  1. I like Clausen, but there is not a young Qb around who has a shot at developing into something good on this team. Our O-line is terrible on the edges, which WILL affect our running game> Teams don't even need to blitz to get pressure on us. They can sit back in coverage and still pressure with a 4 man rush. That leaves us with the same problem we've always had, a solid, but undersized #1 receiver with no solid tall #2 to alleviate double teams. AND we don't have a decent TE to act as a safety blanket. So any QB starting for us starts off with the chips stacked against him.
  2. Trade a 2nd rounder for a Guard? We actually have 2 decent ones. Not to mention this team's GM has already stated he does not trade draft picks.
  3. You can't say that on this board. I suggested the same thing last year and was called every name in the book for it.
  4. thanks SDS this new board is awesome!
  5. That's what it looked like to me. Like he was too bothered to talk about the Bills.
  6. Appreciate the sarcasm. By definition his job as an expert is to "analyze", not to decline to comment when asked a question. But you're right, I must be an idiot for thinking it was a jackass comment. I'll just be quiet now.
  7. He works for the NFL network. He gets paid to be an analyst. He's not a column writer.
  8. Right before they kicked it over to the game after talking about the redskins for 5 minutes he Eisen asks Faulk if he has anything to say about the Bills. Faulk responds with a verse annoyed "nope". Eisen then laughs and says "They love you in Western NY" Faulk says "They'll see what kind of a team they have" Complete dick. At least pretend to be a journalist.
  9. I saw that. I am more inclined to get the lower level ones, which are only $45 FOR 11TH row. But the site says you have to pick it up at the "last minute service center." Has anyone used this service before?
  10. I'm looking for tickets. It looks like you can get decent ones for like 60 on stub hub, but you have to go to one of their "last minute service centers." Anyone ever done this? If not I'm just gonna buy scalped
  11. Correct. Nowhere was this more apparent to me than on draft day when Corey Chavous gave the Bills draft and A and everyone else was giving us Ds for not taking a tackle. You saw a difference then not because of the grade, but because Corey was the only person to realize that we addressed many of our other positions of need and he didnt think there was a top-tier tackle available when we picked. I don't even call it hating on Buffalo, people in the media just don't care about the Bills. It's kind of like, no matter how many crazy FAs Oakland brings in, you still know theyre gonna suck. I feel like we have been relegated to the children's table in the eyes of the media and they just don't really care enough to do any research on this team.
  12. He has good accuracy. What he does not have is good decision-making. Even a very accurate passer will look like a fool if he reads the defense wrong and throws a perfectly positioned ball into the path of a defender he never saw. He had some issues with decision-making before that big hit he took against phoenix 2 years ago and ever since then we a;; know he just takes the cheap way out and checks down rather than even bothering to make a tough decision to throw downfield when he is pressured. In short, I think Trent has good accuracy short and long, but his pocket presence is terrible and the latter influences the former.
  13. I agree completely. He made the most of his limited opportunities in our festering turd of an offense, comported himself with class and restraint off the field and didn't lose his cool when we tanked. I haven't heard a single negative thing about him from the FO either.
  14. He's been in the league ONE YEAR!!!!! Absolutely ridiculous thought. I fart in your general direction. Your mother was a hamster and your father smells of elderberrys.
  15. Sometimes I feel like we should drug test thread starters here on this board. This is a terrible idea. One that has already been widely condemned on the board 100 times before.
  16. Did you bother to read the post above yours. THEY DO NOT HAVE A 3RD ROUNDER!!!!!!!!!!
  17. Even if this were the last year of his contract, trading Lynch for a 4th is worth much less then getting a years production out of him; especially considering we have 2 other solid backs to minimize pressure on him and allow him to stay fresh and be productive. The fact remains Lynch has TWO more years left on his contract and his salary is VERY reasonable. At that rate, you hold on to the guy and get 2 solid years of solid production out of him. The only way you trade him is if someone makes you an offer that outweighs the benefit of keeping a good running back for 2 more years and that would be a 2nd rd pick. Forget the whole "so and so was a late rd pick and he turned into a hall of famer", we don't get that lucky and banking on finding a diamond in the rough in the 3rd or later is foolish. 3rd rd picks are likely to develop into decent starters and in some outlying cases, could be really good. 1st and 2nd rd picks are the money picks. Lynch, though coming off a rough year due in large part to his suspension, has 2 years to audition for a new job and I believe he should be well above average and he has the ability to be a real threat. Like I said, absent a 2nd rd pick, Lynch can whine all he wants but he is going to ride out his contract with us
  18. Chris Brown is not an actual journalist. His "analysis" and "predictions" are wrong about 90% of the time. The only thing Brown has is access as a member of the organization and he consistently wastes his access by refusing to ask real questions.
  19. When are we going to place some post count requirements on starting threads? This one is a prime example of uninspired thinking we see on here consistently from rookie posters.
  20. Looking for tickets too. Is there a specific section everyone is getting their seats in? Count me in for the tailgate Rich. Please let me know if I can help.
  21. How original. You took the basic mantra of the doom and gloomers on this board "we suck, the front office sucks, our draft sucks, Ralph sucks" and managed to expand it into a self congratulatory 700 word diatribe. You were that kid in class who reminded the teacher he hadn't given out homework.
  22. He lived in a 2400 square ft house? That strike anyone else as small for a millionaire?
  23. If Hardy catches for less than 400 yds this season he should be cut.
