Yup and I was in that group. He might not work out but I won’t mind a 6’5” burner in the 6th round. This regime has a lot to prove on their ability to scout receivers. He wasn’t even a better slot receiver at Clemson than a 30 year old guy who looks a future professor. I hated the Ray Ray pick as much as I’ve hated any 6th round pick in a long time for us. I watched a bunch of Clemson games and he never had any big moves. Even worse is he acts like he is some star. If our receivers are improved, he shouldn’t be on the roster.

Schein: "Buffalo Bills, Cinderella team?"
C.Biscuit97 replied to HansLanda's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
He never says anything bad about the Bills. He is the one national media guy who loves us. He used to talk about Dick Jauron being a coach of the year. He must have gotten lucky one time in Buffalo. -
Did we land a top 5 GM in Beane?
C.Biscuit97 replied to Inigo Montoya's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I actually think this would be very interesting. I’ve joked the McDermott is Beane’s boss. But if it came down to it, could Beane fire McDermott to keep his job? Totally agree it’s all about Allen. But there is zero reason why he had to go into the season with only Peterman and Allen as qbs and that garbage receiving core. Im not saying he should get fired but saying top 5 now is borderline laughable. -
Ty Dunne: What Happened in Green Bay

I don’t remember hearing about any problems of Rodgers being a leader earlier in his career. Then he became the best qb in the nfl and probably got an ego. And he knew he had a garbage coach. It happens all the time. Brady and Belichick butt heads. No matter how good a coach is, the great qb should probably win. -

McCarthy wasn’t even that good of an OC https://www.pro-football-reference.com/coaches/McCaMi0.htm the QB is always going to win. Rodgers is much, much, much better at his job than McCarthy. McCarthy should be grateful for Rodgers for carrying him all these years. -

Oh my god. The mess is the most overrated thing ever. Our best players were guys Whaley got. We could have kept Sammy. Dareus got traded in the middle of a playoff race that caused a bunch of dead money. They traded for that fat slob Benjamin. They keep Peterman on the roster and starting him. They waited until the middle of the season to get veteran qbs. i just hope we can stop with the excuses. But saying a 7-9 team was a mess is such BS. -

Well said. Plenty of awful teams have good culture. There are girl’s youth soccer teams that have good culture of drinking juice boxes after games that never score goals. Winning = culture -

He has the same exact record as Doug Whaley after 2 years. Would anyone take the current roster over the 2015 one? Im happy people are optimistic. That’s awesome. But this is kinda nuts. We had the second worst offense in the nfl last year. We started Nathan Peterman. They gave up picks for Benjamin who was a fat slob when they had him in Carolina. Our receivers were a joke last year. Again, it’s all on Allen. If he turns into a franchise qb, Beane (and McDermott) will be remembered fondly. If not, he will just be another failed GM. -

1 - can Allen have an ego at this point? If he gets to Rodgers level, I won’t be surprised if he wants to control more of the way things are run. All great qbs do. 2 - McCarthy sucked. He wasn’t a good coach. He kept the Toupee as his DC for way too long. He wasn’t even that good of an OC. He ruined Rodgers’ career. If Rodgers wasn’t so good, McCarthy would have been fired years ago. One of the worst coaches in the nfl. -
Whoops, forgot about Barkley haha. And I meant 3rd round or later. ACLs aren’t nearly as bad anymore.

I just think you gamble on his talent. He might have been the first back taken last year. If you really care about money, you should never go back to school when you have a chance to leave.

That’s part of the city flag. Love the idea but it’s not their best hat.
-
Fair points. But it’s how Stanford uses their backs. They just ride their Star. If Love gets 10-15 touches/ game, I feel like he could be awesome in that role and it would serve his body well. The only shame about having Love is he couldn’t be 69. ? I would put money on him going before the 6th.

Josh Allen's hurdle wins GMFB's play of the year

Do they give other 6-10 teams love? When the Bills are good, the national media loves us. But we normally aren’t good. We need to stop with the persecution complex. National folks talk about good or dysfunctional teams. We aren’t good bad we’re kinda boring right now. It’s pretty simple. -
Julio Jones doesn't care about being highest paid WR
C.Biscuit97 replied to Herc11's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Good point. I force trades all the time in Madden. Teams will eventually say yes. -
Does he though? In a weird way, him getting injured this year saved his body. This guy was so awesome and now he’s getting penalized because he cared about his education. I would love a guy like this in the 3rd or later. Perfect compliment to our old man stable. he will never be a workhouse back but he could be a very valuable playmaker a la Kamara.

Giants looking at defense at #6 in draft?
C.Biscuit97 replied to Inigo Montoya's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Disagree. I believe every media report pre draft. It is a smart move to let everyone know your draft plans. -
I had no idea what you were talking about but what a crazy story! https://www.google.com/amp/s/syndication.bleacherreport.com/amp/2691105-titans-ol-quinton-spain-allegedly-drugged-robbed-by-woman-met-at-orlando-club.amp.html it happened in Orlando, so it wasn’t exactly a big place. But maybe LA might be a little too much for him.
