In that case you would be incorrect. Rex was hired because he is a defensive-minded coach and the general view was that he would keep our defense near the top of the league and keep us in games with a decent enough offense. Rex's defenses have been terrible. he did not do what he was hired to do. If you purchase a phone and it doesn't make calls but gets internet reception that phone isn't "not as bad as some people think it is", the phone is broken. Rex was hired for defense, his defense sucks, Rex is broken.

The fact that some of the older people on this board don't understand twitter metrics are analyzed and used in many business decisions just goes to show how after a certain age you kind of become an irrelevant fossil yelling at the wall.

I don't follow hockey closely enough to know how his ownership of the Sabres could be applied to anticipate what moves we could see from him with the Bills. In my limited knowledge I'm aware that they basically tanked a season for McDavid, wound up with Eichel and are still bad (is that correct)? I dunno what he's done with FO structure or coaches. Defense is beyond terrible. Kizer is a project, but as an ND fan, I agree we already have a high-ceiling project on the roster. The kid couldn't beat out Zaire to start the year despite putting up good numbers last year which to me looks like a leadership deficiency, which is really the only thing Zaire has.
