Bills Hire Ryan Nielsen Senior Defensive Assistant.
Mark Vader replied to BuffaloBillyG's topic in The Stadium Wall
Forgive him, he's a Punter. -
Now it's up to Crosby to go to the Raiders and say, "Trade me!"

A couple of day 3 picks that are interesting to me. S Craig Woodson, California-Solid player for Cal, was 2nd Team All-America and was also a team captain. Probably a better run defender than pass defender, but looks like he can become a good all-around defender. WR Nick Nash, San Jose State- Redshirt Senior who started off as a dual threat QB, then made the transition to wide receiver in his 4th year. During his final year he blew everyone away by getting the triple crown of receiving in receptions, yards and touchdowns during the regular season. Listed at 6'3", 195, he could be one to watch for. Is he a one year wonder? Don't know, but he's worth a day 3 pick.

Good point.

Anyone else for using our draft capital for trades?

Obviously this won't happen. What kind of approach should the Bills take? -

Then what do you suggest be done to improve the team? -

That's not exactly how I would put it, but I am all for trading draft picks to get veteran players on this team. The Bills need to make a move and find players who are stuck on losing teams and want to go to a team that has a shot at a championship. If we have to mortgage picks in 2026, so be it. The Bills will be top contenders, again, next season. We can worry about rookie players later. The future is now! -
Well, we can't get both of them. The way Crosby was gushing about the Bills during his stint on NFL Network spoke volumes.

Nowhere to go but up for the Raiders.

Bills hire Jason Rebrovich as assistant defensive line coach
Mark Vader replied to Roundybout's topic in The Stadium Wall
Does this mean that McDermott hired someone from outside the organization? Baby steps? -
Best wishes to him. I was cheering for the guy. Despite the injuries he looked he had potential to at least be a good back-up for us.

Cooper Kupp leaving the Rams. Want him?
Mark Vader replied to Chandler#81's topic in The Stadium Wall
Look into it. Can't hurt. -
I'm not saying that Beane has been perfect at drafting, and of course I want the Bills to get better, and I think they will. Somehow. Yes, Knox is overpaid, no question. Which is why I don't know why we don't use him more often. I do think Kincaid can work out and be very good for us. When we drafted Kincaid, I had Chiefs fans come up to me and say, "You just drafted Travis Kelce." Now I don't have those kind of lofty expectations for Kincaid, but I think he can become a very good Tight End for the Bills. I know your main focus is the defense, and I share that frustration. Is it the players? Is it the scheme? I'm not sure. I like McDermott, and even though he was a student of Jim Johnson, I still have really yet to see that from him.

Ed Oliver is a good player. Devin Singletary was on the team for 4 seasons, he's no longer with us because we weren't going to pay him big money. He was a good RB for us. Dawson Knox is overpaid, but is hardly a JAG. Gabriel Davis had an early impact on the team, but faded because he wasn't the type of player that we could use long term. Tommy Doyle has had injuries, but has played well when called upon. May never be a starter, but is good for depth. Terrel Bernard is slow and short, but produces. A lot better than who we had at MLB prior to.
-
You never took into account at what those players that are no longer with us did while they were here.
-
Your takes are poorly thought out.
-
I think Crosby would be the right fit for us. It's true that the Raiders won't just give him away, but so what? I don't care if we give away our first round pick, or if we make a trade that means we have to give up our first pick in 2026! If it means that you can get player(s) that can get us a championship, then do it! The future is now!
-
Jocularity, jocularity. I'm not dismissing Kincaid, nor am I giving up on Coleman after one season.
-
I like the idea. Our first round pick is really a high 2nd, so I won't miss it. Go for it!
-
This all sounds good to me. If we have to trade our first round pick to get someone I would do it. The 30th pick is basically a high 2nd with the 5th year option. I wouldn't miss it.
-
Do Bills fans still want him?
-
I think this is a great idea. Go ahead and mortgage draft picks. Trade and get good players who want to win now, instead of letting their careers pass them by. I don't know if the Bills will do this, but it's a good idea.

Wide Receiver Train Full Speed Ahead- CHOO CHOO!
Mark Vader replied to Pete's topic in The Stadium Wall
I don't doubt that the turf toe injury was bothering him all season. I just didn't like the way they used Samuel for most of the season. We'll see if that changes next season. Samuel is talented, and we need to use him a lot better than we did.
