No offense, but why do we always have to do this? Been happy with the pick but knock another player? And if Oliver has close to the start of his career than Dareus did, he will be amazing. I think people underestimate how good Dareus was before he got paid.

I try not to overreact to a 1st qb but man, this guy seems like a disaster. OBJ is an idiot but why do you sign him to take a cap hit? Why do you let Collins walk and then trade for a player who is a lesser version of him? Why do you take a qb #6 overall who could have been there in the 2nd or later? Why not just trade a 2nd or 3rd for Rosen, who IMO would have been the 2nd QB in this class? A funny line line I heard was Jones looks like the guy cast to play Eli Manning in a movie about Peyton Manning.

I think Murphy is more of a Bills type corner. Honestly, I know he’s from LSU and has a great name but Greedy seems overrated. But yeah, I don’t really want a cb there.

Riddick should have a job in the nfl. He is great at what he does. And I watched the ABc coverage. It was super cheesy but they were trying to appeal to a larger audience so I get it. As much as I like the draft, a lot of people (my lady) think it is the dumbest thing ever.

Good summary Gunner. I still worry about DK as a number receiver. He is a one trick pony but I certainly get why it would be a good value pick in the second. Lots of good players. For Receiver, I like Hakeem Butler and A.J. brown better than Metcalf. I also get why you take the T from Florida. And even though it’s our last need, Murphy from Washington is tough. Honestly, the second and third rounds will be more exciting. Last night was a snooze fest.

After getting Oliver in the 1st, this would have been a dream 2nd rounder. I’d loved this dude as a prospect for the last 2 years. In a weird it’s good he went to the Pats because I sadly just assume losses to them anyways.

For myself, I try to be a consistent person. I didn’t want the Bills to draft Josh Allen 1.0 so I struggled to be as excited as I wanted to be. I loved Oliver before the draft and I’m very excited that the Raiders and Giants did what they did. It is the first time the Bills did what I wanted so now I’m scared.

Well people are stupid. He would be at worst the 2nd QB in this draft. For as dumb as the Giants have been, ending up with Barkley and Rosen is a new start to rebuild.

I can’t state how much his qb sucked. I think he or Butler are the perfect compliments to our receivers. I heard someone say your receiving core should be like a basketball team. We need a C/ PF.

I’m not even trying to knock Beane but I think it is easier than ever to be a scout or GM. A lot of fans watch a ton of football and there is so much information out there. I think for most of us it’s a dream job but it’s not rocket science or surgery. Some of the football coaches I had were complete morons (with due respect).

Yeah, nfl GM and heart surgeon aren’t close to the same. Most of these guys get their jobs because they are friends with the right people (Bill Polian hooked up his som’s high school friends with NFL jobs; Todd Haley went to 3 colleges as a golfer but his dad worked with the Steelers). i think there are plenty of regular fans who could do well if given the opportunity to work in a nfl front office. Trust me, I would love to be wrong because it means we finally have a legit franchise guy.

You really are comfortable with our receiving core because I’m not? We have a very low end 2 (Brown) and a bunch of 3 & 4s. I mean you could hope Foster or Jones step up but that’s pretty risky thinking. We need a real number 1 type or at least one with size.

I get this but why can’t an average fan not make a better choice than Beane or any GM? Just because you have a job doesn’t make you an expert. I loved JuJu and would have taken him in 2017. We traded up for Zay. That looks wrong. Plenty of people wanted Ngata instead of Whitner. People wanted Russell Wilson. Just because you have a job title doesn’t make you infallible. Beane was an intern who worked his way up. Props to him but it’s not like he’s Bill Gates.
