  1. While i know its fun to join the "FSU DEs suck" party, when you get some time, do a little research and take a look at how many of the FSU DEs were converted to OLBs in the NFL. Sure some DEs have busted. But perhaps it's more to do with trying to switch their position in the NFL. Of course, that's a lot of work, and its much easier to simply parrot, "FSU DEs suck, we shouldn't draft one." Also, when you get a chance, explain to me whay adding a pass rusher would be a bad thing for our defense, who, last time i checked, lacked any semblance of a pass rush.
  2. I actually just saw this post right now. I wasn't calling you a retard. I was implying that claiming he "left her for dead" was a highly over exaggerated statement. I'm not saying what he did was right at all, because it wasn't, but we don't know the details of the situation. I don't like people simply assuming he floored the car to 60 when he saw her, mowed her down, and screamed "BEASTMODE!" out the window as he sped off. At least give the situation its due credit. I was saying that you're better than the people who have described it as above, so i wasn't sure why you stooped to that level in your criticism.
  3. Don't rub one out to help yourself fall asleep. They have cameras in the rooms.
  4. Now that they have his check, they can pay your refund. Its a giant government Ponzi scheme. Happy B'day by the way.
  5. I believe so too. I think Upshaw was seriously leading the NFLPA astray, and they are much better off with new leadership. Smith has also stated he wants the NFLPA to do a ton more for retired players, a group largely ignored by Upshaw. As a union leader, Upshaw was nothing more than an asshat. One big fight i forsee is that the NFLPA wants the owners to open their books to everyone. Currently, the NFL books are open, but individual franchise keep a tight lid on their own numbers.
  6. So this guy works a real job to pay the bills, and in his spare time works on a hobby he has. Through hard work, his efforts pay off and now he's a paid scout, getting paid to do his hobby, and you guys are bashing him for this? Un-frickin-believeable
  7. Its because its the truth. Not many people, and certainly not me, are saying he would have succeeded. We are simply saying that the environment to succeed wasn't put into place for him. Not to mention the fact that when he was drafted, most expected him to take a few years to grow because he was "raw," and then wanted his head when he didn't play like an all-pro right off the bat. Think of it like a college exam. A student has a roommate who plays loud music all night so the student doesn't get any sleep the night before the final. He then fails the exam. Can you call the student a failure? perhaps. But the conditions for the student to do well on the exam were not in place, making it very difficult for them to perform at the top level.
  8. Well, draft wise, we aren't in the bottom 5 front offices/personnel men. Granted we are no where near the top 5, but perhaps we aren't as bad (in drafting) as people would have everyone believe. http://msn.foxsports.com/nfl/pgStory?conte...p;photo=9486136
  9. Jackson only had 7 returns. There's a reason why the NFL requires a minimum number of returns to qualify.
  10. FWIW, on nfl network the other day, they said that the general sentiment among many players is that they would agree to a rookie cap if the total amount of $ paid to the players stayed the same, meaning a redistribution of cash from rooks to vets. But, isn't that how it is now? There's a salary floor that teams need to spend to. I personally think a rookie cap is coming in the next CBA battle. No way these owners want to keep paying 30-40 mil guaranteed to the top picks.
  11. And many of Badol's points are just as "paper thin." He's taking a glass half-empty approach to the extreme. Like the "stroud and Schobel are only rotational players." That point is laughable at best. Stroud would start on most of the teams in the league and was an extremely good defender last season. Sure this team has problems, but there are also bright points that we have to look at going forward. Sure, with this coaching staff, we may not win more than 5 games next year. But to ignore the good things this team does have is just as foolish as ignoring the bad things, and amounts to nothing more than whining. And your little comment on "some fans know more than others," makes you simply look like an ass. Being negative all the time hardly means you are more "intelligent" or "realistic" than any other fan. I challenge you or badol to actually demonstrate this claimed "intelligence" and make a post breaking down the good and the bad of the 2009 bills, instead of just claiming how everything sucks. I know that's asking a lot of you to break your MO, but go ahead, give it a try.
  12. People hated him because TD traded up to take him, since, thats his fault.
  13. In today's NFL, it is fair to expect high pick rookies to play a role and make an impact for a team. I certainly wouldn't expect any rookie to play lights out, but there's no reason not to expect them to contribute. Take DE for instance. If we took a DE, there's no reason to think that a rookie couldn't duplicate the horrendous play of chris kelsay. The onyl difference is that kelsay has hit his ceiling while a rookie would have the chance at being better. Just because they may make mistakes is no reason not to play rooks. Of course, even if we do draft a DE, dickie j will probably put him on the bench and let worthless piles of crap like kelsay keep[ getting snaps instead of developing the rooks. Instead of taking 1 step so you can take 2 forward with a rookie, jauron would rather not risk it, and stay in the 7-9 safe zone.
  14. I wouldn't necessarily call it a "front wall." I think a more appropriate nickname for our o-line would be the Maginot O-Line.
  15. So you're saying that we suck at sucking?
  16. The Bills will NOT draft an OT in round 1.
  17. You guys have made me cry with laughter here at work. thanks a ton. Truly an epic thread.
  18. Am i the only Eagle scout around here? Have the kids divide up into small groups of 2-3, and have them conduct a mock draft and let them decide on logical picks for the Bills. Post the results on here, and we'll see if we can tell the difference in logic between their mocks and the rest of the TBD mocks.
  19. Weren't you there? You should remember what he said.
  20. I actually think it was more like, "I want the !@#$ing RB."
  21. He is. I havent seen his scouting reports, but he played safety in college. He's 6'1" 220lb, so that would be a solid SS. Or here in Buffalo, a decent sized LB.
  22. Before we go further, can you please clarify on who makes the final decisions? So far, you've blamed Ralph, Marv, Brandon, and Jauron for all having the final say on poor decisions. Can you just pick 1 and stick with it in your ceaseless bashing?
  23. For those that have never seen it, every year, Gregg Easterbrook does his mock of all the mock draft out there, selecting anyone and everyone from all walks of life. Here's this year's version: http://sports.espn.go.com/espn/page2/story...mp;sportCat=nfl
  24. Having final say != makes the decisions on who to draft. Everything that the Bills organization does needs to be run by Wilson to get his approval but that doesn't mean he's sitting in the war room with his draft magazine determining who to pick.
  25. Seconded as an FSU/Bills fan. We heard a lot about him during recruiting a few years back. The guy is the biggest scumbag piece of sh--, and an absolute worthless human being.
