  1. "This is what you play the game for — to get to Hawaii"....Jason Peters NO! you play the game to get to the Super Bowl. But most players really don't care about that, it's all about ME, not the TEAM. So sad, but at least you heard it straight from the players mouth. He doesn't even seem to care that the Bills aren't going to the playoffs again. His butt will be on the beach in Hawaii thinking about his next holdout.
  2. How many years between the first world Trade Center bombing and 9-11, count um'? Iraq has done nothing in keeping this country safe from another attack on our soil.
  3. I think it's ironic you have Pat Tillman as your avatar as you make this point. He believed that we should be out of Iraq. He hated the Bush's policies on Iraq and stated that there was no reason to be in Iraq and there was no winning this war. I believe he was a GREAT hero who did know what was going on and would want nothing to do with John McCain staying in Iraq.
  4. What getting Gonzales would do for the Bills today, is what getting James Lofton did in 1989. No longer could the safety come up and wait for Reed over the middle once Kelly started to burn them deep. In the end they could not make up their minds who to cover. With Tony Gonzales and Lee Evans it creates the same problems. Tony could be our Lofton of 2008. A hall of famer who while at the end of his career, could move this team to where Lofton help take the Bills into the 1990s and the Super Bowl. Having a veteran like James helped that team grow up fast. If there is a ligit deal out there for him that doesn't break the draft bank, the Bills MUST make this move.
  5. It does if you drove off with out stopping. Did You?
  6. He also is the father of Cheryl Ford who plays for the Detroit Shock and has little contact with. Her mom was also just 13 years of age when Karl got her pregnant. Hard to believe he never ended up in jail. Poor families in the deep south and being a star basketball player, a combination that saved hiss a$$
  7. Do you mean a 180? A 360 puts you right back where you started.
  8. You're right, it was blacked out, but the black out area was not as large as it is now. We went over to my uncles house who could pick up a Eire PA station and you could get the game. I remember getting there just in time to see Kemp hit Dubenion through the snowy reception. I thought the Bills were on their way. But to my alas, so started my now 41 year journey with the Bills and a Super Bowl win.
  9. Alex smith had his pro work out yesterday and one scout said he was the best prospect he's seen since Troy Aikman. Smith is bigger, 6'3" with a stronger arm and faster than Detmer. In other words, nothing like Detmer. The system he was in was all about making great and quick reads. Which is what the NFL is all about and our QB from last year couldn't do. If anything I think he could be the next Brady. He may not be flashy, but a smart kid with good tools who's a winner. I think who ever gets him will have a real player.
  10. The dates don't come out until after the draft in April.
  11. It's all a part of the ME generation. The world of sports has become all about the personal player, not the team. Players run away from their teammates when they make a great play now so all the world can see how great they are. You see it every game as their teammates are trying to celebrate with them, they seperate for all to view their greatness. This has nothing to do with showing emotion. It has to do with selfishness and ego. You may be right about one thing. I've loved this game, this team for almost 40 years. I watched Jack Kemp get carried off the field by his teammates and the goal post come down in the rock pile. I stood and sang with a bunch of players when they ran back out of the locker room in 1980 to celebrate with the fans. Players cared about the team and the fans. Those days are gone, I guess I am an old man.
