won’t just let a position switch happen. I have a problem knowing how good Alabama o line and slime players are because they are completely surrounded by 5 star players. A lot of guys who would be very average nfl players could be very good at Alabama. Isn’t there a knock on Williams’ arm length? Also, is he a grinder?
  3. It seems like it should be easy but I feel like it’s tougher than it appears. It requires a lot more reading of progressions. But the opposite of this is Tom Brady, possibly the best qb ever, loves the checkdown.
  4. Haha, maybe I over exaggerate but they are so frustrating. They operate like a small market team (because of their owner got taken to the cleaners) and they always seem to sign guys I hate to contracts that they will never live up to (Jay Bruce, Todd Frazier). They brought back Jose Reyes, after “allegedly “ beating his wife, and played him all season while he was batting like .175. And they somehow only went 10-9 in one of the greatest pitching seasons in modern history with Degrom. i think what makes it so frustrating is because I was kinda both a causal Mets/ Indians fan growing up in Buffalo (both were farm teams of the Bisons) but really dove in head first with the Mets because I spend so much time in NYC. Honestly, I get when a small market like Buffalo struggles. But it’s crazy when a big market team sucks.
  5. That will be the best stretch of Foster’s career. I hope I’m wrong.
  6. With all due respect (and I hope you know I do respect you as a poster although I have become a little more skeptical of things), how is it hard to criticize? Literally, Peterman was the worst qb in nfl history to play multiple games. Starting him in 2017 could have been the reason the missed the playoffs. Yet, not only do hey keep him, they bring him Back as a starter and the only other qb on the roster. He sucks so bad, they are forced to play Allen. Then, Allen gets hurt and they are finally forced to address the qb position. and the biggest excuse I hear for Allen is how bad the talent was around hkm. This regime is the reason for the lack of talent around him! Trading up and drafting Zay instead of taking JuJu or Kupp. Trading multiple picks for fat Kelvin after being with him in Carolina when he was fat Kelvin! Drafting Austin Prohel because they are friends with his dad. Paying a backup 30 year old rb $3 million. So yeah, there’s plenty to criticize them for. also, they better not be content with the qb position because we have two backups with a worst qb ratings than EJ Manuel. Never stop looking for qbs!!!
  7. Golden Tate would never come here unless we massively overpay. Love Butler.
  8. Yup. It’s such a separate skill than most other athletic ones. Honestly, this is probably no lose for Murray. If he flames out in football, a baseball team will sign him for the PR alone. For god sakes, Tim Tebow is going to camp with the Mets (As a Mets fan, they are way more embarrassing than the Bills).
  9. Tavon Austin is never going to be good. He is one of the worst draft picks in recent history. That’s a lot of money invested in non star receivers. I like both players but not at what they are going to get paid at. There are guys just as good in this draft much, much cheaper.
  10. Yup. That’s why I won’t want them to over spend on free agency on a guy. Draft a couple guys from this year’s group and let them develop. i also wanted JuJu instead of Zay and ESB instead of Ray Ray and they could have a sick group but I’m an idiot.
  11. Is that picture real? Becoming a body builder (naturally haha) killed Biston’s Career. He became too big and slow. It’s very rare a receiver gets this big and it is good for them.
  12. I think character becomes less important when you need to win. Personally, I’d rather lose than root for scumbags. Especially with how easy it is to find a rb.
  13. I mean it’s the Browns, so it’s not like a real nfl team signed him anyways.
  14. Good for him for choosing what he wants to do and not listening to others. Dude was awesome in college. But man, it’s hard to see a guy like this holding up when guys like Big Ben, Newton, and Allen get hurt. It will take some mega balls to draft him. I would love Tyree Jackson of UB in the later rounds. Perfect developmental guy, who could be the next Logan Thomas if he can’t make it as a qb. Wilson is also Thicc.
  15. We are definitely signing Funchess. Just accept it. and honestly, none of these guys are going to be worth what they will get. I would draft multiple receivers in this draft.
  16. Yeah, I have very little confidence in their offensive moves. They have a ton to prove. It blows my mind why every team doesn’t go into a season with 1) their starter 2) their veteran backup 3) their development guy. Why would would ever settle at the qb position blows my mind. obviously, I wasn’t a fan of the Allen pick. But I hoped they would be smarter than previous Bills teams in their development of him. They weren’t. This is a make or break year for them.
  17. Good post. But that move inside could cost him a lot of money in the future.
  18. I hate to say it, but if he got moved to G, and I was his agent, I’d wait until after the draft and free agency and have him hold out. It sucks but it’s still a business.
  19. Honestly, if they both concentrated on their roles, the Jets could be good. I think Gase is a much better offensive coach than he is given credit for. And as big of a douche as he is, Double G Greg is a good DC. But he’s an idiot and I’m sure will cause some problems this year. But on “paper,” it’s not a bad staff if Gregg will play his role (which he probably won’t).
  20. I guess the other thing to think about is if you’re Dawkins, why would you ever be ok moving from T to G, especially LT? An average LT makes more than a good G. This could be a mini Peters type situation.
  21. Gunner, in this country, you only have two choices. Everything is either the worse or best, black or white, wrong or right. There is no such thing as gray areas.
  22. Definitely agree with regards to taller guys. But you can get by easy as a lesser G than T because you are surrounded on both sides. Besides chilling with TEs and RBs, you are more alone on an island at OT. Personally, I think Dawkins is fine at OT, though RT might be his best position. I think some people think because of his attitude, he could be a mauler type G. But I freely admit I don’t really pay attention to oline play.
  23. It seems like you’re all over the place. You say the oline had a ton of weaknesses yet Miller only allowed one sack. Wouldn’t that make that more impressive?
  24. I don’t think it’s nearly as simple as you are making it out to be. There have been plying o linemen that struggled, went to a a new team, and became solid players.
