  1. A group of 10 of us would go to games in the late 70s, early 80s with a 5 gallon igloo cooler of vodka and iced tea. We'd all pitch in $2 and buy the cooler a ticket and tape it to it. People would get pissed but not a thing they could do with Mr. Igloo having a ticket
  2. Had the NFL accepted the AFL's challenge in 1963 like Commissioner Joe Foss asked. The Bills would have played in what should have been Super Bowl 1 against the Browns in 64 and the Packers in Super Bowl 2 in 65. Sadly NFL commissioner Pete Rozelle said no and did not agree until the merger was agreed upon.
  3. I was 8 also and went to my first game two weeks before when the Bills clinched the AFL east and tore down the goal post. We were so sure the Bills were going to the 1st Super Bowl my dad bought our first color TV to watch it on. My uncle could get a very snowy picture from Erie Pennsylvania where it wasn't blacked out and watched the Bills and my dream die to the Chiefs, January 1st 1967. GO BILLS REVENGE!
  4. He was slated as 1st rd talent. People passed on him because of his previous knee injury. No one expected him to be there in the 2nd round. Also we didn't have a 2nd round pick that year.
  5. The Bills have been part of my DNA since 1966. It would take to long to write about all that has transpired over my obsession, only I will say I once said to my wife soon after getting married "I would have lived a unhappy life if I do not see the Bills win a Super Bowl." It has left her disturbed 26 years later.
  6. Yeah and the Bills got Billy "The Piano Man" Joe for Cookie Now there's a Bill you don't hear much about.
  7. That the Bills should have been in the first two Super Bowls? In 1963 AFL commissioner Joe Foss sent a letter challenging the NFL to a championship game starting in 1964. Had the league started the Super Bowl that year the Bills would have played the Cleveland Browns. Cookie Gilchrist vs Jim Brown. In 1965 we would have played the Packers. The Bills defense of those years would have given the NFL a tough game. We may be chasing the Lou Saben trophy had Pete Rozelle not chickened out.
  8. Channel 4 report for Saturday night. Lake effect snow is possible starting Saturday afternoon. At this point, it looks like areas south of Buffalo are most likely to see the brunt of any snow. While it's not clear yet whether Bills Stadium will get hit with a band, the forecast for the team's second home playoff game is definitely more interesting than the forecast for the first one. Football fever aside, significant accumulating lake effect snow is becoming increasingly likely for the Southern Tier Saturday night into Sunday. Plan on tough travel during the weekend if the right factors line up. I doubt he's seen Buffalo snow
  9. Does anybody remember back in the 90s when the stadium was in a bit of disarray that there was a metal gate that didn't latch anymore and the guy sitting next to it banged the hell out of it. It was really loud because it was right at field level.
  10. Hey Pickel deer( think about it. It will come to you) No defense designs not sacking the quarterback. Your name fits your football knowledge.
  11. I said the same thing to my wife, but to not get one was aggravating.
  12. To watch Rivers stand back there all day with little pressure and never being touched was infuriating and a big problem. They better find a pass rush in their magic hat by next week.
  13. Fly to Ohio and drive in. It's not like there's border check points with machine guns.
  14. The Bills fans have now stated a pay it forward act that is starting to catch on across the NFL. https://www.wgrz.com/article/sports/nfl/colts-fans-donate-to-oishei-childrens-hospital-after-bills-win/71-a3601487-e1f0-45d6-82bb-6f68f686eaad
  15. Yeah it would be hard for any team to dole out the beating the Bills gave the Raiders in the 1990 championship game. I don't think Howie Long has recovered yet.
  16. Even "Talken' Proud" from the 1970s was better than that.
  17. You do things because it's the right thing to do, not accolades. Just smile knowing we were all part of starting things like this with Andy Dalton's charity and then honoring Josh's grandmother and helping hundreds of children.
  18. One interesting fact for those who were around was our country was in a huge crisis in 1990 also. It was the start of the Gulf war. I remember that they interrupted the AFC championship game to go live in Baghdad with bombs going off. The usual 2 weeks super bowl break was only a week. Everybody was on high alert with bomb checks instead of covid test. It was a tense time but the country really pulled together and became one the second Whittney Houston sang the National Anthem. We were all American's. It would have been a perfect day except for a difference of 6 feet.
  19. What did Tasker say in the end of that video? Have fun Tua😂😂😂😂😂
  20. What is this world coming to , when a man just can't be himself.🙂
  21. Isn't head to head the 1st tie breaker ir is it divisional record?
  22. Did you watch the game? Quote: "The game saw Harris break UA’s record for both career rushing yards and career rushing touchdowns, but his performance as a pass-catcher is what caught more eyes — although it should not have been a surprise after he set the school record for single-season receiving touchdowns by a running back last season."
