  1. I always like the Bills in the McD/Allen era after they come off a bad loss and the media and fans are pouncing on them. They play better with a chip on their shoulders. Bills 27 Bucs 20
  2. I can’t have Allen running around in circles in the backfield, not throw, then get walloped to the ground. Needs to get the ball out and into tight NFL windows.
  3. Sunday is looking like: High 45, winds 15-25mph, chance rain 50-70%. Cloudy. Rain showers likely before 1pm, then some rain and snow showers persist. Should be an advantage for the QB with the big hands. On the football side, it sounds like Gabe Davis has the answers. He said the Bills collectively have forgotten how hard it is to win, and need to get back to playing to their standards.
  4. That's all cool. Mike McDaniel still sounds like he's slurring his words in his pressers. He just sounds wasted more often than not, to me.
  5. It's just weird seeing college football (and even high school) still use traditional kickoffs, and the NFL has instituted this wacky XFL play. I'm not saying it's wrong, just strange. I've seen several KO returners get lit up this season. The collisions with the returners are still bone crunching. Maybe it leads to fewer hard collisions between blockers.
  6. I'd like to them throw more sideways passes to Shakir...which I'm sure Tampa is not expecting at all. Also, maybe utilize Hawes and Gilliam as a focal point of the offense.
  7. This handshake thing is so corny, but hey if that's what they need to get things going and feel good, have at it.
  8. You think we are the Eagles or Packers on D? We aren't stopping anybody. I expect Baker to find wide open guys in the soft belly of the zones. All day. Offense needs to show up this week.
  9. I don't think it's a thing, because mixed in there he had a record setting completion% game and great QBR (averaging 10.5 y/a) against a solid Kansas City defense. But against the Panthers? meh, he missed some throws but didn't really need him. Against Atlanta and Miami? terrible in the 1st halves when the game was still there for the taking. It's like the whole team including Allen didn't put in the preparation.
  10. By the eye test I'm not seeing it. Maybe they racked up a bundle of them in 3 of their 9 games, I dunno. In any event, if no Kincaid that hurts even more since he's good for a few chunk plays in a game.. He's become an injury prone player.
  11. He's certainly better today, than I thought he'd be at this point in his young career. He's got to be careful running, as you say. We just saw Dart get concussed and it's obviously a pretty bad one having to miss this weeks game. Stroud got concussed running two weeks ago, he's still not right. It's a serious thing.
  12. Other than James Cook or Shakir breaking something huge, the Bills are one of the least explosive teams out there. That lends itself to lots of running, short passes, 10-12 play drives that have to be fairly PERFECT in order to score TDs. It also leads to close games entering the 4th Qtr where one error can cost you the game. It's a tough way to survive week to week. We are seeing the turnovers go against us at key moments and with a grind it out team like Buffalo that's a killer.
  13. high motor white guy
  14. Aaron Rodgers said it a few years ago, that Josh gets into his own head. He made that off handed comment during their golf match. I never forgot it. I just think Josh loses confidence and his ability to rip the ball into NFL windows or drop it in the bucket. He not only doesn't trust the receivers,,,but also his own ability reading the defense, his footwork, and he's very concerned about making a mistake which may actually lead to more mistakes (INTs, fumbles, sacks). A QB like Matt Stafford has a poor series or two, he still comes out and chucks the ball all over the place...even in London when they only had one decent healthy WR and two tight ends that no one ever heard of. Stafford is mentally strong, maybe the best in the NFL. Josh struggles a bit with the mental game. I don't really think it's his wife like some are speculating here.
  15. As I've said to myself over the years if only Brady and Mahomes were never born. I blame their parents! 😄 It would have saved us so many years of Bills misery. I won't blame Hailee......yet.
  16. He will be a kicker in the NFL within a week. For various reasons teams move off kickers a few times per month.
  17. I agree with you as well. I'd like him to be a great pocket passer. It would help longevity. He throws some nice ones here and there. That late pass to Palmer in the Ravens comeback game might have been his best throw ever from the pocket. But the overall accuracy and touch on the football is not all that great. He has a howitzer, it's hard to dial it back.
  18. I'll double down and continue to say Josh is not a great pocket passer and the organization is trying to make him that. He's not Flacco or Brady back there. His magic is stepping up in the pocket, moving around, waiting for guys to break open and hitting them or taking off and running, burning the opponent that way.
  19. I was sitting in that nice Orchard Park snowfall in the Divisional round vs Cincinnati and that game was over 4 minutes in. I'll put that up there with the worst McDermott loss because they weren't even prepared on any unit of the team. Just a completely depressing evening of football from start to finish. In any event, I won't say McD is coaching for his job vs Tampa, but this is a classic Bills bounceback game. If he can't get the guys to be physical, play with that extra edge... and win the game, then he's lost the team.
  20. 100% yes. I would like to see Keon mostly off the field or inactive for this game. I bet the passing game would perform better.
  21. They might, but it’s only because they are due to lose a game they should win and the NFL can be unpredictable. They are definitely better than the NYJ.
  22. I saw some stat that through the first 10 games.. players in history to have 2,500+ passing yards, 70.0%+ completions, 250+ yds rushing, 5 or fewer INTs... is? Drake Maye. That's it, that's the list. He's god.
  23. The attempt to run with heavy personnel is all good. We have a great RB in Cook. The issue is that style of play will keep most opponents right in the game in the 4th Qtr. And then anything can happen. Maybe once a year you can blow a game open by getting some timely takeaways and breakaway runs. But that's not a script that works too often.
  24. Ugh, it's just cringy to watch this stuff. His effort when he's not involved in the play is also embarrassing. I can't believe Beane drafted this guy because he told some funny jokes in the combine meetings.
  25. Keon Coleman should be inactive this week. All the video I'm seeing on social media, breaking down everything about his game, is just awful. The Bills offense will be better simply by not having him out there. Yes, he had the one back shoulder TD, against a practice squad corner...and it took a perfect throw by Allen.
