Jeff Fisher- why does this man still have a job?
ndirish1978 replied to major's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Atta boy, make the thread about what you want! Nevermind the OP's question was about something completely different. Here are some other threads you could derail: Who shot JFK? -Who cares, that's the past. The real question is why the Ryans assassinated our chances of winning. Should we sign Freeney? - With Rex as the HC, it doesn't matter who we bring in. What is the GDP of Sri Lanka? - I heard that place makes a lot of shoes. You know who is against shoes? Rex Ryan. I don't like that guy -
Yes by all means, let's hold people accountable by arguing with people they will never meet on a board that they will never read! That'll show them!

RD 1, Pick 19: DE Shaq Lawson, Clemson University

It seems like it right? Except I thought they won some kind of award recently? I dunno, this is all very disappointing -

He probably wouldn't have fallen to us at 19 had it not been for the shoulder. I guess they were hoping for the best and it bit them in the butt. If info comes out that they already knew this was going to happen going into the pick i'll be pissed. -
Well, looks like the FO sold us a bill of goods

Jonathan Martin... Still Whining About Richie
ndirish1978 replied to H2o's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I get what you're saying. Glad to here you are doing better with your MDD. Martin is determined to be a victim here. He got some notoriety from it and he probably thinks that he's being "brave" for giving these speeches. The problem is, he wasn't bullied, he is a grown man who was in over his head in the NFL and took the cowards way out of a difficult situation. -
Tight End position. Should we be worried?
ndirish1978 replied to Mark Vader's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I'm sorry, but if the Seahawks can be a top team with Russell Wilson throwing primarily outside to a bunch of nobodies then we can too. Our defense will be solid and we will rely on the power rushing game. I don't understand this obsession with where we throw the ball, as long as we throw it to open up some rushing lanes. -
Not a flattering assessment of Adolphus
ndirish1978 replied to Buffalo Barbarian's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
They're using him as a DE when we're in 3-4 sets and a pass rushing DT in nickel. I agree that he needs to get WAY better at playing the run, but that's not news to anyone, even his coach said that when he got picked. http://www.nfl.com/videos/buffalo-bills/0ap3000000658167/Bills-pick-Adolphus-Washington-No-80 -

ndirish1978 replied to Mark Vader's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
This. I understand that we're in trouble if Clay goes down, but you can pretty much say that about half the positions on the roster should the starter go down: LT, QB, WR, CB, S -
Summer Sanders- Olympian Dean Cain - Superman Yeah we don't really have a good representation in the acting community.

All I meant by my comment was, while I respect that they came in and gave us some information, I'd prefer this information be shared "in context". If a report comes up saying Shaq may miss time, then yeah, this post makes sense even though it has minimal content. I never doubted the poster in the first place and I admit I am most happy on this board when i find information I wouldn't have found elsewhere, but at a certain point you have to realize these statement just start a firestorm of discussion and do more harm than good. That's my 2 cents. -
Numbers being retired are not an endorsement of the athlete as a person, they are an acknowledgement of the player's meaningful on-field contributions. This number is not retired, it has simply been out of use. Honestly, it's a headache. Would YOU want to take 32 and have to see all the stupid memes and hear the jokes you're gonna get thrown at you? Cause if that bothers someone for even a minute, they shouldn't take it.

The pass rush and linining up in different places
ndirish1978 replied to Rockinon's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I'll tell you why you get a hard time on here and I say this not as a shot at you, but in the hope you can see why people on this board tend to have negative reactions towards you. You offer, without fail, the most consistently negative take on every single situation around. If there were a post about a basket full of puppies at the front desk of OBD, you're the type to cite how irresponsible it is to expose everyone in the building to possible rabies. There are plenty of posters here who have negative views on some things and positive views on others, it's called being a balanced poster. You are consistently negative and argue with anyone who disagrees with you to the point that it takes threads over. I would suggest that if you don't like how people are reacting to you, change your reaction to them by not immediately getting into arguments, or, try and be more balanced when you post. That said, I understand there may be times when you say non-negative things around here and you feel like you're getting singled out, but once you get a reputation, it follows you around and it's hard to shake. -
I agree with the second half. Tim is a pretty decent writer, unfortunately he seems to adore being a troll (just look at literally any day on his twitter); which is weird, because he stopped posting on this board because people were trolling him.

It's a self-serving way to view the draft. If you view someone as a rd 1 pick and he goes in the 3rd, then his value was that of a 3rd round pick and your analysis was wrong, you don't give the team who drafted that guy a high score because they agreed with you.

Now I'm worried. I understand you can't elaborate often, but it's a little uncool to do a drive-by, drop a fact with no context and then just disappear. -
This segment actually gave me heartburn. Baldinger has no business being on tv. He leans back and radiates apathy as the people around him openly question why he doesn't give the bills an A simply on the basis that they "didn't draft anybody to stop Gronk"

Another thread that reinforces my contention that there should be a minimum post count before you can start your own topic -

I like Woods a lot. If he's healthy this season he's going to play himself into a nice payday. I'd really like to keep him -

Correct. In fact, it sounds like you're not a "watched every game" kind of guy either, or else you would have noted a marked improvement in our defense over the last quarter of the year. This is not a left handed compliment, it is a challenge. We can tell it is a challenge because Rex he straight up calls it one. If you don't like Rex, fine, don't like Rex. But trying to "back up" your position with non-facts and fairly blatant misinterpretations of quotes just makes your arguments consistently weak. -
