I think this is kinda overrated at times. Foster and Brown are deep threats. Harry is a guy that gets one on one matchups and makes big plays down the field. Admittedly, I’ve been a big fan of his for 2 years but his qb was trash. Difference is TO was a 3rd round pick. DK terrifies me. I think he ends up being a Ted Ginn type player. Not terrible but not worth 9 overall.

If they don’t take a receiver early because of Brown and Beasley, then I will lost all hope in them. We have a roster of 3 and 4 type receivers. If you really want to give Allen everything he needs, you don’t settle for this group we have now. It’s still probably a bottom third group. They need a number 1 type guy. I’m not trying to come at you and respect your point. I just believe that the chance to make a roster here is why he signed. I think McDermott is a fine but average type of coach like most guys in the nfl are. Duke not going to LA has more to do with the fact he probably won’t make those teams than living in LA or the coach. And I don’t remember but what were the other teams and offers for Williams?

Harry of ASU or Butler of ISU.

I think Clark plays in a 4-3 and is pro typical DE whereas plays in a 3-4 where he is a DE/OLB who specializes in setting the edge (keep plays from bouncing outside him and back into the middle of the field). I could be wrong though. also, Bruce Smith was a 3-4 De which makes what he did even more amazing.

Haha. Good luck with that. IMO, you never buy a current players jersey. Go old school or just buy Bills stuff. My EJ and Sammy jerseys nod sadly.

Haha. I mean considering this is probably his last offseason on a nfl roster, he should enjoy himself. I’d trade him for Hunter Renfrow in a second.

Also, who were the bad contracts? Dareus I assume. Guess what? An all pro DT gets paid a lot of money. The same people saying how bad the Dareus contract was are the same ones who would have cried if we let him walk for nothing. Some breaking news here: good players cost money. I would take a motivated Dareus on his contract over Star on his.

I take it all back now that Greg Jennings is one of the major sources. Dude has not been bitter at all since he left GB and had a ton of success on his other teams. it is a well written article but it is completely one sided. Jordy Nelson said it is nonsense. And even if it is completely true, I still take Rodgers over every single person who criticized him. -
Hughes isn’t worth that. He’s going be 31 and has 22 sacks in his last 4 years. It was a great trade but I’m very good with letting him walk at that crazy price. And plastic face Jones is insane. He loves him some dudes who are always a threat to get suspended. DL is very good but I would be really nervous paying him that.

God what an embarrassing discussion that was (Team Hogan). If a guy can get open, he has a future. Best of luck to him. -
Yup and I was in that group. He might not work out but I won’t mind a 6’5” burner in the 6th round. This regime has a lot to prove on their ability to scout receivers. He wasn’t even a better slot receiver at Clemson than a 30 year old guy who looks a future professor. I hated the Ray Ray pick as much as I’ve hated any 6th round pick in a long time for us. I watched a bunch of Clemson games and he never had any big moves. Even worse is he acts like he is some star. If our receivers are improved, he shouldn’t be on the roster.

Schein: "Buffalo Bills, Cinderella team?"

He never says anything bad about the Bills. He is the one national media guy who loves us. He used to talk about Dick Jauron being a coach of the year. He must have gotten lucky one time in Buffalo. -
Did we land a top 5 GM in Beane?
C.Biscuit97 replied to Inigo Montoya's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I actually think this would be very interesting. I’ve joked the McDermott is Beane’s boss. But if it came down to it, could Beane fire McDermott to keep his job? Totally agree it’s all about Allen. But there is zero reason why he had to go into the season with only Peterman and Allen as qbs and that garbage receiving core. Im not saying he should get fired but saying top 5 now is borderline laughable. -

I don’t remember hearing about any problems of Rodgers being a leader earlier in his career. Then he became the best qb in the nfl and probably got an ego. And he knew he had a garbage coach. It happens all the time. Brady and Belichick butt heads. No matter how good a coach is, the great qb should probably win. -

McCarthy wasn’t even that good of an OC https://www.pro-football-reference.com/coaches/McCaMi0.htm the QB is always going to win. Rodgers is much, much, much better at his job than McCarthy. McCarthy should be grateful for Rodgers for carrying him all these years. -

Oh my god. The mess is the most overrated thing ever. Our best players were guys Whaley got. We could have kept Sammy. Dareus got traded in the middle of a playoff race that caused a bunch of dead money. They traded for that fat slob Benjamin. They keep Peterman on the roster and starting him. They waited until the middle of the season to get veteran qbs. i just hope we can stop with the excuses. But saying a 7-9 team was a mess is such BS. -

Well said. Plenty of awful teams have good culture. There are girl’s youth soccer teams that have good culture of drinking juice boxes after games that never score goals. Winning = culture -

He has the same exact record as Doug Whaley after 2 years. Would anyone take the current roster over the 2015 one? Im happy people are optimistic. That’s awesome. But this is kinda nuts. We had the second worst offense in the nfl last year. We started Nathan Peterman. They gave up picks for Benjamin who was a fat slob when they had him in Carolina. Our receivers were a joke last year. Again, it’s all on Allen. If he turns into a franchise qb, Beane (and McDermott) will be remembered fondly. If not, he will just be another failed GM.
