Criticized fans for booing the team - this is the big one, you kick a fanbase who have been supporting the team for years when they're already down an you're going to turn people against you. B. Said he preferred track to football 2- People resent top 3 rd busts 3- He's always injured

OP is correct as to some people of course, odds are there are people on this board who have preconceived biases against Tyrod because of his race, denying that outright is naive at best. OP did not say that EVERYONE who doesn't like him is a racist, just that he felt race may play a part in the lack of excitement about Tyrod here. I like Tyrod, I think he is our long-term answer at QB. I also think the Bills are correct to hold of paying him this year and make him prove that he's the long-term answer. Marlin - the truth is people are just kind of tired of getting kicked in the nads by this franchise year after year hope and optimism will come slowly if at all. Everything is fixed by winning.

Well he's not getting the franchise amount this year, he's getting the 5th year tender on a rookie contract. I suppose he can get what he's worth next year and the year after that. There is no rush to do anything with him, we can hold him here for the foreseeable future.

They also have a right to come to this community of Bills fans, whom he walked away from and air their greivances by calling him a sweaty, mouthbreathing, control-freak, porchdick if that's what they want to do. I like it. The guys who cover this team have an inflated sense of self-importance anyway. I read the training camp breakdowns on TBD and get more out of them than the unsolicited opinions the guys who get paid to write inject into their work.

I really don't have a problem with Whaley's drafting record. I do have a problem with the poor way he sets expectations. You should always underpromise and overdeliver; Whaley seems to completely miss this and promotes the team like a boxing promoter, consistently making wildly optimistic statements and then acting surprised when they don't come to pass. I'm not a fan of that.
