and the Layoffs begin @ Pegula Sports

I dunno, i was just lazily remembering what I thought I saw in an article I just read. If bbb went back and looked it up, his numbers are probably more accurate than mine. -

These discussions are just wheel-spinning and discussions of "public persona" or "civic responsibility" are a waste of time. The Pegulas own both Buffalo teams and will continue to run both of those teams, as well as their other companies, however the hell they want to run them. Here is why this discussion is a waste of time and we saw it for years during the end of Ralph's ownership - If you don't like the Pegulas and how they run things, your only real option is to stop supporting their teams. Eventually, if they lose enough money because you don't like how the Pegulas run their businesses, they will sell those teams and most likely the new owners will move them to a larger market. OneBuffalo is a marketing scheme and not a real thing? Color me shocked! Ownership of a sports team is a public trust? Not really. @SeattleBills you obviously joined this board just to talk smack about the Pegulas, that's fine, it's a crusade and against the TOS, but I don't really care. The fact that you believe that your whining will accomplish anything is ridiculous though. You're also copying and pasting way more than just a few snippets from a paywall article, which isn't really allowed. Am I supposed to care that a business owner would choose their lifestyle over your employment? I like football, so I will buy Bills stuff because that's my team. -

They are reportedly losing 20-30M per year on the Sabres per Tim Graham -

Which one of those players was a top 5 pick? Bust is a relative term derived directly to draft position. If you get a 3rd-4th round talent and production from a top 5 pick, your pick was a bust. That label is as much for the FO that drafted them as it is for the player. Top 10 picks are supposed to change your franchise. -
Carruci: Bills not pursuing Cam Newton
ndirish1978 replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The Pats signed AB, who was coming off two public meltdowns, they aren't going to shy away from Cam because he's flamboyant if he's the guy they identify. That said, the Patriot offense is a poor fit for him. -
Bucs new stuff is good, ATL is ?

Would you guys give up 2 2nd round picks for him? I have seen his stats but have only seen him play a handful of times so I'm not going to pretend to know what he's worth or what he brings to a team.

Why do we need a WR in the draft?
ndirish1978 replied to MrSarcasm's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
At what point in time did I advocate taking a receiver with our first pick or poo-poo'd the idea of the Diggs trade? Looks like you're still sore I made jest of you getting names wrong in that thread you started. The OP asked for the argument of why we need to pick a WR in the draft, I gave him my argument. I should note that you misspelled Beasley, might want to work on that. My days of not taking you seriously are definitely coming to a middle. -

V+A+L+U+E. The draft is deep at WR and you can get 1st round talent in the 2nd and starter-quality into the 4th round according to most experts. That said, WR does have one of the highest bust rates of any position, so it'd be a good idea to double up. -
Hard Knocks 2020: LA Rams/LA Chargers

Another season of building up undrafted rookies and then showing them break down as they get cut, meh. -
We had 2 of the highest rated games of the season. I think 2 is a minimum and 3 is probable. I understand the sentiment that this is a sport and sports should be fair to all and evenhanded with all teams, however that flies in the face of the cold hard fact this the NFL is an entertainment company in the business of making money. The big market teams, who bring in more revenue for the league will always be favored. Smaller markets like Green Bay get attention because they do have a national audience and well, they are good. Mid to small-market teams have to be good/entertaining and increase their share of bandwagon fans in order to get a fair shake with the league, that includes ref'ing and the schedule makers. I don't need to point out to refs telling Cam he hasn't "earned" certain calls or being told by Brady to watch for certain penalities and then subsequently calling those penalties to convince people here that there is bias in the system towards big names/bigger teams.

I am quite happy with this one. Got the WR/RB combo I wanted and drafted a stud CB. For me it's either this one or the one I did with Kmet as my top choices. -
14 teams in the Playoffs confirmed. Are we a lock?
ndirish1978 replied to Chandler#81's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Condescending answer and completely wrong. It's not hard to understand that a weak division with a division-winner who ekes in to the playoffs at 8-8 is a worse quality team than the 10-6 team that came in second in their division and missed the playoffs because of tiebreakers. -

Doubt it, if he's using Ryan Davis as a mouthpiece. 18M is what the franchise tag pays and that is evidently "well below" what he is worth. Probably looking for 20M+
