  1. I think it may more be due to the fact that for the first month Orton was here he was working wit hthe 2nd team as was Hogan so they built up some chemistry. I recal lit was the same whe nFitz took over he had chemistry with Stevie as Stevie was a backup at that point too.
  2. That was a very good one Didn't see that one, as an old Islander fan woill haveto watch that one. I lived through many of those nights in the Big East, I recall the sweater game,I can tell you where I was when Pearl half court shot to beat BC. The 30 for 30 on the Big East brought a tear to my ear watching it recalling all the memories.
  3. That's true, thinking some more about the ones I've watch I believe you are correct. I guess I better get busy! And yes I agree, most are very good. I just watched When the Garden was Eden. That and Requiem of the Big East were two of my favorites.
  4. It kind of surprises me ESPN hasn't yet done a 30 For 30 film on the Bills 4 Super Bowls in a row. Yeah they didn't win any but no other team has ever come close. When you look at some of the topics they have done shows on it's not like it's only the top stories in sports, they've done shows on surfers, BMX drivers, etc, some people I've never even heard of. I'd think the Bills would be a better story than some of these others??
  5. Was it men's or women's?? Just asking??
  6. Well if you're goigt to blame the Bills front office for getting it wrong a QB, you probably need to blast every other team too as they all get it wrong. If the Bills front office were to draft five more first round QB's over the next ten years and they all failed, they'd be doing about average. So just curious, where exactly do you think you're going to find a GM who'll do a better job than Doug Whaley? And please don't suggest 70 YO Bill Pollion. I wouldn't even mind him so much if the son wouldn't come with him. I'll promise you one thing if the Bill's did dump Whaley, he's be scooped up very quickly.
  7. If there was time for the coaches to run another 100 plays with the backups I will guarantee you they would use that additional time with the starters instead for more practice And certainly the Bills are not unique in thought process either, every team in the league would do the same. When you add in the limitations for practice it makes it worse. The extra time the QB coach spends with EJ,is that now less time he has to work with Orton? I've read/heard that in a typical NFL work week, the back up QB gets around a half dozen snaps with the first team offense. And that statement was made prior to the latest CBA which further limits overall time, so may even be less. For the same reason I always laugh at these posts from people who state the Bill's should draft a QB every year. Well then all you'll have is a bunch of inexperienced QB's who got zero playing time and never got better.
  8. Interesting that the game is on the NFL network, but with CBS announcers and produced by CBS??
  9. You could easily put Vinny Testiverdi(sp) in the same category. He never won a Super Bowl, but certainly his best days were long after being drafted by Tampa. On the other hand while I'm not saying he's anywhere near terrible, both those guys did have better physical tools. Seemed their problems may have been more on the mental side of the game. Don't think that's ever been Orton's problem, in his case may be more questionable skills.
  10. Oh you mean like these threads???
  11. Totally agree wit hyou. I've posted this a few times, likely Hakett goes unless the offense improves greatly.
  12. Great idea!! That's exactly what Buffalo did the week prior, so wouldn't you think the defense may also be looking for that me play.
  13. So Goodwin was out today, Woods missed most of the game, Did Easley play today?? Williams has been a disappointment. May be they are afraid to only have one TE as the blocking isn't good enough and would make the D tend to bring in more LB less D-backs for guys like Sammy to work against. If the line starts playing better may see more WR play
  14. I assume you mean ten from the bottom?
  15. These guys may mean Hughes doesn't get resigned with this much depth. Use the $$ elsewhere.
  16. As many threads there were here ripping the Watkins trade, I'm beginning to wonder if there are just as many turning up on the Browns board. Barring a complete 2nd half meltdown, likely this pick will be somewhere between 15 to 20 and maybe even the low 20's
  17. Hackett is to blame for Vick running 70 something yards too. Lets put the blame where it belongs!!
  18. Cause from the refs perspective his knees hit the ground then he extended the ball afterwards. That doesn't count.
  19. That's what they triued to do, except he got sacked on 2nd down. Smart thing then was running on 3rd down since Jets had no TO's left. Defensively other than Geno throwing right to the Bill's they can't stop anyone.
  20. Yeah well when you see the replay you'll know why. Can you spell showboating??
  21. Is Chandler playing? Been seeing alot of Smith and Gragg in there.
  22. Damm it Vick is coming in
  23. Keep in mind these are same announcers who commented at the beginning of the game that McKelvin is having a pro-bowl type season
  24. I wish we'd stop intercepting, I'm afraid they may bring in Vick, let Geno compete a couple of passes so they keep him in
  25. Here's my pet peeve, A D-lineman jumps the count and is offsides, the O lineman though, maybe never saw the guy jump early or instincts take over so to prevent a sack hold the guy and it ends up off-setting penalties and replay the down. Somehow that just doesn't sound fair to me as the offisdes which occurred first likely caused the o-lineman to hold.
