I like Reed and Houston a lot FWIW Ayers had 4 sacks last year, Houston had 10

I agree with the original poster. I opened this thread to get actual information, not hear a couple of blowhards start a self-important debate. The thread was started by NGU, it should contain only questions for him and possibly some answers to those questions. Why some people think they can pontificate and think I want to hear their opinions on any matter rather than open a thread and read information pertaining to the actual topic is beyond me.

I am glad to see us adopt a true best player available strategy over a hierarchy of needs. I feel we have missed out on several good players using the needs-based approach in the past; to our detriment.

He had a top 15 grade on him if he had come out this year I believe, so I think a 2nd rd pick may be warranted in the supplemental draft.

I don't care who gets what as long as there is football. Are the players getting paid? If so then I could care less about them getting health insurance after retiring. My job doesn't pay for it, why should theirs? And before you hit me with the "their job puts abuse on their bodies" I remind you that they get paid millions of dollars for that. Who made fun? I have been watching the recaps on NFL Network and they only had good things to say about Chan? I agree, Mathews looks good. As for Miller, I was sickened to hear Nix say he is happy with our OLBs, but we need several ILBs. Miller plays outside so I dont think theyd look to him.

I was actually thinking the same thing today. Though I have to admit that I didn't feel that way in the first half. If Fitz plays as well as he has been playing the past few weeks I think he is more than capable of being our QB in the rebuilding progress and we could focus on drafting some actual talent on Defense.

I actually noticed him on a couple of plays. Was really happy to see him active.

Thank you! Pass rush in a 3-4 is generated from the OLB position. Ours are terrible. We need 2 OLBs and a DE. The Defensive front 7 is weak because our LBs consistently get caught up on the line and don't generate a pass rush. Also, our ILBs need to do a much better job stuffing the run. I haven't been very impressed with Dwan Edwards this year so we could definitely use at least one DE, but not before round 3 IMO. If Luck is gone I would prefer they go OLB, QB, DE, RT
