  1. That to me is a more likely long term solution here. Have to believe the popularity of the NFL has taken the CFL down a lot so may be easier to work with than compete against.
  2. So this week PFF is good?? I do wonder if they will resign both McGovern and Edwards or not. They have also drafted their potential replacements so will be interesting to see as can't afford everyone.
  3. Looking at the context of it, makes it sound like he understood the role of Jones and Walker and somehow either through editing or someplace else it was mistakenly written as 3-tech instead on 1 And where is the split end and flanker. At least we still have quarterbacks! Think Abbott and Costello could do a good bit on football players position/names.
  4. I don't know how often other QB's complete long passes but as few as I've seen Allen complete, I have to think others are higher based purely on observation. Could it be due to Allen's receivers, it's possible, but I've seen Allen over throw, under throw, miss to the side and by a fair amount. So makes me more think it's on Allen. That's the one part of his game he still may have issues with, but that's OK. Even when he had Diggs best years or a speedster like Brown, he still struggled some. I'm sure there's been a couple since, but the last long pass I recall Allen completing was around 96 yarder to Gabe Davis, against Steelers. Recall the quote from Hyde afterwards, he said he was getting ready to put his helmet on to go play defense. That was exactly what he ended up doing except it was after a kick off, not a punt. But I'm fine with the 20 to 25 yarder which he is is very good with. Agee too with you @SoTier, unless multiple long term injuries, Bills are fine with their WR/TE group and definitely are not trading a high draft pick. The only thing bringing in a top WR will do is give less attempts to others. Allen isn't going to complete 50 more passes, maybe he has 10 more and the rest of the team has 40 less as there's only one ball to go around.
  5. Agree, but just seems I've rarely seen Allen complete a pass over 40 yards. Seems like less than others.
  6. I heard it was a wrenched knee
  7. Maybe something was lost in the translation?? At best it's maybe the first week Burrow is back based on the 3 month recovery time. Looking at Calendar it's under 3 months.
  8. what do they define as deep? Many of these sites consider over 20 yards a deep pass or the throw is 12 yards and the player runs another 25 for a 40 yard gain. Allen is very good at the 20 maybe 30 yards, but when he just heaves it 40+ yards, the last time I remember him completing one was the around 96 yards to Gabe Davis against Steelers on opening drive. I'm sure there's been some others since, but would be surprised to hear there were many.
  9. They are taking what the defense gives them and avoiding turnovers. Add to that as good as Allen is, he has struggled with accuracy of deep balls. He's under thrown, over thrown and everything in between in the past.
  10. And unless you live in one of the cities or have ST, will never see it.
  11. Stepford League Just imagine what the cheerleaders would look like!
  12. Worked fine for me, do have an issue with the ST and the email they sent me yesterday as shown below, but yet the games I try and pick are not available.
  13. Peterson won a SB in Philly and been fired twice since, so anything is possible. Agree though, Harbaugh is another one who's done very little lately. Fortunately for him, Tomlin, and even McD to a lesser degree, they have owners that aren't impulsive.
  14. I'd agree with # 7, 9, & 10. Actually Peyton is to much of a recent hire to be fired, but he probably never should have been re-hired
  15. Could be because you don't have Hyde and Poyer behind them to cover up issues in front of them.
  16. If the Bills start IR'ing players who aren't hurt or keeping them on IR when healthy there will be many posts about needing to Fire Beane in the off-season for breaking rules and costing us to lose a draft pick or picks. The NFLPA would immediately jump in and scream infraction.
  17. Can you do that or is that something the player can file a grievance if not made active. I get it player doesn't want to rock the boat, but also one of these things the union watches and don't want to allow teams to get away with things like that.
  18. As has been stated, per his contract would cost the team almost as much to cut him as keep him. The Bills have 5 WR's active, they likely aren't going to go with 6, add to that Samuel doesn't play ST so he's the odd mad out. If they do cut or trade him, what if someone gets hurt? It's not likely the team is going to pick up someone else as good as Samuel, plus then paying two guys. The odds of going through entire year without one of the WR's missing a game or two is likely low, so it's a smart move to keep him. The Bills have a loaded roster, it's why they signed guys like Phillips, Poyer to PS if someone gets hurt, they have experienced players to back fill.
  19. My guess is with everything Allen has going, he lends his name to many things, but is he personally putting in as much time as say Dion Dawkins is? And folks who do the nominating see that.
  20. Was looking through the thread but couldn't find if it lists who are the callups? I'm guessing Jenkins and Lougue??
  21. When you have a QB like Allen and Mahomes or a Brady, Manning in prior years, they can all easily make a mediocre WR look like #1. Adding a true #1 WR to the Bills would just mean less catches for everyone else and maybe even less running plays by Cook. And if like many of the true #1 WR's in about 2 years adding more discontent too. Look at the one year when we had Bledsoe throwing to Peerless Price and made him look great. We were able to get a 1st round pick for him in a trade. How'd that turn out for Atlanta?
  22. Watching the game I thought the same he was playing more than I expected, but read today he only played was like 26 snaps. Maybe was a case of the announcers talked about him on 25 of the 26 snaps so seemed like he played all game??
  23. I don't t think it's the forgone conclusion you make it out to be WRT Knox. We'll see
  24. Granted it's early, but Knox leads the snap count for the TE's so don't think it's as straight forward as you make it out to be as could argue he's the #1 TE. Kincaid has improved in blocking, but still need to get better there too. My guess is they ask Knox to take a fairly sizable paycut. If he accepts he stays, if not then he could be gone.
  25. Was funny too, he bobbled it like 3 times, but hung on to it.
