  1. In the first 5 rounds, yes i'd have no problem with that. In rounds 6 and 7, take guys you think can contribute or you can develop in the future, regardless of position.
  2. Great picks by KC and Seattle. One good thing about the TBD mock draft is that top notch skill players always fall due to the over-emphasis of the OL draftees.
  3. Good point. With that spray, you might make it all the way through the Sears catalog.
  4. How can you say that '01 was a good draft? We took a first round DB, which automatically means the draft was a total bust.
  5. I thought the entire "Little Ben will forget everything that happened" was kind of a cop out by the writers.
  6. Since chicago has no 1st and Tampa has no second rounder, i'll take Da Bears on as a second team to help fill out the list.
  7. The entire point is that the trade and/or the discussion of picking Ngata instead of Whitner have nothing to do with and are completely separate topics from Whitner's ability to play on the field.
  8. The Palins are stupid (there's a shock) for going after him, but what the hell kind of sex life does a 17 year old have to talk about? "So, we like, did it this one time and i almost lasted a minute. And then, there was this other time in my car. And she even gave me a BJ. It was sweet, all 30 seconds of it. Then she like got all pregnant and stuff and she wouldn't let me do it anymore. Oh, and this one time i was at her house and saw her mom get out of the shower and i saw part of her boob. It was sweet."
  9. When it all comes down to it, you can know the exact distance to the pin to the inch, you can know how much break every single blade of grass on the green imparts on the ball, and exactly how the wind will affect your shot, but you've still got to actually hit he shot. Knowing you are exactly 168.5 yards to the pin really doesn't matter too much when you hit a 40 yard worm burner with your next swing.
  10. 1. john McCargo signed a 5 year 8.6 million dollar deal. Regardless of his play, thats not breaking the bank. 2. Since Daniel Manning is sooooo great, why was he benched as a started last year? You love to pimp the stat that Manning has started 30 game sin 3 years, yet you fail to mention that 29 starts came in his first 2 years. He started 1 game last season out of 14 games played. Why is that? Perhaps the Bears finally realized he isn't very good and looked to replace him.
  11. Jackson was tendered, ensuring he'll play for us or no one next year. He does deserve more money than he's making, but with the Peters situation and the draft, Jackson's new deal simply isn't a high priority right now. They have all summer to get a deal done with him.
  12. Normally grammar or spelling doesn't bother me too much on a message board, but if you are a Buffalo Bills fan, have you ever, anywhere, on this site, the Bills' site, the stadium, the national media, or on any piece of apparel, seen Buffalo Bills spelled with an apostrophe?
  13. who is "the Bill" and why do i care about his first pick?
  14. A 4 putt in a scramble is rather impressive. As for GPS, i've used the ones in the cart at the courses around here, but never the handheld ones.
  15. Finding a WR is infinitely easier than finding a franchise QB.
  16. According to NFL total access this morning, they stated that Turner and the illini never offered Cutler a scholarship.
  17. "I'll decide which club i am going to tee off with on wednesday."
  18. Dickie J afterwards: "I would have liked to shoot a 68, but i shot a 90 so i'll have to be happy with that." and "Shooting par is hard on a golf course." Chris Kelsay afterwards: "<sniff sniff> dick jauron could beat tiger woods. he's an inspiration to me and my family. My firstborn is going to be named Dick Jauron Kelsay and Dick Jauron's birthday will be a revered kelsay family holiday for years to come."
  19. Agreed. Our pick doesn't mean much until we are actually on the clock and Dirty Sanchez in still on the board. Then we entertain offers to move down. Ideally, we bluff denver into giving us 1 of their 3rds to flip-flop #11 and #12. I actually think this entire point is moot, because i think sanchez is going top 10. (Assuming det takes stafford) The hot spots to trade will be the 7-9 spots, to try and jump in front SF who might take Dirty is he's available.
  20. just say no to maybin.
  21. wait a second, i thought this thread was discussing the bears...
  22. Crowell not re-signing with the Bills had little to do with money.
  23. 'Bama getting their ass whipped by Utah is a huge reason why the SEC wont play big OOC games. That was a very tough pill for the cutoff jean-short wearing, dale earnhardt jr tatoo crowd to swallow. We're in a time where its very tough for a team to go unbeaten, so its down to the best 1 loss and even possibly 2 loss teams for the national title. And when there's that many teams vying for the top slot, big games mean a lot more in the polls. A team that went to LA and lost OOC to USC looks much better than a candy ass SEC team who beat up on Tulane and Northeast florida School for the Blind and lost to mississippi st.
  24. Between the draft talk, and now this Raji talk of falling due to his possible drug test, which reminded me of the Jets passing on Warren Sapp, i wanted to again share this little gem. Once of the best draft day vids of all time.
  25. http://www.travelchannel.com/TV_Shows/Man_v_Food My money says he'll kick it first.
