  1. Wow, if the Cards don’t draft Murray at this point, they are the greatest poker players ever. Personally, and I know gruden doesn’t think like this, I load up on another skill player and draft a qb later in the first and give Carr one more year.
  2. I’m terrified of Metcalf but him being a number 2 there could be pretty nasty.
  3. I agree about Carr but he has put up some numbers. With all their picks, they could have a good team if they don’t implode.
  4. Strongly disagree. I thought Jay was a really borderline good TE for us. Of course, now I just looked up the stats and he was the definition of average. Amazing how you remember things when you’re young.
  5. He was before my time and I know he was the QB of 4 SB winners, but his numbers kinda sucked. https://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/B/BradTe00.htm
  6. In a country full of fake patriots, he was about as true as they come. What percentage of Americans give up millions of dollars playing a sport to serve the country? What a hero. RIP and can’t believe how fast the years pass.
  7. Not to disagree with Moulds, but I’m not sure how true this is (also, there seems like there could be a Mississippi bias here). When Moulds played, it was more important to have these big physical guys. When NE looks at receivers, they want guys who can get open and there have been a bunch of big names who got cut there because they couldn’t do it. imo, Metcalf would do best where he is the clear number 2.
  8. http://www.nfl.com/draft/history/fulldraft?type=position&position=OL just 6 years ago, Cooper and Womack went top 10 as G’s. but If you had to choose between Jonah and TJ, who do you go with? I just really want a difference maker at TE. Much like receiver, we have a bunch of 2, 3, & 4 guys. We need a 1.
  9. I think this season has clearly shown Tim Murray was the problem! ? gotta be pretty cool to collect money while not working while your stock goes up.
  10. For all their faults I have with heir running of the franchises, I have zero questions of their love of Buffalo and wanting to build a winner. They just don’t know how to yet but I’m confident they will in time. Plus, I’m a big fan of Kim. ?
  11. You don’t think Bama isn’t top of the line for this?
  12. Good job by his agent. Trust me, I’m not questioning his work ethic but there’s a reason this got out. Good post and it’s a good question. Do want solid or superstar but bust potential? I think at worst Williams becomes a solid to good G. Alabama o linemen are so hard to predict because they play next to 5 star recruits every where.
  13. Rex was forced on Whaley. People honestly think Whaley wanted a coach who would completely change a top 3 defense? And while EJ and Sammy are with the stupid Chiefs, there are plenty of other Whaley guys doing awesome in the nfl.
  14. O line has a higher bust rate then some people want to admit. and I’m not banging the table for TJ. The last TE I loved was Hunter Henry. I’m just sick of the Bills neglecting such an important position. Gronk and Kelce were a lot more important to their team’s success than their RTs.
  15. Are their bigger cowards than anonymous sources? These guys talk real reckless about 21 years old when they can’t even put their name on it. You can hear the bitterness of how these guys lives turned out in this comments. And it’s overrated but I’m really starting to like Butler. I hope he makes it to the 2nd. Do you know about his times in the shuttle? I love Stanford guys but he seemed more like a jump ball guy than actual starting nfl receiver. This is where I’m at at. I just saw a show with him and he seems like a great dude but I think people are in love with stuff that doesn’t matter in being a successful receiver.
  16. Good catch but it’s like NE shouldn’t be compared to other teams in some respects. Also, IMO, Those Yeldon type guys are more important to Brady because of how he attacks a defense. Im nervous that Daboll is trying to build NE’s offense (dink and dunk) when it doesn’t really fit Allen.
  17. But how the hell do you know that? If you knew Gronk and Gates would be those players, they won’t have gone top 10? Do Kittles or Kelce not go in the 3rd round and go top 10 if you knew how good they were? At the same point, Julio Jones had less tds than Ridley. Sometimes, a great player draws coverages away to make things easier for another player. Honestly, I don’t have an idea who is necessarily the better player but some stats can be misleading.
  18. That’s such a great question. I was on the Bulaga train before his draft. I think he’s a solid RT when he plays but he’s always hurt. But when you look back at that draft, there were so many bigger impact players than a solid RT. But you need to invest in your franchise qb. Great question. obviously, there are many factors at play but I would like a franchise changing player in the top 10 - Qb, pass rusher, play maker.
  19. He also traded down, got an extra pick that become Kiko (runner up for DPoY), who blew his knee and was still traded for McCoy. And for all the hate EJ gets, guess who has a higher rookie qb rating him or Allen (in no way I’m saying Allen won’t be better but facts do matter). youre my guy Bill but when you don’t like something, you ignore all the positives. Whaley has his faults but man, some of you go completely overboard. I bet after his first year or 2, we had a lot of similar posts about how good he was like we do with McBeane. side note, another Buffalo GM got trashed when he got fired in Tim Murray. Well, clearly he was the problem as the Sabres regressed in points, a goalie he traded for was one of the best, Kane was a 30 goal scorer, and O’Reilly had a career year. Similar to all those terrible players Whaley picked starting for other teams on the nfl. P.S. 2017 Qb draft was considered a bad one and not as good as 2018 yet the top 3 of 2017 might be the best of the two classes.
  20. How dare you forget about the great Lee Smith? what I don’t get is why don’t bad teams copy what good teams do. The Pats constantly spend picks on TEs and sign FA TEs. That’s why I liked the Clay signing. It was at least an effort. When you have a young qb, you need a big target in the middle of field. I really like Beasley but he wasn’t as effective without Witten.
  21. I don’t know a ton about TJ. However, IMo, it is a lot harder to find a game changing TE than a Jonah Williams. We neglect TE almost as much as QB. Would be nice to have a big mismatch who can help out with blocking for a change.
  22. They should have traded him last year. His value is at an all time low. Better off just keeping him now. I mean, most teams should operate like this. There aren’t many players on this roster who shouldn’t be untouchable. I mean you don’t see the difference in comparing the Bills and the Pats? But I get your point. Yeldon is fine in a role. I will say, one of McCoy’s best abilities is his role in the passing game. Do we want McCoy off the field on passing downs?
  23. It’s a fine signing but I don’t think they know how position value works. Is there another team in the nfl that has 3 veteran rbs making million plus? If there was ever a position you go young and cheap in, it’s rb. Like i said, Yeldon is an ok player but it’s weird how they value the position. I’d rather spend a 4th or lower on a Bryce Love who has more upside and costs way less.
  24. 1) Whaley and McBeane has the same record after 2 years. 2) if Whaley was really running the draft, the Pegulas are terrible owners. 3) there were plenty of reports of Whaley loving Watson before the draft.
  25. He had 2 good games against the Jets and was a spineless sack of ?.
