  1. We need dramatic improvement on the Oline. we need to replace brown at RT and we need a good G to push both of the current starters. We couldn't use the limited weapons we had because they were so terrible. The defense just isn't going to cut it. We need 2 more GOOD dlinemen and a solid starting MLB just to be competitive.
  2. I found Beane's press conference today extremely demotivating. He's out there saying they have 2-3 spendable millions available unless he does more restructures and he doesn't want to do more restructures. This isn't a team that lost in the SB, we got absolutely dog-walked in the playoffs by a team that improved in the offseason. We lost our starting MLB, signed a 5'6 wr and a meh OG. Oh and by signing those two we lost a 3rd rd compensatory pick. I'm a big Beane supporter, but this has been the crappiest beginning to an offseason I can remember. D'onte Foreman could have gotten in for 3M, there have been plenty of bargain basement prices out there and we haven't brought any of them home. I see neither competition nor depth on this team anymore. Gross.
  3. I want to disagree but the insistence this regime has on playing their draft picks for way too long even when they suck is hard to argue with. Spencer Brown has no business starting.
  4. We have basically just been treading water while the other teams in our division load up. I don't understand how Beane isn't making moves while we see players take below-market deals
  5. Brown should in no way should be a lock, he was terrible last year and should not be a starter on this team.
  6. Don't sell yourself short, you don't seem that old
  7. You could not be more wrong
  8. We have tons of holes and 6 draft picks. Hard to justify using one on a backup we hope never plays unless it's the last one. The rest need to go to pluggin actual holes.
  9. Thanks @SDS, happy to hear he's ok and hope the personal issues are all resolved without issue! Best wishes @YoloinOhio!
  10. I just want Poyer back so we can draft a decent safety to learn under him and Hyde.
  11. It's likely Kyle Allen and he's not anything to get excited about.
  12. I'd rather get Sutton. I don't think we're in on any "high" trade asks anyway.
  13. I'll show him a mid-level contract, which is all his play has earned him. Hoping we trade him for a player, not picks.
  14. @SDS Have you been able to communicate with Yolo since your initial request for info? Just asking to see if he's ok.
  15. Fins and Jets getting better and we're getting worse. Not the most fun offseason. Hard to replace Edmunds and Poyer on this D.
  16. Significantly worse than what I thought was going on. Heartbreaking to read about the situation.
  17. Yeah versatility isn't a great help on the Dline when the versatile players stink at each position.
  18. My expectations are a wild card spot and that's about it. Like other on the board I think it's a big mistake to move forward with the same coordinators, though I'm not on the fire McDermott train just yet. I feel a lot of frustration because it seems like the organization is great at presenting a vision and pushing forward to realize that vision but it very very poor at making adjustments even when glaringly needed and that's at all levels: At the HC level we see things like rotating starters or letting people clearly not succeeding stay in starting positions when we clearly need to cut bait on them. We drafted Elam in the 1st and I think it's fair to say we wasted a lot of his development this season. At the coordinator level we are so concerned with being multiple that we don't pick a strength and dictate terms to the other team on either side of the ball. Frazier's "bend don't break" defense only works if you can get sacks or turnovers, in games where we get neither, we are in trouble. Dorsey cannot call a game. Feels like he just lets Josh call whatever he wants. There is no concrete identity to the offense. We did not have a single complete game this year on offense, that is damning. At GM level we see BB consistently drafting BPA but it's not working out, you have to consider need a lot more. Boogie Basham and Bernard should never have been picked where they were when there were positions of greater need with good players left on the board. I like Beane's FA signings but his drafts have left a lot to be desired. Then you have press conferences like we just saw from the GM where he basically said "we're gonna just keep moving forward with what we have, we don't have money to spend on big FAs, so we've basically just got who we've got." But at the same time he acknowledged we are behind other AFC teams, so basically we're just "hoping" we get better? I don't really know what the plan is here.
  19. Poorly coached, poorly executed, just poorly prepared.
  20. Both coordinators need to be fired, but we won't do it. Just like we need to draft OL early and watch us draft a S.
