I also like how he irresponsibly reported we were "heartbroken" about not getting Tebow. Nix comes out and flat out calls that incorrect and nothing from Schefter. I have been harassing him on twitter ever since to make a retraction. The one thing I hate about ESPN is they claim to be journalists, but in reality they hold themselves to no code of journalistic conduct. You are wrong about something you print a retraction.

I don't get it. The guy produces. Who the hell care about measurables when he plays fast? Rice's measurables were not great and turned out to be pretty good. This kid will make the roster and contribute on ST.

+! McShay and Kiper know they sit on a throne of lies. Their entire job consists of picking up info on 3 round and later talent from secondary sources and watching tape on frontrunners. Most of their "opinions" are based on second handed information. They could never admit they were ignorant of anything

+1 We got better on special teams too. As for draft grades, I think Charles Davis summed it up best when he saw Chavous give us an A and he didn't fight him on it. Instead, he said "I think that means I need to go back and watch some more tape." There is no way we were even close to making a playoff run with the roster we had coming into this. Seeing our picks and watching the pressers makes it obvious we are in the first year of what is most likely a 3 year plan to put us in contention for anything. Reaching for OL or drafting a QB you don't rate highly are desperation moves and we've been drafting like that for 10 years. I went into the day upset with the FO, but came out of it encouraged that we are taking the right steps to field a solid team. That being said, we will draft around 12-13 next year.

Probably because we didnt draft high risk players like Maybin and expect our "amazing" coaching staff to turn them into solid players

Exactly. Almost every 3-4 LB is converted after college. I expect the guys will do just fine. I would also expect Batten will push Maybin, who I have very little patience for at this point. That kid pulled the prima dona card and ruined his rookie year for holding out so long and doesnt seem to care he let the team down in a big way.

NFL Network hands down. ESPN sucked all day. They should have put Schefter on air a lot longer. Hes the only guy they have who isn't terrible. I don't understand why they are so bad. He's thoroughly impressed me. He's talking about small school players playing in games against other small school teams I havent even heard of. At one point Rich Eisen just stopped and gave him props for his depth of knowledge.

The guy has watched A LOT of tape. I've been watching all 3 days and he has consistently had info on every guy no matter how obscure. He had Clausen rated 48 and he went right there. I'm impressed. As I'm typing this they just asked him and Charles Davis to rate the Bills draft. Davis gave us a C+ and Chavous gave us an A. Chavous says the 2 DEs we took late can both be very good LBs as pros. He also liked Wang a lot. I'm not touting the guy just because he threw us a bone, but he has schooled the panel for 3 days, showing them they are just going off of public opinion. Like most people here know, often the guys on TV haven't even watched a lot of tape on these guys, they're looking at draft rankings just like us. Having gained a lot of respect for Chavous this week I'm very encouraged that he thought well of our draft
